After seeing a low mileage Volvo at John Kilkenny, we decided to drive from York to Broxburn to purchase the car. So happy we did, they were an absolute pleasure to deal with, the whole process from start to finish was easy and professional. John was brilliant. The car was in fantastic condition and exactly as described, there was no problem with the trade in either, they gave me the price I was hoping for. We thoroughly enjoyed the drive home in our new car. All in all I can’t recommend John Kilkenny Cars. highly enough. It was well worth the journey.

PLEASE do not buy anything from this liar. He is happy to sell potentially dangerous vehicles with no conscience. I'm informed the main leasing companies get the best cars from auction and he buys the dregs. He'll say they're serviced and MOTd and be so nice until you have problems, which you will. Be safe, buy a car elsewhere.

Excellent seller. Very easy to deal with. John kept us informed and up to date throughout the process of buying our car. Very pleasant no problems whatsoever. Highly recommended. Straight and honest to deal with did exactly what we asked and very quickly, car we bought was very well presented and miles ahead of others we looked at.

I bought a volvo c70 during lockdown for my wife. The car was brought to my house in Sunderland. I took the car for a quick test drive which I thought had a couple of rattles. When I asked him about it he said it was the collapsible roof they all did that. I bought the car then after a couple of days there was a rumble from a front wheel bearing so I contacted him and he said it was a common fault and that I should get it done under the warranty. I was looking through the service history which to me looks dodgy I phoned him to ask when the timing belt and water pump were done he couldn't give me a straight answer but said leave it with me and I will find out. Still waiting for proof after a month he ignores my e - mails and phone calls. Do not trust this lying little man

Find it strange that the cars are priced higher in the forecourt than on auto trader. Seems a bit dodgy tbh

Bought a Ford Focus St from Kilkenny cars nothing but issues with it! When papers were signed he then proceeded to tell me there was a fault with fuel rail sensor, said he would get the spare key,Ariel and fix the arches as paint showed bubbling. Firstly said he would get his painter to fix it when he can back from holiday. Didn’t happen then lied about it car then lost all electrical power and shut down Found that the battery loom was rubbed bare to the core ball joints on car were loose and needed replaced car had a fresh mot when I collected it. Then someone on a ford forum messaged me saying that he bought the car just before I did told me he had nothing but issues with it and returned the car this was after the exhaust fell to bits warning lamps on and car wouldn’t run properly John Killkenny replaces the exhaust with the wrong system one from a s-max and not the correct system for an ST, Never sent the log book like he said he would I had to apply for it from the DVLA, I have had all issues repaired and all issues rectified even the off side wing which was full of body filler because of a huge rust hole in it I went through the finance company to help but mostly I repaired all the issues as I lost all trust with Killkenny because of all the lies that fell out of his mouth
