"Appalling from start to, well, no end..."

Terrible from start to, well not even a finish. The car was late due to an "incident", the courtesy car replacement could also not be delivered (so was a day late). When the car finally did arrive (and this isn't Cazoos fault as I lost my father the day before the original delivery), when we finally got to take it for a proper drive, was making a worrying noise. After having to take a day off at short notice to get the car checked over it turned out that BOTH rear wheel bearings had gone and needed to be replace, also during this check one tyre was on the limit of being legal and the other three need replacing asap. Then having to take another day off at short notice to get the bearings replaced, I explained what had happened requesting some form of compensation. I was then offered 12 months warranty, which would not cover the £250 quoted to replace the tyres. Following that I was offered the £250 to replace the tyres, which I accepted (though I should add now without the extended warranty). It has now been a month and they have failed several times to transfer the £250. They even had the cheek to tell me "I will now be closing this case." despite it not actually being closed. All in all a most appalling experience from start to god knows where it will end. I wish I'd spent my weekends looking round forecourts, it would have been quicker and less painful!

Range Rover Only had the car three weeks funny noise coming from the engine looks and I need to see the problem can see it’s been re-sprayed because of the overspray at front bumper now today of water coming into the car from the top window screen put in for complaint cannot fit for purpose please no not bye off cazoo

Car needed £1800 of work after 3 months of owning it. It’s only a 2017 reg. Needed a new adblue tank and Cazoo would only pay £1800 as couldn’t prove it was faulty at time of purchase. I don’t think you can be assured of the quality of a vehicle when buying online. Too much of a risk.

Bought my car August 2021, initially very happy. Came to MOT in March 2022 to find there had been an advisory on the rear brakes at the last MOT and not only had this not been fixed on the ‘300’ point check - what on earth do they check if the brakes are not considered an important function?? But i was not told there were any advisory’s and continued to drive my car completely unaware of the danger i could have been in had i needed to use the brakes in an emergency situation. When i contacted Cazoo, amazed that this was not repaired on their super 300 point check even though they were aware of advisory i was informed that they were not prepared to cover the cost because this was only an advisory. Had they at least told me that there was an advisory i could have made the car safe or chosen not to purchase. I bought the car presuming it had no issues as they advertise having conducted so many checks, and it coming with an MOT. I am very disappointed to say the least and it is definitely a case of - we have your money, we’re not interested in your safety or faults that were on the car at the time of purchase. Be warned, dont trust their checks!

Just to note that you can check for past MOT history and basic features of a car using an app in seconds. I use VehicleSmart (iOS) with the reg number and I find this invaluable. This gives me a sense of how the vehicle has been treated in its life. I also wouldn't expect advisories to be repaired prior to purchase as not mandatory, these are often of the opinion of the tester, but a quick scan would tell you if you want to factor this into the price/purchase.

You can go to mot check. This is a government website where you can read the mot history before purchase. Do your homework before complaining.

Bought yet another car from them, this is my second one, they part-exchanged the other one with outstanding finance. Whole process was as fast as the first time, had the car in 3 days, everything online. They've offered a very good value for the part- exchange, you just can't go wrong with them. Magnificent company. Pretty sure i'm gonna change this one as well in a year or two cause why not?! 😂 my brother has his car from them as well as i recommended. Perfect job Cazoo

Bought a car from Cazoo in June 2021 Bought a car from Cazoo in June 2021. Had a few issues along the way which were rectified after speaking with senior management. Mainly around the 300 point check never being documented. Nine months into owning the vehicle it has an oil leak and needs a replacement Lambda sensor, luckily (i thought) I had Cazoo warranty for 12 months. Logged on to get my car booked in and got a load of this from Bethan T: "It is the warranty provider that deals with claims under the warranty, we are not the warranty providers which means I am unable to advise further as to your issue being investigated and resolved " Not sorry the car you bought from us isn't working as it should after 9 months, or sorry you're going to have to get extra work done on a car that should be fit for purpose. Left my name and number for a manager to call me back but have no confidence this will happen. 18/3 - had an email from Trustpilot to say Cazoo needed more information from me to confirm I’d had a genuine experience with Cazoo. Well I’ve bought two vehicles and ended up having a conversation with the Group Customer Experience Director Katherine at the end of last year. So I feel I’ve had a genuine experience. I am not connected with this company. A car is mechanical and likely (as with all mechanisms) it will fail at some point. No company will guard against ‘anything’ going wrong; and 9 months down the road no one can foresee any issue/s that (May) develop. A warranty will help somewhat and I do hope that the warranty you have separately, works in your favour. Be careful out there! 👍🏻

Having never bought a car on-line without actually inspecting it I was a bit nervous about the whole process so it was with some concern when I pressed the 'buy now' button, but I had nothing to fear. Everything when exactly as they said. I collected my car from the Cazoo centre in Ipswich. When I arrived I was met with a pleasant and polite salesman who offered me coffee or a cold drink, we then sat down at a table to go through the handover. The car was parked beside us and I looked around at my leisure, the salesman showed me how to operated the infotainment unit and how to connect my phone .. The whole process was enjoyable and no rush.. I asked lots of questions which were answered politely. The car was beautifully prepared and I was very impressed with the attention to detail. No hesitation in recommending this dealer.

Might be the worst ever. Could list 15 examples. but one from today, Cazoo booked a service two weeks for me, but when I arrived, Cazoo had cancelled it! Never told me, just cancelled it. Wasted over an hour of my time during a working day, cost of petrol. Just the worst ever.

Purchased vehicle from this company when they first started, brilliant service faultless. They even tried to pay us full money back until I told them it was theirs. But honesty has not paid of in this instance. Purchased another vehicle from them and had to jump through various hoops but got there in the end. This car was sold as warranted until 2023 but we discovered that service they have done was brake fluid change only, resulting in vehicle warranty being void, due to time scale. We had to return this vehicle as due to it being diesel which has an RDF filter, which clogged up within two weeks mechanic had to drive it over eighty miles to clear it. So kindly Cazoo accepted it back. Purchased another vehicle from them cash payment as only way we could do this to be able to hand first car back. So now out of pocket nearly £30,000 pounds. Received vehicle to discover after picking it up that it has been in some kind of mishap, as underneath vehicle caked with mud rock solid, complete new sill replacement on drivers, side scuff plate missing,tyre pressure plate missing and masking tape underneath vehicle from repair. Doubtful on history of this vehicle took it back within the seven day period. Picked another one from them paid more money as still no money back from others yet, less than twenty four hours before pick up telephone call from local Cazoo garage, to say driver unable to deliver in morning due to illness, would be delivered two days later. Three hours later telephone call from Cazoo this time to inform me that vehicle won’t be delivered tomorrow due to damage on bumper. Have had enough deceit and lies from them have cancelled now. Leaving a couple of old age pensioners car less now and also £30,600 our savings with Cazoo so cannot even purchase alternative vehicle elsewhere, until we get some money back. What makes matters worst the first vehicle is now back on website advertising manufactures warranty 2023 when void and also advertised at lower mileage than when we returned it.
