I bought a lovely red classic MG from this garage and I'm over the moon with it, its fantastic. The experience was great all round. The garage even delivered it to my door, very quickly - which was a much appreciate and saved me another trip. Everything was very covid friendly, including the car, it had been thoroughly cleaned, inside and out, it was immaculate.

I am over-all very happy with the car I've purchased, I bought the car as sold as seen and considering its age, I expected to run into a whole further issues than I have. James was fantastic, the service he provided was second to none.

After purchasing a car described as ‘excellent condition’ we were shocked and distraught to realise we had been sold a car unroadworthy and held together with fibre glass patches. Bolts missing clamps missing and the rust had been painted over. Buyer beware. Please watch out for yourself. There are numerous reviews online of similar people - do you’re research and don’t end up £1000’s out of pocket.

I recently acquired an MGA (from a specialist MG dealership). It was in generally good condition but it had the common MGA gearbox issues and there were other minor niggles that concerned me as someone who has no mechanical engineering skills. Croydon Classics replaced the gearbox with a Ford type 9 5 speed gearbox, and also the clutch, dynamo (with an alternator), starter motor and solenoid as well as rearranging the switches on the dashboard, and installing new mirrors - all to my complete satisfaction. The new gearbox has transformed the car's performance. I can thoroughly recommend this firm for MG repairs and servicing. CFB, PURLEY

James had a recon MGB 1830 engine which he installed in my MGA to replace tired and underpowered original 1600 one. Some tech issues but James was brilliant on communication and kept me informed at all times of options and costs. Really helpful and knowledgeable. Car is transformed.
