“Warning and please spend your time read my review before buying cars from this scam company”. I am an international student who work part time as well. I was looking for a car to drive to work because I work in London, and I live 2 hours away from London. I found A40 motors on Auto Treader App which many people told me it is trustable application. I bought a mini countryman car at A40 Motors where is 40-44 Western Avenue, W37TZ on 30/08/23. I paid all cash for them which was 8,785 pound which include new MOT 1 year and I paid the warranty 2 years 399 pound more which total 9,184 pound. I am going to tell the story issue one by one, please spend your time read it you will know how much bad this company. First (on 30/08/23) The car was not ready for me to take at the same day that I paid the car. They said they had another car which was mini countryman as well and another customer bought it and wanted the car in the same day, so then they claim that they have to take some part out from the car that I bought and they already order the new one for my car and they made commitment that when the car done they will do free delivery at my home which is far from London 2 hours. Then, I cannot do anything because already I paid them all, I must wait. Second (on 1/09/23) I was checking on the app they put the price of the car that I already paid, up from 8,785 pound to 10,495 pound. I direct message asked them and they said “We have put it for a much higher price because we are low in stock and want to keep the car on page but put in hight price so nobody will call for it”. I was trust them. Third (on 4/09/23) I asked them that when can I get the car because I have to buy the insurance and I need to put the exact date for the insurance. Unfortunately, I have no the answer for that they read my text on WhatsApp but just not answer that they will check and get back to me but they are not. Four (on 10/09/23) I again asking when I can get the car because the reason that I bought the car because I want to save money on traveling by the train but still 11 days that I already paid, and I still not get the car yet. I was angry but cannot do anything because already paid and with cash. They seem like not care anything and I believe that the car was not normal now. Five (on 14/09/23) I keep calling them with many my friend because when they hear my voice, they just act like they busy cannot talk. I told them I need my money back now. Then they said the car already ready to take now. Then I went to take the car. The car looks perfect and very clean, so that make me think maybe I am the one who wrong, in rush and maybe the thing works like this in UK because everything people work slowly. Then I took the car back to my home. The car has NO MOT which they commitment at the start and NO Flue tank cap and have lots of smoke coming out. Six (on 15/09/23) I had to drive back to the company because NO MOT which they promised to do but they are not. Moreover, during the way drive to the company there is the sign appeared on the car that “Full engine power no longer available. Possible to continue journey. Drive moderately. Have the problem checked by the nearest MINI service”. I gave the car to them to fix and do MOT. I don’t know for some reason the MOT not passed. Again, I have to leave the car at their company to fix it out. They told me to come pick the car when the car ready. I said NO the company have to delivery anyhow because at first the promise that they will deliver but they have not. Remember that I stay far away from London 2 hours. It is not fun to travel all the time because of car issue. So, finally I got the car on 24/09/23. Seven (0n 14/11/23) After I got the car on 24/09/23 I take crae the car good as much I can I love the car like my sun I did service and drive very soft. I only used the car on Friday to drive 2 hours into London for work and stay in London till Sunday and drive back 2 hours to home. Never go anywhere far. Nevertheless, on 14/11/23 which is not even 2 months again the sign car issue come up which is the same sign that I the car have issue. I feel so bad with the A40 and not trust them anymore. I text them a lot that the car have problem but they was ignore me and not even answer the whatsapp, I called them manytime they not pick up. I used another my friend phone called them they pick up the call but when they hear my voice they just cut the call. I keep calling them but they just ignore. Then I talk with many people and everyone said they are like of scam people they sale verybad car and they not care and ignore and I cannot even ask my money back they will just say then sue me. I am just a international student here. I cannot fight with them. I make decision to take the car to another proper car mechanic shop. They found lots of issue in the car. They said the car very bad position. I lose money around almost 2,000 pound to fix the car which is not cover by the warranty because the warranty that A40 sale to me was a useless one. I fix the car and keep using which all the time get stress and scared that what will again issue appear. Eight (on 7/12/23) The car again have warning sign issue. I took to the car mechanic shop and this time I have to pay more than 250 pound to fix the car. I would like to warn everyone NOT TO BUY the cars with this company because they are just scammer. They will not care you after they get your money. I cannot do anything cannot even sell the car now because I’m just a student, not have much money to lose. I bought the car with 9, xxx-pound and fixed the car 2, xxx-pound total. This is not only losing money, but also stresses and sadness.

I have never came across a more dodgy car sales than this. Avoid at all costs. They’re not worthy of your money. Purchased a Renault, the advert said it has a full service history. The service history has not been provided despite being told it was left on the passengers seat in the car. When delivered, it was not there. 15 days later, no service history has been provided. They drove the car illegally several times during which it was not taxed before selling and then the buyer had to tax the vehicle themselves. The vehicle was advertised as having a sat nav that works. It arrived and does not work at all. The dealer has no idea how to fix suggesting it requires an SD card. It actually requires an update via a USB however the point is that it was sold as fully working. Only one set of keys supplied. No explanation where the second set is. Rear door does not open, massive safety concern with three children in the back. Should the car be involved in an accident this would be a massive risk and no way of safely getting out. The dealer told me it’s a “small” issue and does not see the problem. They offered £100 to fix locally, it costs way more then that to be fixed. They were supposed to supply a warranty, this was not provided. This had to be chased. Day 14 after purchase the warranty was said to have been activated. The issues experienced conveniently don’t fall under warranty. Even though the car was delivered faulty. The tyres are torn and low in tread. They advise they replaced one with a part work tyre. It’s in awful condition. The car arrived without coolant, we had to purchase coolant to fill the tank. The mileage computer suggests that a service was not completed recently making me wonder when the last one was actually completed. The attitude of the staff is appalling. They see no issues with what they’re selling. The terms and conditions are enough to put off anyone from buying from them. They basically imply they sell dodgy cars and they know it, if you buy, don’t bother contacting them as it’s not their problem. Long and short. There’s no official way to complain, no email address. Just a measly WhatsApp. If you’re lucky you’ll receive a response. I waited and waited to post this review to give them a chance to rectify the issues to which they have not therefore have left me with no issue but to leave reviews. Do not let their shiny showroom and initial demeanour tempt you, every car sold is faulty. There’s a reason this place has bad reviews throughout wherever you look. They’re not even registered on Companies House. The owner is registered somewhere else. The whole business is dodgy. They offered a refund however want to take a lot of money off the price paid, they suggest it will take 28 days before receiving a refund. That leaves us down with no money and no car. How’s this acceptable? With no care towards their customers I strongly urge everyone reading this to steer clear. They buy their good reviews. Believe the negative reviews. Awful awful awful.

Firstly, you don't get Road TAX with the car, you have to buy your own. Secondly, didn't you check the car over before you agreed to buy? If you don't know about cars, ask a friend who does to go with you, check everything, even underneath. Who wouldn't check something they are paying thousands for. There are vehicle history check apps, which also give you information on past MOTs.

Bought my car. 1.5 months later the full backseat was full of mould and they told me there was nothing they could do. SHIT service.

Avoid,sold a car with problem and refuse to refund. Avoid buying for this guys, sold me a B class with problems,I took it back next day with ABS ESP and more lights on dashboard, and he was trying to get 300 £ from my money and after he refuse to refund me at all back ,in the end he refund my money with 85 £ less, Obd port door was open, he just erased all the lights and sold the car with defects

COWBOYS. LIES TO GET THE SALE. DO NOT TRUST. I strongly urge those looking at a car at A40 Motors to walk away. The guys here are the most dishonest dealers i have ever dealt with. Bought a 2011 Mini Countryman all4 S at £8k. Went to view the car. Wasn’t much in way of customer service. Was left to look at the car alone. On the face of it it looked good but I did notice oil in the lower tray below the engine. I asked what’s the oil and does the car have a leak. The dealer had then informed me that it was spillage from changing filters during its service. The car was supposedly fully serviced. I asked for a testdrive and was refused it on the basis that they don’t offer test drives which seemed weird. I asked the dealer just to confirm with the mechanic that the oil is not a leak and just a spillage from the service. I waited 30 min for this. The dealer finally came back and said the mechanic said the car is good to go. All serviced no leaks. I then noticed the service book wasn’t stamped and he said he’ll get that done right away. They didn’t stamp it and gave it back to me empty. Upon driving home I immediately noticed a grind when applying brakes, smell of eggy oil burning and a bump coming from the rear. I took the car immediately to my usual local mechanic and he informed me of this. The oil leak is coming from the rocker cover gasket. Callipers faulty All disk and pads were worn down. The car had not been serviced for at least 6 months. I contacted A40 motors and they gave me an address of a mechanic to take it to. On my way to that mechanic I discovered 6th gear doesn’t work. Everytime I put it in 6th it slips back out to neutral after 2 seconds. Not great when you’re on the motorway. I told the dealer about this and he’s said to let the mechanic know. I had 3 separate conversations with the mechanic regarding this gearbox issue, not to mention I’d spoken with the dealership about this issue beforehand. However when I collected the car the only thing that they said they fixed was the front disks and brakes and they replaced the rocket cover gasket. When I asked the dealership about the gearbox they said that I never asked the mechanic to do this. This was a blatant lie. So then I was told to take it to another mechanic but had to wait for the part. After two days the car broke down in the middle of Hyde park. Apparently the battery fitted was completely the wrong battery and would have only been installed to just get the car running. The dealer did not assist with recovery. I had to pay £110 for the recovery to take the car to the their mechanic. 2 weeks later Iv had little response and still no car. I got a new job in the same week I bought this car and due to the mis selling practices of these guys Iv lost so much money and maybe my employment as I’m still not able to start. The dealership promised they will fix at the car by replacing the gearbox and all the other issues. However it’s taken over a week now everytime I’m given a completion date a new excuse is born. First the part was delayed. Then the mechanics son was rushed to hospital. Excuse after excuse. Still I’m not able to get my car back and start my job. These guys are liars. They have no shame in telling you what you want to hear. Every single word that comes out of their mouth is untrue. They will ignore you, not reply to your text and if they do answer by mistake he will ask to call you back as he’s is with a customer test drive (despite the claim they made to me about not offering test drives) Iv really been so patient with these guys as I DO want this car as it’s a rare spec but I’m being left with little option but to request a refund which im sure they will refuse which means a long drawn out small claims court case to get my money back. I wish I read the reviews on google as the ones on their website are just selected by them and displayed. So so many customers have had a nightmare with these guys. It took 6 weeks for them to attempt to fix my car. 6 weeks of lies and excuses. In the end I got the car back worse than it was before. Now I’m having to pay the costs of this botched repair. My advice is DONT DEAL WITH THESE GUYS and if you really must see a car they have then please take an experienced mechanic with you. It will save you so much money in the long run because these guys will never be honest about the car. They lied to get the sale and now I’m £8k down with a car that Iv not seen for 6 weeks. WORST CAR DEALERSHIP IN LONDON No doubt they will respond to this review with pure lies but I would hate anyone to go through what Iv gone through. Anonymous

DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I have purchased a 2007 VW Eos 2.0TDI from them. On collection of the vehicle I waited at the dealership for 7 hours to release the vehicle. As I took delivery the vehicle was not even cleaned and dust all over the seats (disgusting condition), they replaced front tyres with pre owned tyres with just enough thread to get me home. They gave the car with nothing less than a drop of diesel and not being serviced, this was in April. They promised to service the car and fix the reverse light, sensors, tyre pressure switch and cruise control, this is still not resolved after a few months of fighting with them, now 23rd July. I had drove the vehicle to their dealership 5 times from Oxford to London covering 130 miles each time. The problems are still not resolved and they told me that they had services it but haven't changed the oil. Further to this I have replaced disk and brake pads costing £200, replaced the DPF filter costing me £1500 and further costs associated to exhaust pressure sensors, A/C pressure switch and cruise control switch costing more than half of what the car is worth. The last time I had taken the car in the promised to fix the problems but instead I received the car back with a broken CV joint and steering wheel at a 45 degree angle, they had obviously knocked my car. They still don't want to answer me or respond to my calls, texts or emails. DO NOT CONSIDER A40 CAR SALES IN ACTON, LONDON.
