Bought a few car from Hillfield Motor Company and yes there are two companies trading from the same forecourt which can be confusing . I have dealt with Hillfield Motor Company ltd for several years and had always a great service of them

Bought a Skoda from jack at Hillfield Motor Company and started having problems after 3 weeks (oil consumption) took it back to have it repaired 3 times the 2nd time it was there for 5 weeks and still not fixed,then took it too an independent garage who advised to take it back and get my money back,but buying it on finance got pushed from pillar to post between the dealer and finance company who blamed each other won’t be buying another vehicle from this bloke, some free advice if you are tempted to buy from him be aware!!!! When returning my car I lost nearly £1000 that I paid to the finance company who charged me 25p per mile. Not taking into account the £100 I spent on oil in 6 months kiss that good bye too. After reading other reviews All the bad ones can’t be wrong.

Purchased a car and collected later that week. The tyres had been changed to bold ones but I was given a 12 months MOT from them too. Car soon also had engine problems. very rude - AVOID

Almost 2 years on my experience with buying a total lemon off Ken still leaves a nasty taste in my mouth, as a family man struggling with his bills our old car broke down beyond economic repair 4 weeks before Christmas 2015, found a replacement on Autotrader at Hillfield, I remember distinctively how the nice mild mannered cant do enough sales pitch went stone cold once money had changed hands. Car lasted less than 396 miles before total engine self destruct whilst my wife was driving with our two children on board.. I made the mistake of investigating the problem myself giving them the perfect excuse to waver all responsibility and simply were not interested in offering me any kind of recompense. Cut a long story short a qualified mechanic diagnosed the problem which would of been a known fault at time of sale and advised me to take legal action. In the end I got fed up & sold it for £100 spares or repairs. There is much defence on the other poor reviews involving Ken that he is HMC Cars & Vans & not HillField Motor Company. They operate from the same premises therefore the public persona suggests its the same company, It would appear i'm not the only mug to of been sucked in by this. Every time I drive past this dealership I feel nothing but utter contempt. STAY AWAY

I have had my car from Hillfield Motor Company for just over a year and had none stop problems with it. My first MOT my suspension springs fell in 4 pieces and they passed it. Also all the stereo was cracked behind. Also my parents had a car that was un road worthy. They also sold my a warrenty that means bugger all. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HILLFIELD MOTORS !!!!

Shocking. Sold us a car with bold tyres. Kept telling us they would get back to us about payment once it had been authorised, safe to say we never heard back off them, not a great surprise. Secondly we told him the air conditioning wasn't working. He asked us to call back to book it in, every time we rang apparently there are two companies there that are not linked and we couldn't get through to the correct one. Furthermore, just 4 months later I had to pay 600 pounds, apparently the suspension coil was broken and had been for some time, the steering rack had been fitted incorrectly and was unsafe, the hand brake was non existent. So add together, 600 plus 180 for tyres and wait for it.....950 for air conditioning fix, thats1730 pounds within 6 months of buying a car for 4K. And no replies and constant excuses. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

My car from Hillfield Motor Company wasn't road worthy and was inspected by the AA and RAC and both have confirmed this. after my car was "fixed" my brakes failed on me while driving on the motorway 2 days after they had done work to it. Don't go anywhere near this company.
