I bought a Vauxhall corsa from these people and about 2 months later, problems began. It started with the petrol leaking from the car and the car refusing to start. Contacted the garage who were rude stating that this is not their problem. I have spent more money that what I purchased the car for on repairs and still I’ve problem after problem. My advise is not to buy from this garage. They sold me a car that is dangerous to drive!!
Just bought a Mini Cooper S from Cleckheaton Motor Sales. Car was immaculate. No pushy sales patter - let you take it for a spin. Amazing car and super impressed and a great price. The guys won’t give you the BS pushy sales pitch but if you ask for anything they’re attentive and helpful Overall really impressed and looking forward to picking my new wheels up!

We travelled some considerable distance to view a car that has been on the dealership’s website for some time. We took it for a test drive and liked the car enough to approach the sales person to discuss buying it. As we wanted to make a part exchange, he came over to look at our car and then spoke on the phone to his manager. The price offered was considerably lower than the figure we had in mind .(based on other comparative cars for sale in the area) This in itself was not the problem, what was, was the indifference and casual attitude of the staff who just shrugged and walked away, making no attempt to negotiate or discuss a price to suit both of us.
Would not buy a car from these people! I bought a car a few months ago and the problems started straight away fair do I never told the garage as small things I could live with like smelling of damp and heaters not working properly which cause the car to steam up! Then the problems started car struggles to get in reverse and the linkage has gone on the window wipers therefore the car is un roadworthy!!! I called and spoke to James last week to be told they won't do anything with the wipers but would fix the radiators as it's a common problem on a Zafira? Explained I didn't buy a zafira I bought a corsa he then started going on about the engine?told him I didn't have a problem with the engine.took to my local garage to be told the wipers will cost at least £300 to repair!!! My mot is due next month and will definitely fail due to the car being unroadworthy and illegal .will now be starting legal proceedings as citizens advise said I have a strong case due to the consumer rights act.please take my advice and do not buy you might as well throw money down the drain!!!!

I bought a car from here recently. Warning bells should have rang when I turned up and a staff member was disputing a car sale with an angry customer. I was told the only problem with the car I liked was the interior light, given a form to sign, and trusting them (stupidly) I signed. I wasn’t told that all this was wrong below, taken from an independent report: Offside tyre worn down to wire. O/S lower ball joint boat ripped off Near brake pad on metal Rear calipers, arms, pads and discs need replacing as calipers fixed in brake position permanently. All this has cost over £700 to fix a £1300 car. The £100 Blackstar warranty they sold me doesn’t cover any of it. As it’s wear and tear. That’s fair enough as that’s how most warranties work. However the independent garage advised that the company who sold it to me (that being Trade Cars Cleakheaton Motors), have sold a vehicle that is not fit for purpose. When in the office getting ready to buy the car. I was told the only problem was an interior light. “That’ll just need a bulb. It’s a good car.” Then along with all the other paperwork was handed a Pre Delviery Inspection Report and told it was all ok and to sign at the bottom. I stupidly signed it. Within a few weeks, after discovering all the car’s problems, I went back to this report and found all of the issues above were already ticked as being Unsatisfactory by the same person who told me all I needed to do was buy a bulb. So don’t trust their word. READ THE PAPERWORK. So go there and buy a car if you wish, but don’t believe them at face value. If you have any sense look elsewhere.

Cleckheaton Motor Sales sold us a car saying it has two keys, we got one. They said they would arrange a second one but after it was purchased.....nothing!! They failed to give us a service history manual, when they rang to tell them this was missing. We were blamed for losing it....we didn’t get it!! Car went back because of an oil leak....still leaking!! Stay well away!!
Took them to a small claims court this month and won out right.
Saw many cars in our price range, so we visited. Looked round all the cars with no pressure from a salesman. When we decided on two cars we asked for details, which were all given. We asked for a test drive. No problems. We decided to drive away that day. No pressure, just a helpful staff chap who just did all the paperwork with no fuss, answered any questions we had. We then drove it away. I will come back and re assess in a month or so.

It's been a few months now, is the car still working fine? Have you had any issues?
Paul Foster in response to Easy way to purchase a good priced car
Three months after the purchase, and there have been no problems, very happy and would use again.
Purchased car from them They were nice enough and happy to take the money from me but within 3 weeks had problems which they had my car for 4 days to 'sort' which then 2 weeks later was a problem again so they Did not sort it Resulted in 2 AA call outs for me at weekends and towing car home Each time I phoned to ask when was going to be fixed I was told by the staff member that if I kept ringing asking my car would be put to one side at the garage and left until other cars done!! Disgusting service Would never deal with them again Rude staff and don't want to know if you are reporting a problem Please do not buy cars from this sales service
