June 2024 my brother, with my assistance, purchased a Peugeot 2008 2018 model, with high mileage, from this company. Cargurus quoted the price as 'Good'. So we put a deposit on the car and drove up to see it. The car looked fine on the forecourt, but there was so little fuel in it a test drive was out of the question. The salesman, 'Jack', told us the previous owner had only sold it because the family dog had died in the boot, and they could no longer bare to travel in it. My brother decided that he liked the car and would buy it, so after handing over the money he then had to drive to the fuel station, next door to fill up. The drive home for him was noisy due to front suspension rattle, picked up on the MOT in April. 4 weeks later the engine failed, the oil pressure pump seized and broke up. The garage we took it to for repair said that the sump had been removed recently and the oil pick-up had been cleaned. I contacted Jack and he said the oil pump would just need to be replaced, an easy job, however the oil pump housing had shattered spreading shrapnel throughout the engine, so I had to source a replacement engine. The repairs to engine, clutch, front shocks and exhaust cost approx £3000, Jack had always said that they would contribute to the repairs,of which I asked for £500, he requested copies of the invoices be sent to him along with my bank details. That was back in September, I have been contacting Jack since then and every time an excuse was given to why they hadn't paid. The last excuse was that he did not control the finances and that he had contact the person who did and couldn't understand why payment had not been made, so I asked for the name and contact number for the person in charge of finances, this he refused to give me, quoting data protection. I'm still waiting for my money, but don't believe I will see it at all. Think long and hard before you purchase a vehicle from this dealership.

Bought a jaguar xf on finance which I sorted myself I paid seven grand it took two weeks to get the car due to electrical problems I took the car home the parking sensors don’t work there’s an annoying rattling from drivers door and less than a month there’s a grinding noise from the passenger side I thought it was brakes so paid £100 for a front pad change but hasn’t rectified the issue I have contacted jack by text and also emailed with no response the company seems professional but I can’t comment till my issues are resolved 3 months warranty on every car ?

I have a 2015 ford ranger for sale, Craig who was a friend of mine for over 10 years, who works there, offered to sell the ranger on my behalf, even came to collect it, I thought I had landed on good help here, then after collecting the car, I was told that they could only return me £3000 less than we had agreed before they took possession of it, they asked me to send them the logbook, I sent photo's of it, but that wasn't good enough, they said they needed it for finance arrangements with customers, I told them they would just have to forward the the photo's of the logbook via email or an application form online and that would be acceptable, they then told me as I wouldn't send the logbook they didn't want to sell it on my behalf anymore, Jack the owner got quite nasty and was rather pathetic in the end, I had to get a recovery spealist to get the car back at my cost... It cost me over £300 to get my OWN vehicle back from them!! Including costs they charged me for thst I didn't agree too!! I will be speaking to the ombudsman AND trading standards about this, disgusting unprofessional behaviour, I have run my own business and I wouldn't have lasted the 17 years I did by treating customers the way Jack and his company do, STAY WELL CLEAR, you have been warned!!!

Hi Jason thank for your review Just a shame that you did not quiet tell the full truth of the story. You had arranged with Craig that we would sell your vehicle on your behalf. When we have a cars on Sale And Return they come full serviced and mot and with the relevant documents before we are willing to sell the car. Your car was never put up for sale because we didn't had the right documents of your vehicle. As regarding the price of your car we told you from the beginning what your car is worth and what the car can be potentially be sold for and what the return would be and you quiet where happy with that. After you and Craig had number of txt messages going on i (Jack) had to step in and told you to come and collect your car because I was not willing to have your car on Sale And Return because of the missing documents. ( I can not just send photos of logbooks to finance companies) There was nothing nasty about it all, The only thing was you where disappointed that we didn't want to sell your car. The cost where as follows fuel because your car was empty when we collected it valet and new number plates total cost £105. As regarding professionalism you running your own company you know is was well its my right to refuse to sell your car because of the missing documents and charge you for the cost I incurred till so far i do hope that you sell your car and wish you all the best kind regards jack

We purchased our daughters first car (Fiat 500) from Jack, fantastic service, he made sure everything was sorted and nothing was too bother. He’s such funny chap and puts you at ease - great little run about for a first car - highly recommend and would definitely purchase again

We made a really long journey down to pick up a car that we had reserved after seeing photos and having an online WhatsApp. It was agreed previously that 2 new tyres would be put on but this had not been done! Also there was damage on the car which had not been pointed out to us, in particular the exhaust. Dealer was not really interested in the sale when we pointed these things out and didn’t agree that work needed to be done on the car. He refunded our deposit but we wasted the whole day!!.

I purchased a car from Hillfield Motor Company and I must say Jack was really helpful, we had a smooth transaction from choosing the car to collecting and taking home. Found a problem with a wheel bearing which was quickly resolved by Jack who had me drop the car the next day and booked in for repair, we collect the car on Friday. Very friendly and professional business, cannot fault our experience.

My daughter brought her Fiat 500 from here a few weeks ago. Jack was very friendly and funny. He made her take it on a test drive, and think long about whether it was right for her, as it was a lot of money she was spending. He included the premium warranty, which gives me peace of mind as she is young and it's her first car. The documents never arrived, so I contacted them, and they emailed them over. For us personally I highly recommend them. Car was probably a little over priced, but not by much, and if you include warranty, it's about right. Oh and he put a new battery in for her. Thanks very much. She loves her new car.

Came to look around the forecourt after being recommended by my mom who had previously bought a car from Jack a few years ago. Phoned and arranged a test drive for the following day after spotting a car we were interested in. Jack was very friendly and went over all the details of the car with us before we left to sleep on the decision. Absolutely no pressure from Jack to buy the car. We returned a few days later ready to purchase and part ex our old car. Car was then sent off for its MOT and came back with an advisory on 2 tyres which he had replaced for us. There was some minor repair work to be done on one of the wing mirrors which Jack arranged to be fixed and he even came out to collect the car from me at my workplace and returned it afterwards. Overall, great customer service and a very friendly face who puts you at ease
