Avoid! 0 Stars! Sold us a vehicle with faulty suspension and dangerously loose steering wheel column. Bought a Landrover Discovery from these people in April. Firstly the car was dirty and didn't have a full tank of petrol. Within 10 days the suspension warning light came on. The car went into limp mode, which made the handling of the vehicle very bumpy as the car effectively had no suspension. Any minor pot hole felt like the car was going to bottom out. Returned the vehicle to Highlanders GB, they told me ‘it might need a new battery’ and also replaced the suspension relay (a part worth less than £10). Within 36 hours of being ‘repaired’ the suspension warning light came on again, car went into limp mode again. Dealer would not respond to telephone calls or emails. Got fed up waiting to hear back from them so took the car to a Landrover specialist. They told me straight away it needed a new suspension compressor. The mechanic also told me the steering wheel seemed very loose and not as responsive as it should be, so I asked them to inspect it. He found that the universal steering join was so badly worn that the car was completely unsafe to drive! They couldn’t repair it that day, so I told him I’d return later in the week BUT - he told me the car was so unsafe that I would have to leave it in their yard until it could be repaired. His words were ‘I cannot let you put your children in this car and drive away, it’s a tragedy waiting to happen.’ The ‘safety checks’ carried out by Highlanders GB upon purchase are clearly not worth the paper they’re written on!
