An unprofessional company, not to be trusted in my opinion. I bought my car from Emerald Vehicle sales and whilst driving it home from the dealership it cut out. I called them up, explaining the problem of the car cutting out when it was travelling at speeds less than 10mph. They took the car back for a week and then called me up to claim they had fixed the problem. After collecting the car I noticed that it had done 450 miles on the clock and there was no fuel left in the tank, which I thought was strange. A couple of days later I received a speeding ticket. During the time they had my vehicle, it had been caught speeding at 82mph in Cambridge, 100 miles away from the dealership at 7.30pm. I called Mark, who apologised but could offer absolutely no reason why my car was in Cambridge speeding at 7.30 at night. Later on Mark called my husband apologising again and explaining that an employee had been sent in the car to collect parts in order to ‘extensively test the vehicle’. He also stated that ‘It is not company policy to abuse or take advantage of customers cars’. I only found all of this out because of the speeding ticket, who knows what else goes on that never comes to light…

Hi Jean, Thank you for taking the time to speak with me regarding this review and I appreciate you allowing me the opportunity to explain the circumstances behind the incident. I would like to address this review publicly for anyone who reads this:- Mrs Wilde reported an intermittent fault on the vehicle, meaning it would cut out occasionally. We took the vehicle back into our possession to try to fix the problem. There were no stored fault codes on the vehicle so we had to road test it in order to make the fault replicate and be able to diagnose it properly. We carried out extended road tests in the local area but were unable to detect any issues. Mrs Wilde reported it would cut out once a day and informed us that she could leave the vehicle with us for the whole week to get the issue resolved. It isn't feasible from a time or cost perspective to have a technician road test a vehicle for several hours trying to get an intermittent fault to reoccur, nor is it to start replacing parts without having an understanding of what the issue is. A poor judgement call was made from the workshop supervisor trying get to the bottom of the problem and he instructed another employee to use Mrs Wilde's vehicle to run an errand for the workshop. He hoped that the fault would replicate on the extended road test and the employee had the diagnostic equipment with him to plug in if it did. On the way back, the vehicle did cut out and we were able to investigate it. This was the only time the vehicle cut out for us. I understand why our supervisor instructed the vehicle to be used as he did not want to give it back to the customer without fixing the issue. I do not condone the driver of the vehicle speeding nor do i agree with the judgement call made by our supervisor. Both of whom were been reprimanded for their actions and neither, work for the company any longer. I totally understand Mrs Wilde's anger at the situation and I extend my apologies for the inconvenience and any upset we have caused her. Peter - Owner

Customer service is really good at Emerald Vehicle Sales until they receive money. Car was riddled with faults, some even mot failing faults. I.e. Xenon light ballasts not working, lower suspension arm snapped, just to name a few. No mot certificates were present to look at, an despite empty promises of sending me docs, never received. After eventually getting hold of previous tests, from a better garage, I can see why they withheld the docs from me. Most of the advisories were all the things that are currently wrong. An some faults weren't even picked up by the mot person. I know they said it was one of the cleanest examples the mechanic had seen!!!!! Maybe he should have put it on a ramp. Where he might of spotted snapped coil spring. Damaged strut mounts, damaged drive shafts just to name a few. The vehicle came with a supposed pre delivery report, however all the boxes that were ticked were obviously forged as one box for example says checked for any rattles or knocking noises from steering system. Also I purchased this car over another, due to the fact it was in modified. However it's got aftermarket loud exhaust and more annoyingly it has been re mapped, which immediately reduces the life of the clutch. But fair enough all these faults, at least I can use my free, 3 month warranty. On no I can't, as the dealer didn't bother to activate it. As in their own words, things had been a bit hectic. So I've had to fork out a fortune for a car that was Miss sold and deliberately had faults with held and a warranty that is useless. Good customer service is all well and good. But not if the product is defective and they Miss sell it. Avoid!!! Just to add. They did reply to my review on their website about how shocked they were to hear this an to give them a call to try an sort something out. But no calls or emails are ever returned.

I had a really good experience buying my Peugeot 107 from Emerald Vehicle Sales. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and were able to answer all of my questions. I have had the car fro a few months and I have had no issues with it, it's been grater and the car is worth every penny. I would happily recommend this dealership to my friends.

I have had my Citroen C4 for a few months now. I have had to take it back in for repairs a few times now but it seems to be fine at the moment. The car was clean and in good shape but I probably wouldn't recommend this dealership.

In July I went to Emerald Vehicle Sales and bought a Mini and I am very happy with it! It was really clean and in good condition and up to now I have only had one issue with it which they got resolved fairly quickly and easily. I would recommend this dealership.

I bought a Mercedes from here in April and everything has been very nice, the service was great, the car was clean and in very good condition and I have had no issues at all up to now.
