I have bought a swb shogun. I took it with a faulty fuel gauge, then I found an oil leak and fuel leak. They took in back to fix and had my vehicle for 2 1/2 weeks the oil leak is still on it and the fuel gauge still doesn't work. I drove it for 2 days and the front breaks fell off. They took it back and said I should pay but as I've only had it for 5 weeks they will do it. I got the vehicle back and bang the auto gear box has gone. I phone them and got told tough it's out of 3 months 1000 miles warranty. And am lucky the fixed the breaks. Am going g to see a solicitor and take them to court.

In response to the comments regarding the Defender, we would like to stress our side of the story. This customer was made fully aware of the work that was needed to be done on this vehicle before we could sell the car. This customer stated that he was a Land Rover DIY fanatic and was adamant that he wanted to purchase the car that day and he agreed that he would do the labour himself and we would as a business purchase and pay for the parts that he said was needed. We trusted him to be honest with us, as we were with him. The customer called the day after collection to tell us the parts that were required from the Land Rover main agent, which we would of payed, as we agreed to this at point of sale. However, he stated that he would prefer us to purchase a complete front axle that he had already located on the internet, as this was an easier option for him. Again he sourced and checked that this was the correct part for the vehicle. we merely just contacted his supplier and payed the invoice in full, as agreed. He then called us to say it was the wrong part, we then told him to get back in touch with the company that had supplied this part as it was himself that checked the part were correct. The customer stated that the brakes were not good. In response to this, the brakes worked perfectly as I myself had been using the vehicle for sometime with my 7 year old son in the car. The customer had removed the brakes himself when replacing the front axle!!! Also when the customer returned to Forton Motors he didn't mention any problem with the brakes or any of the other issues mentioned in this upsetting review. We have absolutely done our best and stuck to the agreement with this customer. We even allowed and helped him swap his wheels from his part exchange Land Rover to his new Land Rover!!! The customer promised Forton Motors all the paperwork & complete service history with his P/X vehicle, which we have asked for numerous times and to this day we have still not received any paperwork. Here at Forton Motors we feel very upset and let down by this customer, who we trusted, as we believe not many garages would have offered the services we provided to this customer....
