My experience with Stebbings Car Superstore in King’s Lynn was an absolute disgrace. The staff were shockingly unprofessional and displayed a blatant disregard for customers’ time. Despite calling ahead to confirm my visit, they showed zero consideration for my journey and casually dismissed me, telling me to come back on a weekday. When I insisted on a test drive, they flat-out refused, using the excuse that it was a "busy Sunday." This was a blatant lie—the showroom was practically empty, unlike other dealerships I visited on the same day. It was clear they had no intention of assisting me. To make matters worse, the staff were utterly indifferent. I watched as the showroom manager walked in and out of his office without so much as acknowledging my presence. This level of disrespect and lack of basic customer service is unacceptable. It’s evident that the staff are poorly trained and lack even the most basic courtesy. I will never recommend Stebbings King’s Lynn to anyone. The entire experience was a waste of time, and I regret stepping foot in their showroom. The fact that not a single staff member bothered to introduce themselves speaks volumes about their attitude toward customers. Avoid this place at all costs—they don’t deserve your business!

Hi Sapien, thank you for your review, we welcome them good or bad. I would like to add the true facts to this. You came in looking to test drive a performance Yaris GR in the showroom. We looked at figures before hand to make sure we were in the right ball park and we were some £4000 away from where you wanted to be. You also wanted to check your insurance in the week. Normally we wouldn’t have an issue with getting you out for a test drive but we wouldn’t be able to sell you the vehicle as you couldn’t accept the deal offered to you. I am the manager here on shift and greeted you first when you came in, at the time all other sales members were with customers. I am sorry you feel this way and wish you the best of luck in your search for a new car.

Edit: 1) They did provide a part-exchange value for my car, but I’m unsure how they arrived at that figure. The information they used to make the offer could have easily been gathered over the phone, yet they insisted I accept their offer before even entering into any negotiation. This felt rushed and unfair, leaving me with little confidence in their valuation process. 2) I also wanted to check with my insurance company regarding the aftermarket exhaust fitted to the car, as this could impact its value and help me determine a fair price for the Yaris as part of the negotiation. However, before I could even consider their offer or make a counterproposal, I needed to test drive the Yaris. I had never driven one before, and I brought my family along to see how they felt about the vehicle, especially since it’s a 3-door model. Their input was important to me, as this is a family decision. It was incredibly disappointing that, despite my efforts and preparation, the day turned out to be a complete waste of time. The lack of flexibility and willingness to accommodate my reasonable requests left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I expected better from a dealership that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction.

Went to look at a new car and they missed out on a sale because of their greed. Tried to tell me that my car was not worth what a recognised dealer told me what it’s worth . And took the car and plugged in a diagnostic machine only to tell me that it’s needs a sensor . When it didn’t as it a code that shows up every time it’s needed adblue, my mechanic cleared it straight away . Advise give stebbings a wide berth . Robbing b….,,,,
Bought an £18000 family car service was floor less. However once I picked car up nothing but issues? Once they got your money customer service don’t exist . So left with a £18000 car that is not roadworthy and they don’t care that I bought it to keep my 5 year old son safe . How they got 3.7 stars is beyond me when they lie and are willing to put a 5 year old in danger . DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY !, Cowboys the lot of them .

Martin was a star. Explained everything clearly. Felt really looked after. Highly recommended
Martin at Stebbings went above and beyond to help me, securing the car I wanted and completing the purchase and pick-up in super quick time. Showed genuine care for my requirements by recommending alternative payment product to serve my best interests - and was able to organise pick up of vehicle in quicker time than I expected.
My wife purchased a car from Stebbings at the beginnng of this month as a gift for me for completing 23 years service in the Armed Forces. At first the expereince seemd to be OK. My wife dealt with a sales assistant who seemed to be helpful and knowlegable but we have since found out that the warranty information she provided was false. My wife explained to the sales assistant that the car would be driven to the Netherlands immeadiatly after purchase and would eventually be exported from the UK. At which point they discussed the validity of the Warranty. My wife explained that it would be unlikely that the car would be taken back to the UK unless there was something seriously wrong with it. The response she was given was that this would be ok and the warranty would be valid for three months. The first minor problem was the car wasnt cleaned correctly, It had a strong smell of cigarette smoke . My wife had little option but to accept the car in this state because she had to drive to catch a ferry at Dover. This just so happened to be the day that the port had delays for over 7 hours. The second minor problem was the headlining falling off the sunroof runners. A bad feeling had started to set in!! Low and behold a few weeks into purchasing a, 19000 pound BMW the car develops a high pitch squeel at startup and a fault code appears on the dash detailing an engine fan fault. Amazing!!! So I decided to phone Stebbings to see if we can arrange for the car to repaired. I must stress that the car is now in the Netherlands (as described) but it is still a UK registered car. (It hasnt been exported yet!) Guess what the rersponse from Stebbings was? Thats it you guessed it, the car isnt covered under warrantly. Apparently as soon as you drive it out of the UK the warranty is invalid. My next question. so if i was driving to the EU on holiday and developed the fault would it be covered, the answer was yes. EH! so you cover for holidays in the EU but you dont cover cars that havent been exported. My final question, are you willing to give some kind of good will gesture to help towords the cost of the repair. GUESS WHAT THE ANSWER WAS!!!!! To all individuals who read this, please think carefully about purchasing a car from this company. Reading the other reviews and relating these to my expereince. They have a strong tendancy to mislead and lull you into a false sense of security. Old fashioned dodgy car salesman comes to mind.
I purchased a vehicle from Stebbings in April 2022. My experience was far from good, in fact it was downright frightening. On the day of the handover I had to get the train from West Wales (Where I am living with a friend) and pick my old vehicle up from my old house (recently split from my wife), a journey of nearly 300 miles. The week before I had been offered 18,000 for my two year old electric van - and I had this in writing. I got to Stebbings (Kings Lynn) shortly after 1pm and took the 'new' vehicle out for a test drive. While I was just about to pay the balance for my new vehicle, the showroom manager came to speak to me. He said that as the van needed cleaning, he could only offer me 17,500 for my van.... after first saying 16,900. He knew the predicament I was in. My van would not have had the charge to get back to my old house and I had planned to drive the new vehicle back to Wales the next day, so I HAD to do a deal there and then. I was in a very difficult situation and they knew that they could offer me considerably less for my van EVEN THOUGH I had it in writing of the higher offer. I felt scared that I would end up in a really bad situation and pressurised to take the lower offer. To use the excuse that the vehicle had to be cleaned was very poor. Firstly, I had already thoroughly cleaned the exterior, the dash and the seats, so it was only the floor that needed cleaning - an easy to clean plastic surface and would have cost maybe 20 pounds maximum to get it done. OK so it was only a 500 difference, but it put me out of pocket considerably and I believe that this was extremely dishonest and morally disgusting so I would not recommend Stebbings to anyone. This sort of dishonest practice should not be allowed to continue. If you are given an offer in writing for part exchange, then they should honour it or not give an offer at all until the car is seen.
“Dissatisfying service at Stebbings” My elderly grandparents traded in their car as they was looking for a smaller one. Their only requirements was for the new car to be economical on fuel, ideally a Diesel engine and an automatic. A sales representative sold them a car that was a manual, which my grandfather struggled to operate effectively, and a VERY uneconomical petrol. As a result of this they soon discovered only a few days after the purchase/exchange that this was a very impractical car for them. We went back to Stebbings only one week later and explained that the car was not suitable for them and they would like to either have their old car back or exchange the car for an automatic diesel model. To much dismay we was told that they could not do this and would purchase the car back £3,500 less than what they paid for it. I asked the sales rep to see their terms and conditions only to be told that the sales rep HAD NEVER SEEN ANY TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE and DOESN’T EVEN KNOW IF THE COMPANY HAS ANY! There are no terms and conditions listed on their website. I then proceeded to ask for the manager to be told that he had left early as he lives over 2 hours away and that there was NO ONE ON SITE OF AUTHORITY! The sales rep took my phone number and email address and explained that the manager would be in contact the next day, I mentioned that it would then be over a week since the purchase which may result in us being over the cooling off period (if there was one). The sales rep said that we have their word on the fact that we came in within a week of purchase asking for a swap or to get their old car back. We had no choice but to leave very dissatisfied and discontented with the service provided. My grandparents the next day found a different car at a different dealers which would give them £3,500 more than what Stebbings offered them for the purchase of the car! I have not felt the need to write a review before but I need to share our experience after such shocking service from such a large company! If you are considering purchasing a car from Stebbings make sure you ask for their terms and conditions before purchasing!
