A customer service team that promise to callback but don’t. Waiting on parts since March 2021 but no updates provided. Complained to owner and got a prompt response but has not actioned my requests. Shambolic customer service.

We will not be using Dickson's again.we bought a 13reg in August and it was a horrible experience from the first time we met Chris to trade in our old 05 fiat. Poor service and had to wait for Chris to turn up for the hand over and it was not ready we had to wait 2hours for workshop to get it ready.then problem after problem and thy wasn't able to fix.. so asked Tim for trade in but was hesitant to commit to price and delivery of a new van . Poor service.

Honest review of my dealings with this company. Elderly father owned his motorhome from new. Randomly 2 men come to his house and ask if he wishes to sell. The men claim they are tree surgeons and urgently need a van to work up north as their previous van was vandalised. My father was thinking of selling in the future and after calling me to assist in the negotiations a price was agreed. My father was happy with the price and was pleased it was going to someone who needed it. I have to say the men were polite and friendly and although persistent didn't apply any underhand pressure on my father to sell although I was there at all times to support him. A few weeks later I see the vehicle on the Dicksons of Perths website at 12k more than they paid my father with a description of the vehicle as having "1 previous lady owner". My issue here is not with the price paid as I understand everyone has to make a profit but I do have a dissatisfaction and disappointment in the way the vehicle was obtained and is currently being advertised. I gave Dicksons the opportunity to get back to me and amend the advert over 2 weeks ago but have heard nothing.

Hi there, we do not go to customers houses and buy stock. However we do buy motorhomes from traders who do, as do all dealers buy from these 'middle' men. So I think your horrible review is to be posted about the outfit you sold the motorhome to too cheaply as this was not us. I would appreciate if you could take down this review as it is completely false. Thanks Tim for responding, much appreciated. If your company had absolutely nothing to do with the purchase of the van from my father then I fully accept this review is partly unfair and I am happy to amend. Like I say I did contact you directly firstly when you had the van for sale but nobody responded. I assumed this incorrectly meant you did have something to do with the purchase. It still doesn't explain why it was advertised by you as having "one lady owner" surely if you have the registration documents you can see it only had one owner ever, a man? You also didn't amend the van advert in all the time it was for sale after I contacted you to advise you of this.? I have several screen shots on different days of the advert. If you can explain how this might have happened I will be more than happy to take this review down. Many thanks

Sold a van back to them and scammed on it!!!! Guys a k#ob tried to be civil and come to an agreement but obviously thinks hes the man we will see how that works out for him.

I recently purchased a new Auto-Sleeper Broadway from Dicksons Of Perth. Chris who I dealt with was the most helpful and knowledgeable person I have spoken to when visiting various dealers. He really helped us in the purchase of our new vehicle. We did have an issue with the control panel after our first couple of trips. This however was dealt with exceptionally quickly by Niki who sent us out a new control panel next day to our nearest dealer as we live some 5 hours away. Dicksons even paid for the fitting of the new panel. Extremely impressed overall. Would recommend to anyone looking to purchase a motorhome or campervan.

I placed a holding deposit in a Burstner 747 motor home mid September then two days later paid the full deposit intending on picking up the motor home at the beginning of October. Two days later I had Christopher Dickson of Dickson of Perth on the phone stating that he has sold the vehicle even although I had paperwork showing the full deposit being paid. I thought this was a binding contract, seems not I was abruptly told by Chris I can't sell it twice, I reminded him that I had the contract of sale to no avail end of conversation. My other half left a review accordingly but had a reply stating she was falsifying facts. I have since received an abusive review for MY COMPANY accusing Christina of being manipulative, unprofessional and telling lies. I googled his name along with the company name to find out more and there seems to be a pattern developing here. I was not going to lower myself to this sort of thing but when my wife is abused on line that draws the short straw in my book. J.B.Sampson

I have waited sometime to write this in an attempt to make it balanced. A little over 12 months ago I bought an Ace Milano motorhome from Dicksons of Perth. It was my first motorhome and as such wanted to go through a dealer, as opposed to private, for peace of mind. I had a visit to family planned down south on the day of pick-up so set off as soon as we'd completed the paperwork. I thought the van was noisey but she was a 2003 model so no spring chicken. I parked up at the in-laws in Essex for 2 nights before giving the van a once over in preparation for the journey home next day. I was more than shocked to see that part of the exhaust was snapped completely. Upon inspection, where the break was, there were multiple holes caused by corrosion. This clearly wasn't an impact issue. The time was 16:45 I called Dicksons of Perth immediately, I spoke to a salesman and explained the situation. We spoke for a number of minutes. This is relevant. He told me he needed to speak to someone else and get back to me in 10 minutes. The thing is, they close at 17:00 Ten minutes after he put the phone down, he'd be out of office and he knew this. He was aware I was in Essex with my family and needing to get home and he basically brushed me off and wen't home. I was livid. Aware of my consumer rights, I left a messaged informing them I'd be returning the van the following day for a full refund. The drive home was very noisey, after many hours on the road it became clear I wouldn't be able to make it to Perth before 5pm so drove home. I liked the motorhome, by the time I got it to Perth I'd calmed down and allowed them to do the repair rather than refund me. Incidently, they lied to me about this, I was told clearly that I wasn't able to have a refund and that I must allow them to make the repair. This is untrue if a product has been sold that isn't fit for purpose. The van itself behaved wonderfully well for the year and we put around 12k miles on it. The horn stopped working and there are a few niggles with it so before my warranty was up I again contacted Dicksons of Perth to have the work done under warranty only to be told the minor repairs required weren't covered under warranty. This would be fine if I hadn't been told "any problems at all in the first 12 months, just bring it in and we'll sort it for you" If you go to Dicksons of Perth you will be lied to. You may, as I was on the phone, be treated with complete contempt. I overpaid (as anyone buying from there does) for the product as I wanted the piece of mind that came with the warranty. Turns out that piece of mind was sales hypebole, no more. I now know a motorhome is for me and that we enjoy our trips away with the dogs. They are ideal for our lifestyle. I also know I am about to upgrade for a newer motorhome as we'll get so much use out of it. I know I will not be getting that new van from Dicksons of Perth and I hope someone reading this will also think of going elsewhere.
