This was my first time purchasing from Free Spirit Campervans, and everything went great. The team were very welcoming and I felt very confident with the answers to my questions about the Mercedes Viano. No complaints from me.

We purchased our first Campervan from Free Spirit last May, as recommended by a friend. They did a fantastic job of the conversion and we love it, however, Ian has really disappointed us. We had a problem with our leisure battery soon after purchasing it. They replaced it, however it then went again, we returned and said we would like it investigated as Adrian had informed us that a different person had done the wiring. We wanted to get to the bottom of why it was going, Ian was reluctant to do that so we had a 3rd leisure battery. Oh no, it went again so we took it to a local dealer to check and get a second opinion. They found the problem very quickly and fixed it!!! The wiring was completely wrong and informs us that they would keep going. They did say they knew of free spirit and were surprised. We wrote to Ian and all he said was that he was disappointed that we hadn’t gone back to give them the chance, despite the fact that we had been and he wouldn’t actually listen to what we were asking. We responded to his email last month saying that we had hoped for some compensation and he didn’t even respond. This is not the greatest customer care. I felt that if you had no further issues with your van you would be very happy with the quality of the conversion. I would just be very concerned about getting issues resolved to your satisfaction once purchased. They didn’t do the right thing by us.

For the odd day trips I've taken the camper out, it's been a brilliant motor. Ian and Adrian were the perfect pair while I was enquiring about the Nissan Elgrand HS because they were very knowledgeable and told me everything I needed to know, which gave me a lot of confidence to go ahead with the camper.

I haven’t camped in the van yet, but I’m really looking forward to it!  Adrian/Ian were great throughout the process, always on hand to help and had no problems answering any questions I had. Solid 4* experience, and I’ll be coming back soon to get a few bits for the camper.

We are chuffed with our new Nissan Elgrand HS, although we can't go away in it yet because we are cat sitting for our neighbour. Once they are back, we have got something booked in the midlands for the end of next month, so we will see how we get on.

As of yet I haven't got any trips planned but I know that I need to put a gas bottle in the Mazda before we head anywhere in it because I know Ill forget, but it's been faultless for the time I've driven it. I'm pleased with how Ian conducted the sale as he was very knowledgeable about the van and not once did he put any pressure on me to make the purchase.

This is the first time getting a camper from Free Spirit Campervans and it couldn't have gone any better. The team were very accommodating with us and our 2 dogs. They are dog lovers which made things a lot easier for us and there were an endless stream of coffees, what more could you want? We recently took the Mercedes Viano out this Sunday for a picnic, it was great and the kettle boiled perfectly.
