JGM Motors doesn't even deserve a one star rating that I'm giving it in this review. Both the father and son are aggressive and use foul language and the wife was no better but then what do you expect when they clearly don't work for their money, just simply scam people. I would suggest anyone wanting to buy car from here, don't. Go somewhere else, somewhere that will treat you like a human being and with respect. If you do decide to get a car from them, make sure you have it inspected independently first as it seems from these reviews, they do nothing but sell cars with faults and is this what you really want? Not to mention the threatening behaviour also. When you write a bad review, they try to make you look bad from what I've seen on other reviews.

This customer is without doubt the WORST customer that JGM Motors Ltd has ever had the displeasure of having to deal with by a long way.RUDE,ARROGANT,AGGRESSIVE & ABUSIVE.Tried to help with a warranty issue(for the second time in 30 days reference the car having a minor squeek). This was photographed and witnessed by employees of the garage and of the dealership.When Mr Edgar was told he wasn't welcome back on our premises. ABUSIVE & THREATENING (towards women aswell) behavior followed that we will not tolerate. His parents have been informed personally of his behavior and his drug tendencies that he admitted very arrogantly. He has been reported to the police. This just goes to show that absolutely anybody can put wrong versions of events on here. This customer should be ashamed of his actions and will never be allowed on the premises again,we want nothing to do with people like this.

This was not the full response I had posted on this website,car dealer reviews has deemed necessary to edit out factual events caused by said customer which are a lot worse even than had been posted.I hope no other car dealer has the bad luck to come across this person. His stepfather and his mother I just want to add are two very nice respectable people who bought and paid for the vehicle. Mr Edgar would and has fabricated his story to keep his tendencies away from their knowledge(mainly through awful,threatening behaviour!)

Bought a 10-year-old Saab convertible in March specifically to drive to Florence (and preferably back) in June/July. Car worked fine.

Bought a car late last year from JGM Motors. Very nice although a bit pushy in the initial purchase. Had some cosmetic issues which JGM agreed to fix. Despite having it well over a week, did a half-bodged (or not at all) job on trying to fix the cosmetic issues. Got the car back home and found the engine was down to half power due to engine misfiring. Got a car history check - MOT failed on emissions one day, passed the next without moving a mile (despite the owner of the Garage saying "we just drove it about till the emissions cleared up"). Very dodgy. Checked the paper work and turns out the extended warranty we took out wasn't actually signed off properly, full service history had 20,000 miles missing. JGM refused to do any repair work and was told sold as seen and to get the warranty company to repair the car. Incidently you'll no doubt have the delightful charms of Gary at JGM Ltd being aggressive and giving you flat out ignorance. Took the issue up with my bank, meanwhile JGM Ltd refused to correspond beyond sending letters from "Legal Solutions 4 U" which was chock full of fantasy and lies (including a made up pre-inspection list which never materialised). If you're going to send threatening legal documents, at least check you're following the law yourself! Bank refunded under faulty goods clause. JGM sharp got in touch and wanted the car back after that. Do some googling into their history and avoid like the plague.

Mr Hird, You purchased a 10 year old Fiat Punto for £1695 from ourselves on the 18/9/2016 for your sister after looking at the vehicle and test driving the vehicle.The car was MOT'd to national standard. The car developed a couple of issues after purchase,we took the car to an independent garage for repair,unfortunately in your eyes the car was not deemed to of been repaired to your standards so you received a refund for the vehicle(in December 2016) then we collected the vehicle as we are entitled to.We have since sold the vehicle to another customer and have been told the car is running great and they are very happy with the car. This is a classic case of buyers remorse. I do not intend to enter into anymore correspondence with yourself on the issue.

I have had a few issues with my car from JGM Motors. The dealer has been pretty awkward about it and although he has helped I have had to pay put for Diagnostics to be done and other charges. Overall, I think they would have don't better and I wouldn't recommend them.

Hello, If this is the individual case that I think it is,the customer bought a 14 year old low mileage mercedes e class on the 3/4/2017.The car developed an electrical issue,the customer was provided with a courtesy car and the repair at a cost of over £1000(25% of the purchase price of the vehicle)was met by JGM Motors Ltd with no resistance and the work carried out by a long established mercedes specialist.I don't think this qualifies JGM Motors Ltd as being awkward but as being very helpful.We try our best to keep our customers satisfied but some customers are impossible to keep happy.

I've seen you mention this a few times in response to negative reviews customers have given with regards to your 'business'. I find it hard to believe so many of your customers are impossible to keep happy, maybe if you actually tried giving them good service and cars that actually worked they'd be happy. Customers probably aren't going to be happy when they've knowingly been sold faulty goods.

Just bought a car from them, had it checked mot not worth the paper it's written on just spent £400 to fix a fault they were supposed to have repaired passed test with knackered breaks,windscreen wipers and bald tyres WTH? ????????

Car developed a fault which JGM were quick to rectify. Reason for last review was after work carried out by garage was unsatisfactory, glad to hear JGM no longer use this garage for their work and car come back to me working perfectly. Gary and Joe are there to help with any issues you have, if indeed any, and I'm now 100% happy, therefore will give a 5 star review.

Visited JGM after seeing a car on AutoTrader and from start to finish was given a brilliant service. My family and I were made welcome, all questions were answered and finance/paperwork were all completed with minimum fuss. From purchase to collection I was kept fully in the loop by Gary and Tracey and found them to be highly professional and very accommodating. The one minor issue I've had with my car is being sorted at a garage near to my home saving me a trip back to Durham (although the location is worth the journey) and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from here again in the future.

Avoid like the plague!! His attitude and behaviour is disgusting. If you have any issues with your car it's far too much effort for him to fix it and put it right! I will never purchase a car from him again.

Hi Jade, Just in response to your review the fact that we are rearranging your appointment(booked in for 10/4/2017) to get your cars intermittent issue looked at(as you missed your last appointment by over an hour) is in contrast to your statement that we don't look after our customers,especially customers like yourself who have now bought 2 cars off us (after having the first car written off).We are making every effort to look into your issue and have always been polite & courteous,having done a paint repair and MOT, as well as delivery and a discount, to your vehicle when you bought the car nearly 6 months ago. I was desperate for Dodge Nitro and searched numerous garages for over two weeks looking for a decent one to no avail. There were only 2,500 of these sold in the UK and the only ones that I managed to view were in poor condition and overpriced. .My wife finally found a nice looking one on the net at JGM Motors. Like a lot of people, I checked the garage out on this review site and was horrified at the negative reviews and reports of poor service, dodgy cars and the apparently dismissive attitude of the salesmen. Despite this I decided to have a look at the car with the proviso that I would get an advanced check completed by the RAC if the car looked like it was worth buying. I contacted JGM Motors and spoke to Gary who arranged a viewing and test drive for me the following day despite him having to juggle his schedule due to having to attend a funeral. He was nothing but helpful. The following day I was met by Joe who showed me the car and was polite, professional and knowledgeable. When I mentioned the Advanced RAC check he did not bat an eyelid and said that they would be happy to accommodate this. The car, which is 9 years old, absolutely flew through the 307 point RAC test with only two minor repairs which JGM arranged within 24 hours of the test (hardly the work of "Cowboys") I am now the happy owner of a car that would have cost me a grand more than it did anywhere else and is in excellent condition. It is clear that some on this site have an agenda, and I would urge the site to verify its reviews as genuine customers (I am happy to do this myself). I suspect that several of them may have come from the same source which undermines the purpose of the site. If you are looking for a decent car at a decent price then you can not go past these guys. I will definitely use them again in the future and will be telling all of my family and friends to do the same. Oh, and before the comment is made, I am not a friend of the family, an employee or someone else looking to make a false review. I am a genuinely satisfied customer who only visited this garage for the first time last week. Don't believe the negative reviews. Go for yourself and see their cars as well as speak to these people.
