What a great company to buy a car from. Great customer service. Didn’t feel pushed into buying anything, just received great advice. In the end bought myself a lovely bmw. Would recommend to anyone to buy from here!!!!

Bought my little Ka from Joe, no pressure sale and he was very helpful throughout. Aftersales was excellent too!

All I can say js that I unfortunately purchased a car from SMC. I thought that as an AA approved dealership they’d be on the ball, not the case. Sold me a car with more faults than I can throw a stick at. Yea they were nice enough to give me a years warranty as an apology, but I’m going to be out of pocket. Spoke to them today and they said no faults were recorded when they sent the car to me…mmm right! Luckily I know the code for the in car diagnostics and the codes that were there when they took the car back were there on return after supposedly fixing it. Now the car won’t start at all. The car had nearly 6 thousand miles more than advertised and when I left a review elsewhere they responded “the increase was due to them taking it back and fixing it”. Where did they drive it to, New York!! Think long and hard before buying from them.

I bought a Vauxhall Cascada a month ago, I dealt with Jamie, he was very knowledgeable and helpful, I couldn't get to see the car for a week as I lived over a 120 miles away, but I was allowed to leave a small deposit and promised it wouldn't be sold until I had viewed it. When I arrived the car was spotless, and took it away within the hour, I've had it over a month and it drives like a dream. I would highly recommend this garage if you are looking for a car.

The Smart for two car was advertised as excellent condition inside was good but the car was brought unseen, a big mistake. I was assured that it was in excellent condition, but no service was carried out prior to delivery to Clacton on a low loader. Thank goodness it was not driven, the brake master cylinder, radiator top up tank and washers were virtually empty and which was advertised as drive away today, which due to unforeseen circumstances was not possible. The sump was also overfilled with oil by over two litres, by the way the oil and filter were not changed as asked, thank goodness the car was not driven otherwise the catalytic converter would have been wrecked or the head gasket blown. The plastic panoramic roof was stained with what appeared to be limescale and defied all attempts to clean it. Remember this was advertised as excellecnt condition. The sales team must have been rubbing their hands with glee that they ever managed to sell that car and showed total disregard as to the rectification of it's faults. Half of the ownership details were missing as were the MOT certificates. I had to do detailed history check on the vehicle myself and pay for the same. My advice is go somewhere else to change your car. Do NOT use this company unless you wish your valid complaints to be ignored. I wonder if they know anything about cars. M. Hook.
