Do not touch Excellent Cars with a barge pole. Having purchased car from here I found that the warranty was not worth the paper its written on.

Customer service before I purchased the car was very good at Excellent Cars. after sales however, non existent. don't reply to emails or return calls. 1 week after buying car battery dies, completely flat. RAC guy told me to contact garage as it was their responsibility, but can't get through to them.

I visited Excellent Cars showrooms to look at a car I had seen on Autotrader. firstly signs are lacking outside to state entrance. The car that was advertised was not up to standard at all and quite frankly if I owned that place or managed it I would be embarrassed by my stock and my staff. Firstly the car was 5 years old and had dents and marks on the bonnet, crack to wing mirror and when this was brought up to the sales man he simply said well what do you expect from a 5 year old car. Not only this there was a cigarette burn on the front drivers seat which was clear but yet again he didn't know about it, one tyre was bald all 3 were on marker. Then there was a dent on the passenger side arch like it had been hit and a rubbish repair job. When we pointed all this out and asked about price he said no can not do anything and didnt know about the damage. The cars are overpriced all of them are filthy the majority were cracked bumpers bubbling paint work a mercs hub caps where stuck on. The name is misleading excellent cars? The salesman attitude was actually disgusting to say the least. Would never buy from here or waste my time looking. This used car dealership needs to sort its self out

I too have recently purchased a car from Excellent Cars in Sheffield and I found the service outstanding. I rang and booked an appoiuntment to visit their new impressive indoor showroom and I was totally satisfied the car I had come to see was the one in the advert and not a library photo as some dealers seem to use nowadays. I found the salesman very helpful and not at all pushy like some of the other places I have visited in the past and I only had to collect the car after it had been prepared for me. I am highly delighted with the car and the service I recieved and would recommend them highly to any car buyer looking for a good car at a decent price as they seem to be very competitively priced within the marketplace

I bought my car at Excellent Cars. A soon as I bought it, the car revelaed to be faulty in the engine. The same problem appeared in a MOT they did to the car three days before selling it so that means they were aware something was not working. They were not able to fix the problem and refused to give me any refunding for the fault. The feeling is that you never can trust them despite being apparently gentle and polite. Cheers

Although the price was reasonable, I'm afraid that I would not recommend people to use Excellent Cars. Some examples of poor service: - we were promised a full valet on the car - the car arrived with no valet having been done (also, a problem was made of delivering the car, and it was delivered very late despite it being promised to arrive in the morning) - bulb not working (pointed out prior to purchase) - when I insisted on a refund for this the employee tried to laugh in my face about it - when I insisted he eventually gave in but extremely rudely and as if he wanted to cry about it - not returning calls (e.g "ring you back in 10 seconds") and then you have to keep ringing THEM back.... - tracking faulty on car - took it back (under warranty) - picked it back up and the steering had not been touched (even though they promised it had....) Overall - very, very poor customer service.and you do not feel like you can trust them.
