I am a 21 year old student and also a mother. I decided to go to Car Giant, after a very bad experience with my first car. I genuinely thought I was going to the right place. Little did I know I would have been better off going to a local garage to purchase a car. Although the car had no service history I would never expect that Car Giant would not do so much as to check that my wiper blade was not broken. After okay using them twice the right wiper blade fell off and caused deep scratches to the windscreen. I took the car back and guess who they blames for the scratches? They said it's because I park my car under a tree. But the experience becomes more ridiculous. I began having a serious problem with the engine cutting out whilst driving and long story short I will be instructing a solicitor to approach them as. My life and my daughters life as well as other road uses life's have been put in danger and they are not at all helpful or willing to accept their duty of care. I wouldn't say don't buy a car from there but if you do be very vigilant and make sure you know exactly what your buying. Also if you have already bought a car and it's clear they have breached their duty don't stay silent.

Surprisingly same thing happened to me, my car engine started cutting off soon after I bought it from car giant (I bought a Ford Focus Zetec new shape 2012- 31400 miles only!!!!). as you mentioned, they denied any responsibility since I didn't purchase their so called warranty (glad I didn't as it is useless). I took the car to Trust Ford 3 times, they changed assy foils, spark plugs, even alternator, each time i paid £300, yet the problem is still there. Cargiant are protected as it appears one can never win them. they are corporate thieves.
In the 3 months I've had the car it's been off the road for at least a month, there has been issue after issue and Cargiant haven't been sympathetic or particularly helpful. I was at the point where I simply wanted to give the car back. I won't be going back.

I'm loving my car and it's going well, I recently took a long journey in it and it handled it very well. The sale was a little more rushed than I would have liked, it's a give you your car and on your way type of sale. But then again it's probably better than having a saleman talk to you for hours.

I would buy from Cargiant again, I found them very friendly and professional, I didn't have a single problem with them and apart from an issue with the brakes I am very happy with the quality of my Mercedes, I would say they are worth a recommendation.

Bought a VW Jetta with 62 plate from Cargiant and the transmission broke down after two weeks. The car was picked up by Cargaint for it to be repaired even though I requested to exchanged it for a different car and was refused. They are still in possession of the car for nearly 3 weeks and still waiting as of the time I am writing. PLEASE save yourself from this, beware that they don't do refund or exchange and they will keep your car as long as they like. Buying a car from them is like playing the lottery if you are lucky you get a good one and if you are not .

Wow I WAS thinking of buying a 63 plate focus but after reading so many BAD reviews defo staying clear.
WARNING TO ALL CAR GIANT BUYERS. Looked at a Mercedes B180 Ref. LM14A which was advertised as £13799. I viewed it late in the evening and wanted to see it the next morning be sure it was the right car to purchase for my parents. I arranged a time with the sales agent Usman C. for the following morning at 10.30 am to view the vehicle and to potentially purchase. I arrived on time following morning to discover that they put the price up by £1000 to £14799, their excuse they incorrectly priced the car originally. Manager Dale offered me a £100 discount for the trouble caused but maintained the increase. Its not CAR GIANT its called CAR SHARK. DO NOT TRUST AT ALL. If they can lie at the beginning of the sale there is no telling what hidden lies there are beneath the bonnet of your potential car your going to buy from them.
I had to send the car back to Cargiant for a fault but they responded well and fixed it, the sale went alright, I got a good deal and everything was hunky dory.

I was happy with the service at Cargiant when I was here in May, the car was valeted and ready on time. The engine management light came on 5 days after driving the vehicle away and I had to pay for some work to be done which perhaps could have been avoided by a more thorough servicing before sale. Besides that I had no other problems.
