Best car garage i have ever been to, the office is a nice clean building and really inviting. I looked over all of the cars they had in stock as i was not sure what i really wanted but needed something bigger. All of the cars i asked about had great service history and were really clean . I finally settled on a car which they are very helpful and spent lots of time with me. The finance company they used gave me a great deal and were very quick and i was able to pick the car up the following day after moto tom had complected and full PDI and service along with a fresh MOT. They have been amazing and have been back since with my father in-law and he has also brought a car aswel. Will be back when i fancy a change.

I bought a van from Mototom two weeks ago. I have had fumes coming into the cab from the time I drove it away. This has caused me to become very drowsy at the wheel. This problem turns out to be faulty fuel injectors.I put a tank full of diesel in and this spilled out all over the garage forecourt - thank goodness it wasn’t petrol as their could have been an explosion. The fuel filter was held on by a cable tidy. AA were called out and they temporarily fixed the problem. Bracket threads non- existent. No boot cover on starter motor live connector. M.O.T. did not advise on problems which I have now found due to taking van to local garage to be fixed. Lies from the office representatives from start to finish. The warranty given is not worth the paper it is written on. Now left with a £3000 bill to fix all problems that are wrong with the vehicle. Be very aware when buying from here - get AA/RAC to check vehicle over before handing over any money. This case is on going and will update further as we progress.

Mototom representative Reply to anonymous review This gentleman came to us to buy a 100,000 mile Jaguar XF As part of the deal we serviced and mot the car to which we use third party garages The customer had stated from the start of his desk with us that he is awaiting his delivery of a new Tesla and this will only be a stop gap We agreed £300 discount due to the tyres not being a top brand and only being a budget tyre however passing a mot The first problem the customer had we arrange for him to have the wheel balancing carried out free of charge This unfortunately did not solve the problem and we had to get the car back to the garage and found out the budget new tyres that where fitted where out of shape to which we agreed to change for him again free of charge The next problem was a immobiliser fault to which we changed the key battery again free of charge and there where no faults present ( this car had keyless entry and requires a working key battery ) Within the next few weeks the customer rang and said the coolant was leaking to which we said saves you coming over to us again please get the car diagnosed to which the customer did and we agreed to pay the charge for this again The garage sent us a invoice to say there was a coolant leak but they didn’t know where from. At this point we offered the customer a full refund to which he stated to one of our staff funny enough his Tesla was ready and we offered him a refund. With in this period we always kept in contact and tried to resolve any issue and in the end gave the customer a full refund It’s a shame the out of the 40-50 cars and vans we sell in and around every month that we only the bad experience get the time to be documented. 1 bad review a month means there was 49 potentially very happy customers

I have recently bought an 11 plate focus which had a few minor issues like most cars, these were noted, dealt with swiftly and i have had no problems since, i absolutely love the car and would highly recommend these guys to everyone, thanks very much guys!

Avoid at all costs Bought a van from them 3 weeks ago and i have had nothing but problems with it. Only had the van 3 days after buying it then it went back to them for a leak above the windscreen and issues with it starting. They had it for over a week but the day i got it back after being told both issues were sorted it was back down there as the leak was still happening. Another 4 days they had the van to what can only be described as a bodge job to stop the leak, local body shop i took it to today said its the worst repair hes ever seen. Now having issues with the van starting again. Considering legal action as they have told me they will not issue a refund. Avoid this company at all cost!

Hi To answer the questions on this complaint we have seen this different, the vehicle was a category repaired vehicle which you knew at point of sale and as we didn’t repair this you and your friend looked around the van and with us come to the agreement it had roof damage, you was happy with this and bought this van you came back with a small leak which you said was the windscreen, which we got looked at and re sealed, then you again had this same issues which when we looked at and diagnosed we resolved this as this was the roof which was a small crack, you told us to hold onto the van for nearly a week as you already hired a van the van was ready after 48hrs, you did tell us about it cutting out which we used the van for over 50 miles and no fault was there and we had This read on a diagnostic machine which found 0 faults. we never had a report on a starting issue, we have tried to call you however we believe you have blocked us. Please call us to discuss the starting issue

I was aware the vehicle had been in an accident and the roof had been damaged but as per your advert it had been fully repaired. We looked at it and was satified with the repwir but obviously we didnt water test it at the poibt of insoection. When i brought the vehicle down to you the first time i told you it was leaking by the windscreen its not my job to determine where its leaking from. I also told you i had problems with it not starting you said that was down to a loose connection and had been sorted. I now know it is due to the battery not bring the correct size for the vehicle! When i brought the vehicle back down for the second time that was on a thursday the vehicle wasnt ready until the following Wednesday morning, how is that 48 hours?? You number has not been blocked so i dont know why you are claiming that.

Brought a lovely S class from these chaps. The was immaculate. Dealt with a chap called Chris who has great knowledge and made the process easy. Came with 12 months MOT and 6 Months warranty.

Brought a car a few months ago. Nissan 63 plate so not very old at all, considering my old car was 13 plate and never had any issues with over the 5 years of having it. As the weeks have gone by, I have found a few issues. First being my Air con, stopped working after having the car 2 days, second being the car was struggling to start in the mornings, to the point it was taking me up to 5 minutes to start, third the steering wheel making squeaky and weird noises when i turn it, and lastly the radio has never been able to tune into any stations. We managed to find Heart but is always crackly. We rang the warranty company, which were a load of rubbish. Very unhelpful. Didn't want to take liability for the cost and stated to use that the warranty doesn't fully cover us. We had the battery replaced finally by the garage themselves after many phone calls and having to travel a 3 hour round trip, who then explains they did this out the "kindness of there hearts" not the fact they had sold me a car several months ago that had a rubbish battery. They have now also told me they are not liable for the radio and to just basically ignore the fact i can't listen to it. They told me to get a diagnostic done through Nissan themselves and they will cover £50 for the test, the test that costs £70 alone let alone what the actual repairs will be because again they aren't liable for the radio. Rubbish! Or they suggested i could go and buy a booster from Halfords and sit that on my dashboard. Overall the experience with MotoTom is absolutely appalling. Every staff member i have spoken to in there who quote "the bosses" are very unprofessional. Stay clear if i'm honest. Will not be returning!

I would like to take the time to respond to this review as it’s not clear on exactly how us at mototom have dealt with the problems that have appeared on this customers 9 year old Nissan Qashqai. Firstly yes we agree the air con was not gassed and not cold enough for the customer to which we advised please go to a local garage and get re gassed and send us the bill and we will happily cover the cost, to which we did. The customer started the car every day since purchase until the cold weather started to which does have an effect on car batteries. We agreed again our warranty would cover £50 towards the batter to which the battery quoted by the customer was £55. We stated it would cost approx £20 to have the battery fitted to which we was happy to cover again the cost. Customer was not happy to cover cost and would drive to us to have fitted which we did. The STERIO problem did happen and we struggled to work out what was wrong as the radio works perfectly on heart fm, CD player works, Bluetooth audio works, Sat NAV works, we advised to speak to warranty company to which said please book in with Nissan main dealer as could be a Ariel problem. Warranty company cover £50 Diagnostic and Nissan quoted £72 this we said the customer was liable for to which we was verbally abused over the phone and spoken to very rudely. We would Like to state in this review that we have done everything possible to help This customer and currently left it as it’s planned to be booked into Nissan and we would cover the cost of the repair. A very unfair and un true review that happens to not state the things we have done to help and the items we have covered.
