I applied for a car finance with Cars2 Hyundai in Wakefield (on a Friday) and gave £400 deposit. The day after (saturday) the application I got a call from them saying that unfortunately couldn't find any finance company for me so they would send me back my deposit and it would take up to 5 working days, obviously I thought that I would have this money with me by Friday but I DIDN'T. I called them next Saturday asking why I didn't receive they money yet and I was told to call back on Monday (6 days legally passed and no sign of my money). Called the office and asked to speak to a manager and I was told that I would get a call back from a manager which never happened and I also that I had to wait for the money because they couldn't do anything I was furious by that time and out of pocket because I was counting on that money. I had to go there personally and ask to speak again with a manager which never showed up to speak to me. So they went to see the application and then found out they THE MONEY WAS NEVER SEND BACK TO ME 😤😤😤. Only then I was told and given a recipe with the refund and that the money would be shortly in my account, I told them that I wouldn't leave until I see my money in my account. Waited 2 hours ( that's the max time transaction take). After 2 hours I was still without money. They came back to me surprised I was still there and told me again they couldn't do anything anymore and that I had to was max 2 OTHER DAYS, so it wasn't "SHORTLY " like I was told it was 2 more fucking days. I was asked politely to leave the premise. I asked they for a complaint book and I was told that they didn't have one and if I wanted I could send an email to the manager who never wanted to speak to me. Believe it or not it is passed 4 days and I am still waiting for my money. This was the worst experience I ever had with such a big company.

Will never buy a car again from cars2 hyundai wakefield, sold me an x rental car wasn't informed before i purchased it told 1 owner the car had a couple of rust spots on roof was told would be rerrified after 4 attempts wasn't happy then got in touch with the finance company they inspected the car said it needed a new roof car came back still had faults with the roof so contacted hyundia again to say wanted to reject the car now waiting on the ombudsmen to rule cars2 didn't want to know when we asked for the car to be taken back and replaced there was no service history was told we would get that never happened so the car is not worth the money ive paid for it we were loyal customers never again

Recently bought a car from Cars2 Hyundai Wakefield and had no issues what so ever, car was in brilliant condition the salesman was polite and courteous instantly offering me a tea/coffee and happily took the time to explain all the details about the car and different options available to me would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Took deposit, shook hands.with scott and manager.to pick up friday. Every day asked for some id, then told finance pending. confirmed thurs to pick up friday,not ready more id. I called saturday they said problem with finance!!!!! checked on car people website no problem!!!! have agreed over phone!!!! (I work in financial services). They said never going give me finance-shouting at me in middle showroom, i advised they had no right taking all my id then,they have broken gdpr. Reported them to FCA and taking civil action. THEY WONT GIVE DEPOSIT BACK!!!!!!!!!!! Read website they can take deposit on a car even if its sold!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Dozy Unprofessional and unqualified

Quite simply the worst experience I’ve ever had making a purchase. A car dealership with a 1970’s / 80’s mentality. Research other reviews. So out of date it’s embarrasing. The staff genuinely called out their concerns regarding the management to me on several occasions.

Where do I begin? Cars 2 will promise you the earth to get a sale and then undeliver every step of the way. I was told I would get my new Hyundai Tucson by end of March, I didn't get it until mid-April. I was told they would sort out putting my private plate on the vehicle, they completely messed it up then told me I had to deal with DVLA to sort it out because it was my "fault". I was told they would pay back the £200 deposit I put down on the car, but that took them a week and a half and daily phone calls to chase them. I was told they would pay off my settlement (balloon payment) as part of the part-exchange on my old car and they didn't, meaning I went into arrears, potentially affecting my credit rating. Communication is awful, you have to do all the chasing. I must have made dozens of calls over a period of about a month to try to sort out their repeated messes. If you listen to one review this year, make it this one. Do not go anywhere near Cars 2.

Went into cars 2 speculatively I was treatdd well by Tom Otley we talked business for almost 2 days and I was happy with my purchase nice people the car is great and I will go back.

After test driving a few suvs I decided between the Tucson and the Kia Sportage. Scott took me for a long test drive down the motorway as that’s what I mainly drive on. And then got me a great discount and part exchange price. I don’t normally post reviews but the customer service and the deal were second to none

This entire car buying experience has been a complete disappointment and very frustrating – little communication from cars2 (only contacting me when pushed i.e. cancelling the order), numerous failed delivery dates – middle/end of December, January, February, 1st March,16th March I have been continually chasing up delivery/progress an extremely long process for a relatively “standard car” i.e. not a specific factory order to my spec!! start of November to end of March !!! (Nearly 5 months !!!)

Rang about a 17 plate inoniq told price said it was above budget. Salesman went to ask manager who said he could get close to our budget. So rang next morning to check that was going to be the case and again told it was . Decided to drive the 1-1 1/2 hr journey to the car. Got there the carwas not even in the county never mind Wakefield ,tried to sell us a year older car for more money. American Manager would not budge on price and never apologised for inconvenience.
