I called this place 3 times now to get some info regarding a BMW 320d first guy said he will get back to me with full details on car, which he obviously didn’t, second time I rang this rude women answered the phone, she had no customer service skill, I first thought maybe it was the wrong number, 3rd time I called back they just the same thing, rude, rude and rude
Terrible customer service. They use old tricks to lure you to bye the cars they want to sell. They advert cheap and good deals. Witch are gone in any time that you call. Even when the car is not in shop yet is already sold. And then, they offert to you the car they want to sell. Such a disappointment. I’m asking what other tricks they hiding. Prestige.....what a prestige!?

Really helpful over the phone and really helpful once I arrived. Was told the car had full service history and run flat tyres. Car had neither of them. When I got there they had to glue the spoiler down for me as I could see sun rays coming through it but I thought I’d just let it slide. Come to get the car serviced 6 months later and there is no evidence of service history on the system, so now I am stuck with a 4 year old bmw 420d with only pet service history - proving very difficult to sell. Not happy what do ever and will never ever use again

Was going to buy a BMW from S James until I realised the photos of the cars are not the actual car that you will be purchasing. I then read the reviews and it's plain to see you would be truly bonkers to buy a car from this company. Read them yourselves. Cheap replica alloys, budget tyres(on high performance cars) Wrong width of tyres and cheap replica body kits, glued on, plus car looking nothing like the one in the advert.and photos. Make your own mind up!!!!!

The second hand car sales industry is synonymous with talk of dodgy practises eager to rip off their customers knowing they won't be back for a few years, well its sites like this where the customer get to point these failings out and hopefully warn off other potential buyers, S James Prestige sit in this bracket in my view. People may read this and think 'someone didn't get their way or what they wanted', well all I wanted was honesty and a fair service considering I'm spending the best part of £22,000.00 on a car. I didn't get that, I should have known when I turned up to collect the car, like most I bought the car based on photographs and the sales team description, first mistake, I arrived at the agreed collection time then spent the best part of an hour waiting, I watched as a young chap inspected a 4 series on the forecourt, it made me think, he takes pride in what he does, he has an eye for detail and is meticulous in looking for imperfection's, I'm in safe hands, second mistake, finally the same young chap brought me into a side office and apologised for the wait and went through all the paperwork, I still hadn't seen the car, it was 'being prepared' or so they said, 40 minutes later after signing all the paperwork and tax etc the car appeared, by now I was eager to get away, annoyed at the fact I had been waiting so long, we stood back and looked at the car, 'there you go' he presented the car, I remember saying, yep, 4 wheels and a steering wheel, he wished me on my way and off I drove, third mistake. 2 days later, lockdown number 1, this was the second time of driving the car and I drove to work to collect some equipment to work at home, talking to a colleague in the car park he remarked about, not a scratch but a gauge on the bonnet, i started to inspect more and in detail, photographing each find, there were several, I emailed the garage with the photographs only to get the response, 'sold as seen', really, I responded with, you would have known about this, you would have seen it, I watched how meticulous you were, this wouldn't have been missed by you, his response, sorry, you signed for the car to say you were happy, nothing we can do, I was furious, this wasn't the response I was looking for, no apology, nothing. I emailed the sales team, I mentioned that there was a cooling off period and that I would be returning the car, the next email from them was more like it, apologising and stating, we'll put it right, when lockdown 1 ends, bring it back and we'll see what we can do, better I thought. Now for some reason when this garage take in the cars they like to jazz them up, performance kits, 20 inch alloys, yes it looks good, makes the car more attractive, well you wait until you come to replace the tyre, I had a puncture, I started trawling the market for a replacement tyre, let me tell you, its not easy, not in the slightest, every garage i went to exclaimed, what car is this? These are non standard and certainly not BMW, I looked into it further, not only do they put budget tyres on they use cheap imitation alloys, now I find myself having to pay to replace all four, with run flats as the manufacturer intended, no foam, no jack, no spanners, they don't tell you this when you buy it! So, in conclusion, if you take nothing from this post, do one thing, take your money elsewhere, its garages like this that give the industry a bad name, this is one customer who won't be returning!

Before you buy a car check the advert as they don’t tell you their cars come with any service history and when I contacted them for help trying to trace service history they said “we gave you all the paperwork “

Superb service from start to finish, not your usual car dealer setup - amazing setting with very up market feel to the viewing area and offices. Service was outstanding and made to feel very relaxed and the transaction was very straight forward as I couldn’t fault the car. We did have a slight issue after the purchase but it was rectified fast and efficiently. I read the reviews on here prior and it almost put me off, therefore I felt compelled to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Hi All I would seriously think twice before using 'sjprestige' and my experience were horrenous! Firstly it's the ONLY car retailer in the land who does not refund when buying online line WHICH IS AGAINST THE DISTANCE SELLING LAWS but not onlt that, when your buying 'they call you every day all nicley nicley then when and if you change your mind, their attitude changes dramatically that's when you can get hold of someone when they know your cancelling a sale. In addition to this, they advertise vehicles with quotes like, dechomed and 22" alloys and privacy glass. What they don't tell is they cheaply wrap a film around any Chrome, use after market alloys then put a branded centre cap on to make them look 0riginal then again put a cheap privacy film on windows instead of replacing the glass. This is the worst car company I have ever dealt with AVOID AVOID AVOID!
"All style, no substance" Given I have worked within the automotive industry for over 15 years, I am typically not one to write negative reviews, however in this case I feel the need to share my recent experience of SJames Prestige. In sales terms, I would consider myself as a 'red hot lead' given my frequent interest in new vehicle stock that this dealer had available. Following several unanswered phone calls to the sales team, I did finally get the call back so I could express my interest in a specific car, however during the call I found it a challenge to extract any detailed information about the car and was only being given 'topline' information and found there was a real reluctance to share information, which is what any new car buyer really needs. I should also point out that I sensed I was being rushed throughout each call with the sales team, but I was prepared to give the benefit of doubt as it could be duly explained if the individual was new into the business and had some level of inexperience. It was mentioned that they sell vehicles easily and quickly (classic sales line); which might be true, but it did not do anything to enhance my own customer experience but actually only added to my feeling that the company approaches its new business leads with a fair amount of complacency and arrogance. I since received a limited responses via email, and when asked for a factual breakdown about a specific car (historical, MOT renewal, finance application, payment information) all important standard questions, I since received no response at all, which is where is has now been left. I find it hard to believe that any reasonable or normal person would part with large amounts of money towards a non-refundable deposit to secure a car without viewing/test driving it first (each one I enquired about was off site!) and without the key facts of information that any new buyer would absolutely need and expect! If you are prepared to work through the pretentiousness, I would urge any interested in purchasing a vehicle to tread cautious, and do their due diligence.
