My friend and I went to check out Vauxhall Corsa at JGM that she liked. We have inspected car, and my friend really liked it and she told me that she is thinking about buying it today but she wasn't too sure about it. We took test drive, JGM guy was driving first half, but during second part of test drive this guy just changed, he became rude and aggressive, car was ok though. After we drove back to farm, he told her that she needs to pay deposit money now because he stayed late for her( it was around 18:30 and he lives in there:D) After she refused to pay deposit money and wanted to think overnight. He told her to leave his premises and never come back. After reading comments I can sleep better it was not because of my nationality it was because he is rude, arrogant, aggressive individual.

Staff from JGM Motors Ltd in response to shocking

The above people who call themselves "customers" were nothing of the sort,in fact they were timewasters/tyrekickers etc who had no intention of purchasing the Vauxhall Corsa, rather just looking at it/driving it/asking every question under the sun(I answered every question courteously) about it and wasting my time(45 mins after closing hours). So as there is free speech I informed them that they had in fact wasted my time completely and I asked them to leave my property and to not come back for being in the top 5 category for worst timewasters I had have had the unfortunate luck to stumble across.Good luck to the next garage these guys go into.

P.S This particular was sold 24 hours later to the next CUSTOMER who was delighted with the car and was a joy to deal with(and it only took 15 minutes)!

I arrived at JGM to look at a Jaguar advertised as with warranty. The guy who I met was rude as it was raining and couldnt be bothered to even try and sell me the car. He just said there is no warranty and no movement in the price. When I mentioned the advert he just said it was a generic advert! Surely this is false advertising!!

Staff from JGM Motors Ltd in response to Rude

This particular man came to have a look at a Jaguar S-type unannounced(no problem there),at half 5 on a Friday evening. The weather that night was awful(torrential rain).I came out to meet the man, quickly showed him the car,I asked him if he had any others to view he said "yes 10 more including 4 in yorkshire tomorrow aswell as some MG F'S". I told him politely in the pouring rain to go and look at those vehicle first and if you are still interested in ours you are welcome to come back. I cant see what I have done wrong there apart from save myself from getting soaked for no reason on a Friday night at 5.30pm(closing time). I feel that replying to these comments at least gives this petty review a sensible and honest reply.

I am totally disgusted with this so called car company sold my daughter a car that had so many problems with it but was so happy to take her money the car has broken down so many times and he is not willing to fix it you should be ashamed of yourself my daughter has children she needs to get to school believe me this is going further and you wont like me when im angry

Unhappy_customer in response to Rude

By law you can claim compensation for repairs up to six years of owning the car, from the date of purchase from JGM Motors/JGM Car Sales. I suggest you pursue this and get what you and your daughter are owed.

Bought a car from JGM a couple of months ago and man do I wish we checked the already shocking reviews on here first. The car itself was in relatively good condition, however that is the only positive about this experience. The sale was agreed under the terms that JGM would have a fresh MOT put on the car, an oil and filter service would be carried out and the missing aerial would be replaced. When I arrived to pick the car up, I was given an MOT certicate. I enquired about a receipt for the service but was told that they would look into it. I was also told that the aerial was on order and would be fitted at a later date. When getting into the car noticed a warning light on the dashboard indicating that a sidelight bulb was out and I was able to confirm. Instead of going back in for such a minor issue, I instead drove home as it was late. When I arrived home we noticed a wiper blade was torn and that the primary key didn't turn the car over. The fact that a bulb was out and wiper blade was torn gave me serious doubt to the validity of the MOT that was allegedly carried out, as either one would normally cause an MOT to fail. I emailed JGM about the issues we'd noticed as we were supposedly given a 30 day warranty. No reply. I sent a few texts to the mobile number that was shown on their website enquiring about those issues. No reply. A few days later I phoned JGM to enquire about the issues. Gary, the man who sold us the car, answered and immediately seemed to take exception when I brought up my concern about the validity of the MOT certificate and a heated argument soon ensued. He was condescending and extremely rude, he talked over me but demanded I let him finish when I returned the favour. He even had the audacity to demand that I stopped texting his personal number, that he allegedly gave me out of good faith - but it was clearly visible on their website. I later went online to check the MOT certificate and it appears that the car had failed its MOT due to a sidelight bulb being out, and it was still out, as well as a registration plate lamp being out, which I then confirmed to be the case. The car had then been subsequently passed without those issues being fixed which confirmed my suspicion of a dodgy MOT. I later phoned the garage that did the MOT and enquired about what they'd been asked to do on the car and they said that they had only done an MOT. They explained that they do a lot of MOTs for JGM so the logical conclusion I draw is that they're in cahoots with one another and they put vehicles that are not roadworthy back on the road on behalf of JGM. We then had the car checked by an independent local garage and luckily they found no major issues, although there was virtually no oil in the tank, which they topped up. So that means that JGM didn't bother with the oil and filter service we had agreed upon either. I later emailed JGM again detailing the issues we'd had with the car and requested reimbursement for the costs we had incurred. I received no response from JGM but instead a response from Legal Solutions 4u, a legal firm that JGM must have on retainer. As you can imagine the email I received, which was full of Legalese, no doubt intended to confuse and intimidate, basically said that I had no legal grounds to seek reimbursement from JGM and requested that I no longer contact their client. I responded to that email twice over the following month and received no response. I finally received a response over a month later when I emailed for a third time explaining that I intend to report JGM to Trading Standards (which I have done) and leave the review you're currently reading. To echo the title of another review left about JGM, avoid like the plague. P.S. I'm still waiting for this aerial...

JGM from JGM Motors Ltd in response to Don't risk it

As far as I can gather from this lengthy and rehearsed script, the only issue with his girlfriends car was a split wiper rubber and a sidelight bulb out.He did inform us that his own garage had fitted these parts to the cost of roughly £5.00 and that his own garage did confirm subsequently that the car was in good working order with no MOT advisories or fails. The problem was therefore rectified. He insisted to text after hours so I asked him politely to stop. He informed us that he had sorted his own replacement aerial( which did not affect the radio whatsoever-this was confirmed on the signed PDI inspection). This vehicle was checked for oil and found to be adequate(the customer was not charge for a service). Some customers(the extreme minority) cannot be kept happy and are not at all reasonable-so a polite, professional letter from our legal representatives outlined the situation and put them on the right track. I expect the Ford Ka his girlfriend purchased will give her good service.

We came back to JGM as our experience first time around was perfect, and this time around we had a slight problem with the car but this was rectified and repaired very quickly. Car runs like a dream, we could not be happier. Totally recommend this dealership for great cars and after sales service.

1/ £ 200 deposit( not £100 ) paid, 2/ Balance paid in cash within 24 hours as bank transfer not possible and told deposit would be lost if balance not paid next day! (not five days ) 3/Told on two occasions within five minutes vehicle had two owners , call me naive but when someone tells you this you do not expect that to be deliberate and intended lie. Anyone who lies about all these three things plus the tyres is not someone to do business with.

JGM from JGM Motors Ltd in response to Seat Leon

You told us you would complete the bank transfer on the same day as the bank transfer deposit was paid, after various phone calls you then wanted the car delivering to a car park 15 miles away, to be paid cash when we got there,JGM would not do this due to it being against company policy due to the car not being paid for,you then said you would come and collect the car after you were informed the deposit would not hold the car for more than 5 days. This situation only arose after you did not settle the invoice in the manner as promised. You then came and paid the balance and picked the vehicle up in weather conditions that JGM certainly had no control over.We would have no reason to say the car has two owners at all as all of our autotrader adverts clearly state how many owners the car has,and it certainly was never two owners. The notion that the tyres were swapped is a total lie.We advise you to retract these statements immediately as our legal team have been contacted.

Worst customer service ever encountered, Attitude very bad Told my son he must drive over in worst snow storms of recent years to pick up the car or lose deposit (paid only 1 day earlier) various car problems ,Tyres were swapped for poorer quality different brand ones between deposit and my son picking up the car. Told on two occasions car had only two previous owners V5 now states 5! Abusive and non cooperative on phone and refused refund Avoid at all costs. Now sending solicitor letter to request refund and if not court proceedings.

JGM from JGM Motors Ltd in response to Purchase of Seat leon

In response to this post, the customer was not told he would lose his deposit after 1 day at all, just that a £100 deposit would not hold the car for anymore than 5 days and was asked to pay for the car in full ASAP to complete the deal as the invoice was signed. The customer told us that the car would be paid for by bank transfer in 2 hours, which did not happen and turned into 3 days. The statement of the cars tyre's being swapped is totally false as is the customer saying that the car had 2 owners, the customer was given all of the paperwork in the office to look through before any deposit was taken. The customer was refused refund on these grounds as they have no merit at all. When the car was collected the customers were very happy with the service, condition of the car and had test driven the vehicle and gone over all paperwork.

I would like to warn everyone about JGM motors, coalfield farm, Littleton, Co. Durham. I purchased a Honda cr-v from them for £2500 on 23rd February this year and picked up on the 25th. The car was sold to me with a "new" MOT and a 6 month warranty. Previous to purchasing the car, I was allowed a very small test drive of around a mile, but the car seemed fine and was exactly what I was looking for, so went ahead with the purchase assured that the car would be inspected, mot'd and warranted. On my way home I noticed that there was a intermittent issue with the gears and clutch not releasing. Managed to get home, and also the airbag light was on. On the one day after got the car the brakes were making a loud grinding sound I rang JGM and they advise that this is what the warranty is for, so I took it to a local garage. They took one look at the warranty and and the car and wouldn't touch it. I took the car back to JGM and asked them to sort the issues. The brakes got sorted but The owners son too it for a 5 minute test drive and said nothing was wrong with the clutch. At this point I said there was an issue and asked for a refund which is a statutory right within 30 days if the car is not fit for purpose. I was refused. I went home and phoned the warranty company and they said that the policy hadn't activated yet so had to wait. On 9th March a letter was recieved from the warranty company stating that due to jgm not settling their bill, the policy was cancelled. I rang jgm and they stated that they would cover the warenty. But still claimed there was no no issue with the clutch. I was stuck with it. On 23 of mach trailing to south shields from Ferryhill I lost all power to the car, turns out the alternate had gone. Next day I was back on the phone jgm. They said the would collect the car and sort it out. 2 days later I got a call saying car was ready but would cost me £330. After arguing with them, having the owner patronise me and having a refund request again refused, I had no choice but to pay up. The clutch/gear issue still remains. Loosing all faith in the car, it was booked into a local independent garage for inspection. I took this to jgm with the quote of nearly £1100 to make the car legal. Jgm dismissed this and still claimed there was nothing wrong with it bur said they would re mot it. Got the car back nearly a week later and the issues still remained. At this point, and as I'd thankfuly paid on credit card, I made a claim to the card company under section 75a of the consumer credit act. Faced with the evidence I provided, the card company reimbursed the cost of the car and as well as out of pocket expense.. Had I paid for it cash then I would have been lumbered to with it.

Staff from JGM Motors Ltd in response to Disgraceful

In response to the above review, the Honda CRV purchased by the customer was 12 years old with well over 100,000 miles on the clock. The test drive procedure is standard distance to every potential customer and is more than satisfactoryThe car was MOT'd by a garage that we no longer use and there was an issue with a rear brake disc that was quickly rectified by JGM Motors Ltd in a timely fashion at no expense to the customer. The customer informed us of his breakdown a month after purchasing the vehicle, the breakdown was due to the original,12 year old factory fitted alternator failing,no warranty would cover this claim as the part was worn out after 12 years of service. When we informed the customer of this and of the amount owed for a new alternator fitted we received a aggressive and verbally abusive response,we did not speak to the customer in a patronising manner we merely stated the facts of the situation. The issue with the clutch and gear selection could not be detected by JGM Motors on numerous test drives with the owner present, nor could multiple garages get the vehicle to fault,so no action could be taken to rectify an issue we or professional garages could not find. The car was mot'd again to national standard at an independent garage and passed.
