Was a bit worried about buying from a used car dealer, but A1 Ortos Ltd were brilliant. No pressure, straight talking and really helpful. Car was exactly as promised and I’m really happy with it. Would definitely use them again.

Avoid A1 Ortos at all costs. Me and my partner, bought a car here in August 2025 and it turned out to be a complete disaster. Within days, an independent garage confirmed multiple serious faults — heavy corrosion to the subframe and chassis, worn bushes on all arms, exhaust problems, and more. These are major safety concerns that should have been picked up at the most recent MOT, along with the A1 Ortos inspection. The dealership knew about some faults and failed to disclose them, then tried to fob us off with a token “goodwill” payment instead of taking responsibility. We’ve since obtained written evidence that these problems could not possibly have developed in just 30 days. The DVSA has been informed about the MOT, and we are now preparing legal action to get our money back. They sold us an unsafe car, ignored our rights under the Consumer Rights Act, and forced us to put our two young children in a vehicle that should not been on the road. The car is now sat on our drive, not roadworthy and we are now having to hire cars to get to A to B. They're are an absolute joke! Their behaviour has been disgraceful and we will be proceeding with legal action against them.

I bought a Discovery Sport, The car wasn’t ready for 12 days, when I got it and all the paperwork was filled out for the day of purchase 250 miles had been put on the clock. They then spend 40 odd minutes trying to badmouth the finance company’s warranty and try to flog you there own version that they assure you is the real deal… is clearly not worth the paper it’s written on. Then the fun began, after getting in the car and being assured I’d have enough fuel to get to a petrol station, I had 3 miles of fuel in the car. Fast forward 20 minutes, I’ve now filled up and I’m on my way down the M6, the suns shining. I turn in the Aircon and nothing but warm air. I contacted A1 while heading home and I was fobbed off repeatedly, 7 days later they finally agreed to book it somewhere of there choosing to be looked at, 45 mins after the repair it was back to the same place as they hadn’t fixed the issue at all. Then the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree, I rang them and they were not interested whatsoever. Joe and Dylan were always too busy to help. The finance company’s warranty spent 3 months battling with them before they took the car from me after independant reports showed all issues with the car have been present a while and they had done there utmost to mask them. The independent review also noted the dashboard fault codes had been cleared the day before I picked the car up.

I purchase a 13 year old second hand Audi Q7 from A1 Ortos and the customer service I received was outstanding, everyone at the garage was always more than happy to help with any enquiries I had. I needed a large family car on a budget so had to go for something older, which I was reserved about especially being a diesel, this garage sells really nice motors they seam to pick out the cleanest ones and reasonably priced. The Q7 I purchase being a exceptionally good condition part exchange A1 Ortos had taken in, they made sure the car was in complete working order. There own qualified technician fully tested the car in every way and anything required was completed regardless of cost. I can honestly say in the 23 years car ownership I’ve never dealt with a dealership as honest as this one. Family owned and built on reputation these guys really are about their customers. I 100% recommend and will be returning for my next motor. They also offer comprehensive warranty’s unlike no others I’ve seen before for extra piece of mind which I would recommend. Seen a vehicle on Ebay and gave Jay a £500 deposit to secure it. I was told the vehicle was waiting for a part from the mot and told it would be ready in a week. I contacted them a week later, to be told the part still hadn't arrived and they couldn't give me a timescale. I repeatedly rang all week, to be told Jay would ring me back. One day I rang 5 times!!! And still never had a return call. 2 weeks later i was still being told the part hadn't arrived and they had no idea when it would arrive, and no timescale was given. I was left hanging with no car, and no timescale. 3 weeks in, I rang the garage several times, to be told Jay would call me back. I was also told that I would be informed as soon as the part arrived. By this time I couldn't understand how a part could take so long!!!!.... I rang the garage on Thursday of the 3rd week of waiting, to be told Jay would call me back again... when i did spesk to Jay, all he did was blame other people saying he could only tell me what he was told.....By this stage I'd had enough, Sunday I travelled around and bought another car. 3 days later I contacted the garage for my deposit back, only to be told Jay is not in, and he would ring me tomorrow. No surprise there... Exactly 3 weeks to the day of waiting, Jay phoned me back to return my deposit, and at the same time told me that the car was on the ramps having the part fitted!!!! Which you can imagine, I was fumming. They hadnt even phoned me to tell me the part had arrived.... This is absolutely shocking behaviour from a dealership... but looking at the other reviews on here it seems like this is there norm. They have no customer care.....And looking at the reviews theres a lot of people worse off than me.
