DO NOT USE Update 3 - No response again trying to get my car back no one answers the phone. Update2 - Car went back today no update cant reach anyone was told I would get my car back by 16:00 keep calling and constantly get cut off. Update - Went back for one day diagnosed the issue then went back next day for repair they scuffed an alloy but as an offer of goodwill offered to repair 2 that I scuffed aswell. Now booked in again as the batery fitted seems to be having issues as my car completely resets every shutoff. Darren in the work shop extremely helpful but just seems a back and fourth. Will change review when and if all issues are resolved. Sale experiance was amazing. Aftersales collecting the car extremely poor. Reported issues with the car within 3/4 days of having it getting told would be past on didnt get a response at all. I ended up having to go there with the car to actually try and get it resolved. Told I need to bring the car and collect even though I traded in a perfectly working car for this one no courtesy car. Reported issues from the test drive faulty battery warning and still have the same issues which I was told would be resolved. Now being told them issues are not covered.
Introduced to Alec Kay who tłok me through the proces of buying my new car Very knowlegable and friendly, explained everything in simple terms so that i understood what was involved financially before i continued with the purchase. I then had a wiat until Mia was free to arrange the tax for me and show me to the car where she offered to show me rotunda, as i had already had a trial run, this was not neccessary. All the staff were very friendly but the Onet i had dealings with were excellent.

Took the money and sold us a car with warning lights on. Took over 5 weeks to fix with no communication to us at all. Wouldn't respond to emails or phone calls Never again Unfortunately paid cash so unable to proceed with the banks approval for a refund, one week in and told that a refund is not an option, they would consider the car as trade in My advice is go somewhere else
Bought a car and paid cash. No checks no service, received it with warning lights on. Carshop Manchester won't communicate and left without a car for weeks. Won't allow a refund as the car is now registered in my name even though in the returns period. Won't communicate - nothing. Stay clear as they will take your money and do a runner with it

Great when taking your money off you, terrible at aftersales and fixing issues with a car in warranty. Still have the problem they arent interested. Over priced avoid at all costs.
Terrible, worse company ever, reported to trading standards for selling an unroad-worthy car, twice. Buy from auction, advertise straight away, then they do an untrustworthy service once sold, problem after problem, 4 weeks later 'ready' to collect not cleaned, gardex sold but not done and had a nail in tyre so still unroadworthy. No apology. Awful service. Very disappointing, Ford kuga are lovely cars but I will NEVER buy from here!!!!

I bought my car, in the summer time mid 2022 and within 3 months I had an engine management fault which saw my car sent back to the car shop Ashton/Manchester for a Diagnostics run for a warranty claim. This came back with a fault and fixed in the October 2022/November 2022. The car was returned to me and in the December 2022 over Christmas the same engine fault came on and the car began to enter limp mode. I managed to book my car in with the car shop and dropped it off in the first week of January 2023. This is where my customer service experience/aftersales takes a turn for the worst. I had purchased an extended warranty and on this second breakdown booked it in for a diagnostics test. This took around 2 weeks to get back to me and to my utter dismay was told - "We have found the fault, the piece of kit we need to fix it isn't on site. You will need to pick the car up take it to BMW and get them to re diagnose and get them to give us the estimate/price for the warranty group to authorise." Firstly, I don't understand how somewhere can sell you a car, and warranty to go with it, but then not have the correct equipment to fix the car and secondly, I cannot believe I was asked to drive an unsafe, broken car on the motorway because I had to arrange the logistics. I had took my car to the car shop and believe they should have done this. I needed the car sorting urgently as I work, have a family and were now sharing a car for what was at this point 4 weeks. Guess what, no consideration given to this and no thought to say look we have had it for a number of weeks, what about a courtesy car option to see you through. I managed to get the car to BMW Stockport who was really understanding and rang the diagnostics that day. I had a phone call off them and a video of the faults, and inspection of the car. They produced the invoice and sent it to me to forward to the car shop for warranty claim processing. I was also shocked as they said that the coil packs that needed doing looked to be non genuine parts. This was what was supposed to have been changed the last time the car broke in October/November 2022 for the first warranty claim. I cannot believe that for a warranty claim non genuine parts were used or had they even been fixed???? Who knows what to believe. I sent the email to a Darren Watson at Service for the car shop Ashton. I had no reply email, no confirmation or receipt of email notification. I was left another week. I rang nearly every day for an update to be told "I will raise this with management via email to contact you urgently" This was utter nonsense. I have never had a phone call from a manager and have been left chasing for updates constantly. I finally spoke with Darren Watson again who said "I am really sorry, I have completely forgot to process the claim". This was a week on, since I had sent the email. I am completely at a loss. I am now on the 28th February 2023 and my car still isn't sorted (8 weeks) now with no car. I have lost count of the different stories I have been told by various people I get through to in store. I have been lied to, forgotten about and left to have no car, children to drop off, work to attend all without any alternate vehicle/courtesy vehicle option. They have shown no interest at all. I still do not know if my claim has been put through and have been put in the "out of sight, out of mind pile". I would not recommend anyone buy a car from the car shop, and I would not recommend you get a warranty through them either. It has not served its purpose and ill descript of what I was originally promised. Good Luck to those who purchase with The Car Shop - Nice until you buy the car........ once you have issues goodbye customer service, your on your own.

I give it the one star because a few people I spoke to at the centre tried their best to help, otherwise it'd be a zero if I had the option. Start to finish of the process was awful. 1) Bought a car which was at the Wakefield centre, they transferred it to Manchester, didn't call to let me know. I drove all the way to Wakefield only to drive all the way back to Manchester 2) Online valuation of my part exchange quoted £3180 - guaranteed as it stated on the website. When I got there, they claimed it was £1000 less because it had had 3 previous owners. The sales agent managed to offer me some additions to increase the value to £2750, which I was grateful for, even though it was £430 less than quoted. No bother, I'll carry on 3) I buy the car to use as taxi, get it insured at £187, which is £137 more expensive than my private insurance, take it for Taxi Licensing test, and turns out the bonnet release system is faulty. Already, I have to pay an extra £60 to rebook the test. I call carshop, they promise to call me back from the branch, no one calls. The next day, I call again chasing, they promise to call again, no one calls. At this point, I get frustrated, call them on the third day, and they ask me to bring the car into the centre. This is on 18th February. I get a call later on saying the car will be repaired on 2nd March! This is a full month where I'm unable to work, but having to pay £137 extra business insurance (my private insurance was £50, taxi is £187), £280 for the car, plus £60 retest fee that I lost. Again, instead of abandoning the car as I was still within my 14-day window, I tried to be positive. Asked for the £137 insurance difference and £60 retest to be covered by carshop as they're responsible for making me lose business, but no! They won't pay the insurance difference. I'm offered £60. This is a total extra £500+ jumping out of my account which should have been covered by taxi income should the car not have been faulty, but I'm offered 60 quid. I have made a decision to not abandon what I've started, but for you thinking about it, I've seen better. Evans Halshaw, Arnold Clark, anywhere else but carshop.

Carshop Manchester have all of the emails and RAC/Assurant reports, the warranty and service plans arn't worth the paper. Carshop expect me to pay £1000 for their mistakes. They don't want to take responsibility. I've been without a car a month now. Diabolical service. They offered £350 towards cost.. bloody insulting!
