I went to Croydon Classics and dealt with James, I went for some repair work on my vehicle and I have to say, he did an excellent job, the car is brilliant now. I liked that all time frames were met and the work that was carried out was to a high standard, so thank you for all your help. I bought an MG from James in April and its been fantastic, he was polite, professional and easy to speak to. He made the process very easy and clear, everything was explained thoroughly. The car itself is a classic and I love driving it, looks good, feels great to drive and I get some very nice compliments on it. I would recommend to anyone in the market for a classic car.

After purchasing a car described as ‘excellent condition’ we were shocked and distraught to realise we had been sold a car unroadworthy and held together with fibre glass patches. Bolts missing clamps missing and the rust had been painted over. Buyer beware. Please watch out for yourself. There are numerous reviews online of similar people - do you’re research and don’t end up £1000’s out of pocket.

I recently acquired an MGA (from a specialist MG dealership). It was in generally good condition but it had the common MGA gearbox issues and there were other minor niggles that concerned me as someone who has no mechanical engineering skills. Croydon Classics replaced the gearbox with a Ford type 9 5 speed gearbox, and also the clutch, dynamo (with an alternator), starter motor and solenoid as well as rearranging the switches on the dashboard, and installing new mirrors - all to my complete satisfaction. The new gearbox has transformed the car's performance. I can thoroughly recommend this firm for MG repairs and servicing. CFB, PURLEY

James had a recon MGB 1830 engine which he installed in my MGA to replace tired and underpowered original 1600 one. Some tech issues but James was brilliant on communication and kept me informed at all times of options and costs. Really helpful and knowledgeable. Car is transformed. Delighted to recommend Croydon Classics.

J ai acheté plusieurs 1 belles MGB chez Croydon. James sympathique et réactif. Je lui ai amené 4 nouveaux clients. En tout, grâce à moi James a vendu 7 MGB. Pour me remercier il m à dit qu il me réservait une MGB 1964 pull handle dans un excellent état. La voiture est de 1964 mais pas avec les bonnes poignées l interirieur à l air de 1972 et elle a tellement de rouille que je ne peux pas rouler en France avec à cause du contrôle technique. La dernière livraison qu il a faite (4 voitures) seulement 1 était À PEU PRET bien les trois autres ne correspondaient pas du tout à ce qu il avait dit et depuis bien sur, plus de téléphone et il met mes mails à la poubelles. Je ne sais vraiment pas d où viennent tous ces avis extraordinaires mais ce monsieur n ai pas un bon professionnel à qui on peut faire confiance, il est imprévisible.
