Got a Vauxhall insignia from this company. And had nothing but problems from day 1. Drove it home oil leak, then all the coolant went im 100% sure they sold me a car with a cracked head gasket. And all the cars have 60,000 on the clock! Yeah yeah. The only thing good about this place is the valating side. Never buy a car from this place unless you want a wash. Mark york
Cleckheaton Motor Sales advertised car and I placed a deposit based on advertisement. Travelled from Dublin to find that the car was far from advertised and basically a heap of junk. Dealer refused to return deposit and I found the overall experience well below what I would expect.

The salesmen at Cleckheaton Motor Sales are SO full of their self importance it beggars belief! Tried to sell a car with outstanding finance on it, blaming the auctioneers for not sorting it out. Will not negotiate on prices. Act like spoilt school children. Cars not good value either. You can see them spray painting bumpers and bodging repairs to make the cars look better. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They worry me that much i dare not leave my name on this review!!!!!!
Appalling customer service. They don’t answer the phone and very rarely text you back. Bought a car a month ago and engine malfunction light is now on. Car barely drives . Told me to take it back myself, probably a 20 mile journey- how safe is that?? A call to trading standards is next

I'm also interested to find out what trading standards have said about Cleckheaton Motor Sales, My partner just bought a car from them and it broke down as he was driving it home, according to greenflag the engine is faulty. Under the Sale of Goods Act items must be fit for purpose and these cars clearly are not so they shouldn't even be trading.
Bought a car just under 2 years ago from Cleckheaton Motor Sales.Had read the reviews and as there were some positive comments decided to take a chance...Now i wish i had'nt!! Bought a Vauxhall Corsa for £3000...Test drive went well..car was clean but there were a couple of small scrapes and slight damage to one of the wing mirrors so asked if there was a reduction in price ...was told quite bluntly "NO". Drove the car back home on the motorway,it was absolutly fine and at this point i was totally happy with my purchase. Fast forward 2 months...ABS light kept coming on so had it checked by my regular garage...resulting in new ABS system coming in at £500...Then it developed an oil leak which cost £75 to repair...as it was'nt just an "oil leak"....Timing chain began to cause problems another £400+ and it kept cutting out so had new starter motor fitted another £100+. It has to be the most unreliable car i have ever purchased.The staff do'nt answer the phone or reply to emails and i was'nt prepared to drive it a 60 mile round trip in its unreliable state to be told "we can't do anything." Now im having to fix all its faults before selling it on again..which is slowly creeping up towards the price i paid for it...Very disappointed!!
BOUGHT CAR FROM CLECKHEATON MOTOR SALES,PAID 4350, GOT HOME 20 MILES AND IT COMPLETELY OVERHEATED, NO WATER IN SYSTEM, AIR CON DOSNT WORK, SATNAV DOSNT WORK, TYRE SENSOR DOSNT WORK, KNOCKING UNDERNEATH, TODAY NO ELECTRICS, RAND GARAGE WERNT INTERESTED AT ALL, THEN TRIED RINGING BACK AND NO ANSWER AT ALL, BEEN TRYING ALL WEEK. No stars! (but I had to click one). 30/07/2019. Very poor customer service. On visiting the garage four times, the same salesman did not recognise me or know my name. Now for the lies and deceit. The car was sold with one years MOT, however, after taking the car for an independent service and inspection, it had buckled wheels and was unsafe to drive. I gave the opportunity for 'Cleakheaton Motor Sales' to fix/change the alloys. They kept the car for two days and claimed it was rectified and safe to drive. Once again, I took the car to a separate garage to have the wheels inspected. There was no change to the wheels, and on calling the garage to complain and deal with this issue they put the phone down on me. The car is now being inspected by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and I will have to take the matter through trading standards and potentially small claims court. I write this so that others can avoid the whole process in the event of a complaint. AVOID!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Called this morning enquiring about Audi A1 for sale. Was told still available so explained travelling over an hour to view with the hope to buy. Half an hour later got a call back to check which A1 I was interested in and confirmed the car. Turned up and the car was SOLD!!!!! No attempts made to call me. Absolutely wasted journey!
My partner went to look at some transit vans at Cleckheaton Motor Sales,the one he liked didn't have any diesel in and they couldn't find the keys so he couldn't drive it anyway he paid 200 deposit to go back in a couple of days they said the 200 was returnable because he hadn't test driven it,anyway before he returned to pay he was let down by a customer so didn't have the cash for the van so couldn't afford it went back for his deposit to be told some bullshit story that they had put the van through a mot so he couldn't have his deposit back so basically he's paid for the mot pft so we will be takeing it further to the ombudsman
Great cars, very clean and good prices. However, keeping log book slips until they amount to hundreds in order to bulk post is very poor. A postage stamp must be worth the sale of a £5k car?
