I put a deposit on a bike and was told it was ready but the bike straight from scrap yard, on closer inspection most of the bikes on display had a questionable past, rogue traders, avoid at all costs, you have been warned!

It was all going great, until i rode out the door... Bike broke within the first month and their "customer service" was laughable. Eventually got it "repaired" a few weeks later under their warranty, with no explanation as to what was wrong, what they fixed or any paperwork to go with it. Came back with more problems and a broken pillion seat. If you buy a bike from them don't expect any customer service support and definitely don't buy the extended warranty.

Paid £6k for bike which broke down 16 days later. Customer service is handled through emails which takes 5 days for a reply. Picking bike up took them 2 weeks, 2 weeks to fix it and another week to redeliver it back. I’ve lost about 4 days of holiday waiting in for them. Jokers

I am writing this review to share my experience with SBF and to express my disappointment with the service provided. Initially, I was optimistic and believed everything was in order when I purchased my bike from SBF. However, I encountered a few issues that led to my confidence in their service being severely shaken. One of the main issues I experienced was with the images of the bike. The images on the original listing were different from those I received from the garage just before the bike was delivered. I was informed that this was due to the bike being with them twice and the wrong images being uploaded. This led to some confusion and frustration on my part as certain parts were missing but i had been thorough the process of finance so i replaced the Pillion parts at my cist once i received the bike. In addition, the log book for the bike was not sent off for a year, and although I accept some responsibility for not realizing this earlier, I feel this should have been dealt with better by SBF. The bike was kept in the garage throughout the winter and was only taken out last week for its first MOT since I became the owner. Unfortunately, it failed due to a warped front disk and deformed handlebars. These issues should have been detected during the 120-point inspection that SBF claims is conducted on all their bikes before shipping them to customers. However, when I raised the issue with SBF, they inferred that I had caused the damage by the style of my riding and declined to uphold my claim. I found this response insulting and disappointing. Furthermore, SBF cannot provide evidence that the 120-point safety inspection and road tests were conducted on my bike and are demding i prove that i didnt cause any damage. SBF has now requested that I pay for an independent inspection of the vehicle, and they will "consider" looking into the matter further. This situation has caused me a great deal of inconvenience and frustration. Before purchasing the bike, I was assured that the cosmetic damage to the right-hand side was only superficial and that everything else was sound. However, I find it suspicious that the damage that caused the MOT failure is also on the right-hand side, the same side that the previous damage was on. As a first-time bike owner, I would highly recommend that anyone receiving a bike from SBF should have it checked out at their local garage during their refusal period to avoid any issues like this in the future. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to conclude that the aftercare provided by SBF is not satisfactory. Furthermore, their customer service has been severely lacking, with a technical fault preventing phone communication for the past four weeks. The only time I receive a call back is when they think I am interested in purchasing a new bike, which I find to be quite intrusive and hounding. In conclusion, I cannot recommend SBF based on my experience. While the initial purchase and delivery of the bike were satisfactory, the aftercare and customer service have been severely lacking, causing me a great deal of inconvenience and frustration.

I worked there at management level and their standards and work practices are bordering on criminal. Someone will be killed on one of their bikes if these practices continue. Please don't be that person and buy a bike from somewhere that actually services their bikes and who puts them through a thorough check process. 2 x 60 point checks does not constitute a 120 point check if the checks are the same but done twice. The collection drivers determine if the bike is 'ready to ride' without a technician looking at it. BE WARNED

Ashley Fabian in response to Please don't do it.

I have an issue at the moment with a bike that has failed its first MOT since i had it due to warped disks and deformed bars. Would be very interested to hear more as this will be taken to court. Many thanks Ashley @ fabianfamily.co.uk

Initial part exchange communications were great. Traded my 2021 Honda rebel 1100 for a gsx1250 2015 in order to free up a bit of much needed cash. On the day of the swap I was presented with a bike (3 hours later than arranged) with not one single piece of documentation therefore I couldn't tax it. I use my motorcycle for work all year round and was due to leave for a night shift on the new bike. After lots of frantic phone calls I was passed a reference number that I could use to tax it. The bike also had a flashing red FI which at the time I stupidly mistook for a fuel warning light as the bike was empty. Filled the bike up on the way to work, warning light still on. Googled and found that FI was fault indicator warning light. .. So to recap... Bike delivered really late. Not one piece of paperwork with the bike. Warning RED F I light on dash, and to top it off the heated grips didn't work and both tyres under inflated. Contacted superbike factory via email straight away as it was later in the evening now. 2 options were given to me the next day.... Fix it yourself and we'll pay as long as its not too much but we want quotes first. They will fix it but it will be gone for weeks. I explained that I need my bike for work each day and none of those are an option. So I asked for my bike back and I would look for another bike. I also said I was on annual leave for the next week and that should be plenty of time to swap the bikes back over. I was then told that I couldn't have my bike back at the same time the broken one is collected as this isn't their procedure. The faulty bike would need to be checked over and assessed before mine could be released. Again I thought, not a problem as I'm off for a week. The faulty bike was picked up leaving 4 days to get my bike back for work. Over the next 4 days lots of emails were sent by myself, none of which were answered, I left messages to ring me back when the phones weren't being picked up. The only way I could actually speak to someone was to try and enquire online via ebay to actually try and buy my Honda Rebel back which was currently still up for sale on their website and Ebay. Needless to say, 5 minutes after enquiring I get a phonecall from the sales department who, after I explained I was trying to buy my own bike back, passed me to the correct department. Even after talking to the right department I still am in no better a situation. Hundreds down from, tax, insurance and deposit. Still haven't got my bike back and no way of getting to work.. and to top it off, my bike is still for sale on both sites. Fuming is an understatement right now... PART 2 Unbelievably bad. After my last review, surprise surprise someone rang me to discuss the problem. A very nice lady said she had sorted everything out and that I would finally get my bike back (please read last review for details) I was told my bike was due for delivery yesterday (monday) Took a day off work to receive it. Nothing turns up. 3 emails, 4 phone calls later I speak to a manager of some sort. He looked into the case and promised a phonecal the next day between 12 and 1pm. The solution being, either get my bike back within 24 hours or give me more money and they can keep it. Needless to say no phoncall to me. Another 3 emails and at 17.30 ish tonight I get a reply back saying my bike is now coming back on Friday 4th... We shall wait and see. I have never been subjected to such bad customer service ever, as I have over the last 3 weeks. All I want is my bike back

Had my bike for sale on eBay and they approached me with an offer which I accepted! Firstly, they went to the wrong address, but when they eventually turned up they offered me £500 less!! I obviously declined. Completely wasted my time with a half hearted phone call apology. I lost money due to taking time of work and will have to pay for another listing on eBay! They wouldn’t even reimburse the eBay fee! I would avoid and I definitely won’t be buying anything from these guys!! Unprofessional!

Paid nearly £4000 for a bike. Defects on bike not shown in photos and videos; rusty pegs, exhaust manifold, forks etc, and rear wheel paint job flaking. Failed first MOT for fork seals. Unnaceptable. Tried to contact dealer and they don't want to hear it. Ignoring my calls and emails. Awful business. Avoid like the plague.
