Purchased a VW golf from reeds motors over a year ago now, it’s almost 10 years old but honestly I haven’t had a single issue. Happy with my purchase and happy with reeds motors, lovely chaps!

Fantastic garage. No hassles. Everything was as described

Had to go to small claims court after brakes failed two days after collection, then broke down and was deemed dangerous by a main dealer inspection. We had the car for 19 days. Took a year to get money back and cost a lot in court fees. They don’t inspect the cars before sale.

Recently bought a lovely vehicle from this dealership and it all went smoothly. When I called to arrange a time to collect they were very friendly from the get go. When I arrived they were really helpful and had the car all ready for me to go, didn't make me feel uncomfortable in any way and did not try to push anything more to buy. I would definitely recommend these to a friend.

The manager and everyone at Reeds Motors seemed nice at first, but honestly, as soon as anything goes wrong, they go into full rogue trader mode. The car I bought (38000 miles, 9 years old, £4500) had an engine fault which rendered the car undrivable from day one. Within 2 weeks this fault repeated and caused me to break down on the M25. When I tried to reject the car - as was my consumer rights - the formerly nice manager became hostile and refused to honor this flat out. They tried to scare me out of pursuing it, and the only option they wanted me to see was taking it to their friends garage. To add to this, they lied outright about the car being legal to drive for 2 weeks. It was missing an indicator repeater which the RAC informed me was ILLEGAL. The manager had outright told me that it was legal because "some cars don't even have it" - pointing to a car which the repeater wasn't on the mirror. I ended up chargebacking. Avoid them. Premium price for literal auction scrap cars.

I was very surprised to see the negative comments about Reeds Motors below. My Wife and I have dealt with them on both occasions found them to be genuine and professional in a relaxed way - no high pressure and no super slick sales technique. I recommend them to a work colleague who was suitably looked after (I am trying to get him to add something here). I live in the same Village and in an area like ours word soon gets around if there are Sharks or unscrupulous business folk about and I've not heard a bad word against them. I don't doubt that something has gone wrong with the transactions of the complainers - all I can say is I have been very happy as is my wife.
