I wish I could give no stars but this website insists in order to post my review.
I pray that someone reads this review before going to Star Car Sales. I will try to cut a very long painful story short.
On the 19th January I made one of the biggest mistakes and bought a car from Star Car Sales. I had checked the MoT history online and it showed that in March 2021 it had failed and had several serious advisories. The December 2021 Mot showed it had passed with no advisories. I assumed all faults had been fixed.
SIX DAYS later the brakes were continually making a grinding sound, they were smelling, and a warning light for glow plugs came on. I took it to a local garage where they confirmed the vehicle had several UNSAFE faults (which were the ones from the March mot) with the brakes and that it should have shown on the December Mot. The mot was FRAUDULENT, and I was unable to drive the vehicle because it was UNSAFE. The repair bill in total was £1400+ Dealership refused to pay the repair bill. Dealership then REFUSED to give me a refund despite my rights as a consumer as per the 2015 legislation. Dealership only offered to get the repairs done himself. I explained I was not comfortable as the trust had been broken, and as per my rights, I legally don’t have to accept a repair, I am entitled to my money back.
What could have been sorted so easily has continued for over three weeks. This dealership knows what they are doing. They have vast experience in selling UNSAFE VEHICLES and then making the returns process as difficult as possible. HE LIES THROUGH HIS TEETH, DISPUTES EVERYTHING, ACCUSES ME OF MAKING FALSE ACCUSATIONS, HIS MANNER IS AGGRESSIVE AND HE IS A BULLY. I have had another second independent inspection where they concluded the vehicle is unsafe to drive, I have reported the MoT to DVSA, I have reported them to Citizens Advice, the Bedfordshire Police, The Motor Obudsman and Trading Standards are investigating them.
I was also never given a copy of my invoice, the salesman took a photo of it and then put it in a draw in his desk. Upon requesting my invoice, they say they gave it to me, and that 6 days later, they are still “looking” for their copy.
I will be beginning legal action against them. They have no regard for safety, or customer rights.

Faulty car sold to me that's leaking diesel from engine, 15% battery life, and over priced. I had to have the car towed as it broke down the next day. Get my refund was so difficult my calls were ignored and I had to stand in the rain for an hour demanding my money. Never ever purchase from them. Worst experience of my life

I bought a car and it broke down within 24hours and was advised by a professional mechanic not to ever drive it. It was unsafe and extremely dangerous. Getting my refund was like climbing Mount Everest backwards, they were very rude, disappointing and nasty. My calls were avoided and I had to stand on the cold for an hour demanding my money.
Please don't buy from them just go to a trusted car dealership. Absolute scam

These guys are SCRAP DEALERS selling WRITE-OFFS - sold me a JEEP PATRIOT that has lots of issues that costing me as much as the car. Father AND Son DUO seem so nice BUT BEWARE. They are untrustworthy and total SCAMMERS.They promised a 12 month warranty at the time of purchase but only provided me with 6 months and they stopped answering my calls when i started chasing the rest of the six months warranty.The ECU UNIT failed in the first two months which i managed to fix with the warranty .The car was making funny noises every time you change the gears during driving. I took it HALFORDS for a free check and they informed that the jeep needs a new gear box and clutch asap.i rang the warranty company and i was told the warranty wont cover gear box and clutch.i was also informed that the entire suspension is rusty and it might need changing at some point.I always wanted to have a jeep and my dream was shattered because of these two thieves[father and son].They even promised me to repair dents and scratch marks on the bumper when i bought the jeep and that was ignored too.PLEASE AVOID THEM.i cant believe they are still around.
