The service from Phantom was awesome. I have no complaints whatsoever. Everything was explained to me plainly and simply. When you go to buy a car, there can be a certain element of anxiety, worrying that a dealership will take advantage of you when you do not have the knowledge that others do. I did not feel like this at all with Phantom, and this is the reason I give them 5 out of 5.

He did not use any hard sales tactics while buying my car from him, and his knowledge about the cars he was selling was unbelievable. I was looking to buy a new car when I came across a BMW for sale with Phantom Motor Company on eBay. I gave them a call to arrange to view the car in person. When I got to the dealership, I was introduced to one of their sales reps, Alistair. He allowed me to take my time exploring the car and to take it out for a good test drive. I was very happy with how the car performed and handled, so I went back to the dealership to sign all of the paperwork. At no point did Alistair try to sell me anything I did not want, and the turnaround was done quickly so I was able to drive away in my BMW. I would not hesitate to recommending this dealer to anyone looking for a new car.

11 days on from writing to the Director Mr Hibbert. I have still not heard back from him, nor have any further progress on getting my car fixed. The car has been with them since the 5th April. They are not honoring their Warranty because 'it's getting a bit expensive to repair'. Louise in the Asftersales has not once callede back when she said she would. Their courtesy car is unroadworthy. It will Not be long before I have to go collect my car and repair myself and take them to small Claims court

From the first point of contact with Phantom Motors, I was met with nothing but patience and understanding by Alistair. As a customer exploring finance options, I was initially overwhelmed by the monthly payments. However, he was incredibly accommodating when I changed my mind and decided to pay with cash instead. Also, when I mentioned that I was due for an operation, he quickly turned the car around for me which I really appreciated. I bought a Mercedes GLA 250 less than a month ago and the car has been back twice for engine coolant issues. The same day I bought the car I had to replace the wipers as they were worn and literally scratching the windscreen. Halfords were shocked the car had even passed the MOT, I complained and I was refunded the £40 by Phantom. I set off for my journey to London from Manchester (currently trying to arrange my mother’s funeral which I need to be in London for) the engine management light comes on. I call the dealership and I am given the option to take the car back to them or to a local garage. I took it to Mercedes themselves and with a bit of effort I manage to have the £150 diagnostic fee reimbursed to me. Mercedes advised the car needs multiple sensors: coolant temp sensor, thermostat, switchover valve and to NOT take the car to London because it might be at risk of the engine overheating. The car goes back to Phantom for repair with no courtesy car provided and is delivered back to me. I make a second attempt to drive to London, a warning message stating coolant level is too low comes on. A quick inspection reveals the coolant tank is full, very strange. The next day the coolant tank is empty so I fill it up and take it for a 20 minute drive, within a few minutes the warning comes on again stating the coolant level is low. I get home and again the coolant tank is empty, I fill it up again and repeat this cycle multiple times. The car drank 4 litres of coolant in roughly 3 days. I sent a video to Phantom showing the steam/smoke coming from the engine and I am asked to drive the car to them. I decline as I would be putting myself and other road users at risk. At this point I reject the car but Phantom insist they must inspect it first. They collect it, repair it and try to force me to keep it. I was given different versions of what was wrong with it e.g. a sensor was changed, then it was a defective pipe and then it was a clip which was replaced. Myself and the car finance company have repeatedly asked for evidence in the form of receipts etc to verify what work has been carried out and Phantom will not provide this. I asked for the second repair to be carried out by a Mercedes specialist as the first repair has caused further problems but this was refused. The other faults picked up by Mercedes have not even been addressed by Phantom and simply ignored. After a failed repair around the engine coolant system, I have exercised my right to reject the car within the first 30 days and Phantom are currently refusing this. The finance company have also asked if they would consider buying the car back and they have not responded to this. Throughout all of this I have been unable to travel to London with my 3 dogs to meet with the funeral directors regarding the arrangement of my mother’s funeral. The attitude from Phantom has been poor and no compensation has been offered for the inconvenience caused. If your car goes wrong it is an uphill battle with this garage. They charge extortionate admin fees if you DO NOT use their panel of lenders for car finance, they tried to charge me an additional £500 to make up for the commission they lost because I didn’t use one of their lenders. If anyone is struggling with this dealership, then please get your finance company involved as soon as possible and also report Phantom to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA 0800 111 676). Also if they refuse log a complaint then contact the Financial Ombudsman Service directly 0800 023 4567 to rectify this. Update: Phantom are currently being obstructive and not responding to DEKRA who are trying to arrange an independent inspection of the vehicle which is in their garage. Still refusing to send through receipts for the parts they apparently ordered as part of the multiple repairs required for the engine coolant issue. Last resort was to instruct a solicitor today to commence legal action to assist with rejecting this vehicle. Still asking me to pay money towards a car I do not want!

Very unhappy on second purchase from phantom sales team great aftercare almost none existant gone in for jobs to be done come out with same fault as it went in with taken it back today again with all the same faults only had the car since march
