Agreed a sale with PX informed the salesman that had been offered £2000 by we buy any car sight unseen but that they had reduced to £1600 upon sight of the dents and other damage. Told him the car was damaged on both sides. We buy any car estimated this at £400.
The car being bought was over 14K.
Agreed £1500 PX. Paid the balance by bank transfer. Upon the day of the deal salesman and manager refused PX trying to claim that I had not been honest about the damage. They declined the PX. They then asked for the extra £1500 by bank transfer. So I simply said give me my money back as you are changing the terms of our agreement. After much head shaking and face pulling They said they would offer £1350 PX. Which I accepted, do not be taken for a ride by this lot. This type of sharp practise gets car salesman a bad name. If you are not happy walk away and your consumer rights means their non-refundable deposit clause is not worth the paper it’s written on if they try to change the deal retroactively.
If they had been up front and said the PX value needed renegotiation I would have listened to their offer. They were never going to lose the sale which is obvious when they moved from £1500 to £150. It’s pathetic. Would not recommend this outfit.

All round good experience, relaxed and not pushy.

Phoned by chance for same day appointment, spoke to a chap called Jason we were able to go over asap and test drive the car that we had been looking for, Jason was very professional friendly and very helpful, as the viewing was short notice the car had been on the forecourt and needed a clean although the inside had been valeted, While we were sorting the paperwork out Jason had the car cleaned and was ready for us to drive of the forecourt, unfortunately the car didn’t have a manual so Jason said he would go online and order us one then post it on, true to his word we received the manual a week later. We drove 90 miles back home and the car is absolutely perfect lovely drive so thank you Jason

I have to say after our initial browsing of all of the cars at Oakwood motor company our initial comment was how clean and well presented they all were, all bodywork on the cars looked immaculate, we were dealt with by Sam who greeted us but left us to browse and didn’t suffocate us like most main dealers do, definitely had the family feeling which is a massive plus, after finding what we were looking for we were shown around the car and offered a test drive, nothing was to much for the team at Oakwood, car drove perfectly as mentioned above very well presented car, needless to say we purchased the car and couldn’t be happier, keep doing what you do gents, would highly recommend a visit to the showroom.

I went to Oakwood not knowing what I wanted. I found my car after looking at 2 others. They worked hard to get my my finance and within 5 days it was valeted had a new MOT and we was on our way. Brilliant service and will definitely use again

We travelled from a distance to buy the right car for us so we didn't want to do several journeys. We paid a refundable deposit to secure the car and the car was prepared so we could part exchange and drive away on the same day. Communication throughout was excellent. Jason on the day was friendly, informative and didn't pressurise us at all. The car we purchased and drove away was of good quality and at a fair price. Many thanks to all involved.
