Bought a car this company. having bought several cars for my self and the family there previously. When I wanted to trade it in against another car (elsewhere) I found out that it had an HP "marker" on the car for a mileage dicrepency which pre-dated the sale date so it should never have been sold to me or they should have disclosed that fact. If they had of done I would never have bought the car. As a result I was unable to trade the car. having contacted them I was treated apallingly by the new sales manager and as a result i lost the new car and £'s on the car I had purchased. Beware - check all apperwork & MOT & HP history before buying anything from this company.

I bought a car from these guys a few years ago and reading the reviews and experiences other people have had I feel it necessary to leave my experience. So the car I bought firstly was on the forecourt had rust on the roof which agreed it would be sorted, so far so good until day of collection where the roof had been sorted but different shade of blue, agreed it would be rectified so off it went to get done, o collection day 2nd time the colour was a match but a very poor finish and masking li e not blended in, at this point I took the car and agreed the respray would be fixed again at a later date drivng down the road the car was pulling all over the place so went back and they had to do the tracking, I then took the car to my trusted mechanics to go over and check the vehicle as it just had a mot. Oh dear 5 advisories and 2 mot failures found and they had just mot the car. Next day went back highlighted the issues and arguing started being told its a bias inspection and they won't do the works, so advised I would get vosa involved then they agreed to do the work. Got car back all sorted including the respray. 3 months later rust came back so the car went back to get the roof done for the forth time, got the car back all good. The repair on the roof lasted 2 years and the rust started bubbling through again so it was time to say good bye to the car. Due to my experience and lack of care and attention I'd never buy a car from here again big shame
I stupidly trusted Richard (the owner) as I was connected to the family. I took my car to him to buy and resell. All was agreed previously. He transferred me half and said he’d do the other half later. Again, because I was connected to the family I trusted him, he never sent the rest. He new my circumstances, new why I was selling the car. I spent weeks trying to then get my money off him and got fobbed off and completely ignored over and over by everyone! He then went on to sell my car for ALOT more and still hasn’t paid me. Absolutely disgusting really!

I recently purchased a car from Richlee as I have become disenchanted with a certain local main dealer. Never having dealt with Richlee I was wary even after having read some of the good reviews. STAFF The staff at Richlee were very polite and approachable, speaking 'to' me rather than 'at' me. DEAL Doing the deal was relaxed with no pressure to buy and no massaged figures presented to me to try and get me to buy. CUSTOMER SERVICE When I collected the car all appeared in order but on the way home an engine emission warning light came on. On returning with the car the next day. No problem sir leave the car with us, followed by here is a courtesy car while we repair yours. Wow I thought, proper service. There was no handbook with the car, no problem sir we will sort you one, which duly arrived. They even gave me a free vehicle service for the car in a years time.

I visited Richlee in Billericay within the last week or so, the sales man ‘don’ was chirpy and helpful, was looking at trying out an automatic Abarth I had my eyes on and have had my eyes on since they posted it, I hadn’t driven an automatic abarth before and heard a lot of mixed reviews so before I went and spent nearly £17k on a car without financing it, of course I wanted to give it a go. The automatic wasn’t for me, was a bit laggy no fault of the dealership it was just not the car for me and I knew I would prefer a manual. The sales man asked mine and my partners opinion on the automatic gearbox and got defensive and rude when we advised we didn’t like how the gearbox worked. I advised I was also interested in one of the manuals they had but he wouldn’t give me the keys to look around it as he got all up tight and rude. He lost a sale that day but i would never buy my car from that place. The cars are overpriced and not even checked over before allowing people on test drives (also test drove a car there previously and the wheel bearings had gone, when I advised the salesman if this his response was ah well we haven’t done our checks on it yet, baring in mind it had been up for sale for around 2/3 weeks. Steer clear and spend your heard earned money somewhere where the staff are more polite and willing to help.
I went to Richlee Motor Co Billericay to look for a car for my elderly parents and the staff there were superb. They treated my parents with great respect, even offering to deliver the car to them and to stay and make sure they got familiar with the car and were confident with the controls. The sale went very smoothly indeed and my parents are delighted with their car. I don't ever leave reviews - but I am going to just this one time as I think it is well deserved. Many thanks to you all - first class.

Bought a Focus from Richlee Motor Co, 1 week of driving went into limp mode, found a door seal had been siliconed into place when it came loose and that the passenger door retaining clip hinge was loose. Took back for problems to be sorted no courtesy car and no was down to us to keep track of what was happening repair wise. Got car back to find a hole where the retaining clip was (this or be without a car for a week as they were waiting for the part) . Got car back today that the part they were waiting for seemingly was just a washer have they just bodged a fix. Still has same problem but now car is damaged.
