I just paid £13,000 on a car from them. As soon as I got the car, problems straight away with it. I have had the car a week today and I keep getting excuses why I cant ome down and drop the car off! oh I have still not had a receipt for my car or MOT cert. I am really getting frustrated and I agree trading standards need to look at this guy.

Customer got a full refund back, it took a while as customer had taken out finance. So we had to deal with the finance company. And the customer had put 6000 miles On The car.

Looking for another Subaru Outback, I found one online at First Cars Direct. Went to see it and it looked clean and shiny. Explained to the dealer that I would buy it and take it to my own garage for examination. He assured me that he would have oil and air filters changed along with oil. Took the car home and on the way the engine management light came on, cruise control failed ,and a headlight bulb was blown. My garage examined it, and listed a dozen problems, including a corroded and wet oil filter, dirty oil, brakes shot, a hole in the exhaust, 2 tyres down to indicators, worn links etc. I threatened to reject the car and First Cars agreed to carry out some repairs. I returned the car to them to have the work carried out - making clear that I would have any work not done by them carried out myself at their expense. Any dealer who puts a car out in this condition should not be allowed to deal in cars. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM FIRST CARS DIRECT!
Had a number of problems with the car I bought within the first week of buying it. Dealer just didn't want to know. Ended up costing me a lot of money to get the car sorted and the car was by no means cheap in the first place. Wouldn't advise buying from this dealer!
The car we bought was advertised with a service record of which we didn't get. Contacted the dealer who was of no help at all. Three month warranty never came through to us, so don't know whether the car was actually covered. To me the dealer was a complete rogue who doesn't deserve to be trading. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
