Waiting to have a windscreen pipe replaced so as I was promised potential needs to check everything is working as they should even central locking
After travelling to view the vehicle they are very friendly let me test drive the car, im not a mechanic so the car seemed fine. After buying the car and getting on the motorway, all red warning lights came on and after pulling into services there was a slow leaking tyre and rear light out after i had specifically said i would only buy if the light was fixed and i trusted them and didnt double check. Took to family mechanic to be told that the radiator fan was broken, oil seals around the engine were leaking oil, ac not working and belt tensioner fitted wonky. I will receipts to prove these repairs. How can this place be AA approved ? Consumer watchdog needs to investigate this company, fake mot's. Endangering the lives of the car buyers and their families. Im not looking for a refund as i am repairing the car but you have been warned, this dodgy company must be investigated.

7 Seater car brought from these crooks and started having issues straight away. parts of the wiring looking to have been bypassed and it has broken down several times with very young children and left us out of pocket. Car is dangerous.
Brought a Vauxhall Mokka 1.4t 4x4 back in April. We took it for a test drive and thought it drove well and it was well presented and a good buy at £7300. The dealer was very polite and helped us through the process. He did inform is that he thought there was a problem with the bearing which he will get his mechanic to fix. One week later we picked up the car and paid him the full amount. From then it all went downhill when driving it home, we noticed a strong vibration over 50 mph. I called the dealer and he told me that his mechanic told him that this will settle down after a while. After 3 days, I took it back to the dealership for them to resolve. A day later they brought it back and it was still not fixed. Went to see them in person and to ask for a refund. They asked to have the car back again and I agreed to drop the car off on a specified day but on turning up at the dealership, there was nobody there and no answer on the phone. I expressed my annoyance and requested a refund. He refused and asked for the car to be looked at by his mechanic. I raised a complaint with AA Cars and they were unable to get the dealer to agree to any mediation. We decided with the help of my brother who is an experienced mechanic to buy a new prop shaft @£500 to replaced the damaged one. Taking out the old prop shaft we could see how inept the mechanic was as he basically hammered the prop shaft to try and realign it. Putting the new propshaft in made a big difference. You can see the result of this bodge job at https://www.mokkaownersclub.co.uk/threads/mokka-1-4t-4x4.9498/post-101626 I'm raising this as I believe the dealer to be not adhering to the AA Code of Conduct that he has signed up and displayed on his website.

Bought a car here last year from a friendly and helpful man and was told they had just done a service to change the oil and filters and they had checked the cambelt had been changed as it was due, and that all servicing had been done. I haven't used the car much due to the pandemic, took it in to a dealership for a health check as it is starting to play up - it turns out the engine is clogged due to the oil and filters being in for several years, as well as the cambelt is rubbing and about to break as it is well overdue its change. This will cost more than the worth of the car to fix - so I'm out of pocket by £3.5k. I'm aware buying second hand is always a gamble but being actively lied to is particularly galling.

Unhappy customer in response to Don't take at face value!
Interesting read. I bought a car from them 2 weeks ago with 'full service history and checks'. For piece of mind I took it to my reliable garage for a health check who told me the cambelt change is 4 years overdue! I'm frankly terrified of driving it until I can get the work done in a couple of weeks. If it breaks it'll be £2k. Driveright continually fobbed me off with 'wear and tear' and now no longer answer my calls. Furious😡
Amazing service, great people and great prices. Willing to negotiate. All cars in amazing condition. Highly recommend.
A first class service recieved on the purchase of my new car! i am extremely happy with it and they have been so friendly throughout the whole experience. They helped me get finance with a fantastic rate as i had a budget which i did not want to go over. I am very pleased and I highly recommend them if you are looking for great finance deals and high quality cars

The customer journey from phone to sale was smooth and very professional. I paid the deposit after the test drive and the car was ready with extras as promised in immaculate condition. Really happy with their service. I’ve already recommended them to my friends and family.

CRIMINAL. I doubt very much this review will get posted as it is not verified but funnily enough, the ‘dealers’ haven’t sent me a verified link. I purchased an old 56 plate Peugeot 407 SW, in fact I’ll post the full reg because it’s going to be up for sale again very soon… KU56GDY. Yes it’s an old car and yes it was high mileage, however, after numerous video calls and assurances regarding MOT and services and the advert stating the car drove like new I made the 4 changes train journey down from the West Midlands to purchase the car. As soon as I arrived the whole thing felt bad, it looks nothing like the website would have you believe and is shoe-horned into a cramped vehicle workshop yard. The car looked very clean on the outside but when I was handed the key that’s when it went wrong. For a start it wasn’t remote central locking as advertised, it was a key to open the doors and when I got in the parcel shelf hadn’t been replaced despite being assured over the telephone it would be. Literally an hour before my arrival the car had been passed with 12 months MOT with no advisories. The car drove fine on the test drive and after a bit of negotiation we agreed on a lower price, namely £900. Because my spidey senses were tingling I decided to pay on my credit card. I was told there was a 3% fee for this so total price £927 pounds. Drove to the nearest Petrol station and noticed a little crunch/knock coming from the left side, put it down to age and carried on back to the Midlands. Within 30 miles literally every fault code was thrown up… tyre puncture, ABS warning, faulty lights, stop immediately etc… and the knocking from the left got worse and worse. Following day I took it to a garage near me fearing the worse, they put it up on the ramp and were literally shell shocked. Both front tyres were worn on the inside to the point the cord was exposed and the left suspension was dangerously damaged. They said the error codes alone would result in a fail and whoever had done the MOT had endangered my life allowing it to pass and be driven over 100 miles back to the Midlands. Telephoned and telephoned drive right but funnily enough no answer. Emailed and emailed and funnily enough no reply, despite me putting read receipts on my messages and seeing they had been read. I called off a different number a couple of times and Lo and behold they answered but attempted to fob me off saying the manager would be in touch. Contacted trading standards, Citizens advice and also sought advice from a Solictor. In the meantime I spoke to the credit card company, advised them what was happening and they immediately did something called a chargeback, which meant I had my money back and it was down to them to challenge it. This obviously did the trick because 3 days later when the ‘manager’ Mohammed EL-BAKRY telephoned me stating he had been made aware I was unhappy. This man is clearly used to not being challenged or even called out on his borderline criminal behaviour, he tried to dismiss it as an old car, and disputing the fact the MOT was illegal. I told him to collect the vehicle as it was not roadworthy and to also refund me correctly as the chargeback does not count as a refund. It is on him to challenge that and be reimbursed accordingly. Well 10 days later after being told nearly everyday it had been done I still hadn’t received the refund. Again I’m the meantime I had had a very interesting conversation with trading standards who are well aware of this man and the company, also told me how the 3% credit card charge was illegal. Anyway, I finally received the refund yesterday (17/8/21) and at 9pm tonight I was called from a recovery agent saying they were collecting the car and it would be about 22.30 pm. Perfect when I’ve got 3 young children eh. I dread to think what would have happened if I didn’t pay on my credit card because ultimately money talks, and the card company were able to take it back from them with no real complaint. Lesson learnt! If you do have the misfortune to buy from these criminals then please pay by CC, and make sure they don’t charge 3%. As I said I doubt this review will make it through but everything I have said is true and can be proved. Good luck!
