Only 2nd car I've bought and Just a great experience from start to finish,no hard sell and very knowledgeable,after sales side also very good,sorted one small problem out straight away ,would give John Kilkenny 6 stars if it was possible.

Purchased a car a few years ago, John Kilkenny Cars tried to hide defects and told a number of lies. After care was not existent and requests ignored.

I was looking for a cheap runabout up to 3000 pounds. Having searched on line and looked at a lot of cars on line I was now tired of turning up to garages and finding that the pictures and descriptions did not match the cars. Johns garage was the only one that matched what the description online said. Bought a 9 year old car with service history. A minor problem happened 4 weeks after purchase. Spoke to John and he said take it in straight away and he would fix it immediately at no cost to me. I nearly fell off my seat (this is not what used car salesmen do). He fixed car and now it drives perfectly. No issues. Yes I would recommend him for service.

Through previous painful - and costly - experiences buying a used car I've learned that unless you know a private seller personally avoid them like the plague. After sifting through the adverts in Autotrader we selected John Kilkenny Cars as the most suitable as they had a few cars that fitted the bill. After making contact all went very smoothly. After choosing the car she liked best my granddaughter had a test drive and decided, after re-checking it's body work etc. to go for it. John was extremely helpful and pleasant throughout the whole process and had the car ready for us to pick up on the Saturday, all freshly Mot'd, serviced and spruced up. All this had taken less than 48 hours. Granddaughter has now made her first journey in it to Dundee, and we can relax in the knowledge that she's driving a car that's been well checked out, is AA covered for one year and guaranteed for 6 months. The price point was great value for money and after the gr3at car in purchased last time I had no quibble about making a purchase today. I had initially intended to buy a different car, but it had already been sold. Saw another and though it was out with my price range, John offered a great deal on it. Buying process straightforward and without hassle. Vehicle ready within 2 days and John delivered by it to my work, as I had difficulties with picking it up. Very good, friendly and personal service.

Please be cautious in buying a car from this dealer the owner is a very smooth talker and tells you what you want to hear, needless to say the car broke down with a major gearbox fault within a month of purchasing it and we could not get the owner to respond to us, we have now learned from contacting the previous owner of the car that the reason they sold the car to we buy any c.. Was the gearbox issue for 3 thousand pounds less than we paid for it. And all they did was put a sealant mix to task the fault. Karma is all I can say and obviously trading standards.
