"Shocking Service from MB Collindale"

I arranged to see a car with MB Collindale, which they confirmed the car was available a total of 4 times, over email and phone. I took the afternoon of work and travelled over an hour see the car, as arranged. When I arrived they even confirmed it was being made ready by the workshop, only then to tell me 20 mins later that the car is longer available as a staff member reserved it that morning. If the car was reserved, why then are MB Collindale arranging an appointment with me to see it ? A complete cock up on their part you would say, but its not how they saw it. Speaking to both the salesman and the manager, apparently it was my fault for not reserving it. Unbelievable! Suffice to say, I will not be using MB Collindale again!

Since purchasing my car, I have always relied on Mercedes in Colindale for all my needs. However, their service has consistently been disappointing. I constantly have to follow up with them to get updates on my car, and during my last visit for an MOT, I was deeply upset. It was a rainy day and when I went to collect my car, I found it wet inside with no protective measures taken. Additionally, they had disconnected my traffic camera and failed to reconnect it after the service. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until a few days later when I had to pick up my dad. This situation could have put me at risk in the event of an accident, as I wouldn't have been able to provide any evidence with my traffic camera turned off. Furthermore, when I called my advisor to inquire about the total cost of the service, as I was unsure if I would be able to collect the car myself, I was given a price over the phone which turned out to be an additional £100. When I questioned some of the charges on my receipt, my advisor couldn't provide a satisfactory explanation and had to seek clarification from the office. Clearly, their prices do not align with the level of service they provide.

After reading the reviews on this dealer, I was a bit apprehensive about buying a car from them. I live over 100 miles away from the dealer, so requested a detailed video howing any scuffs or stone chips etc before travelling that distance. Hasnat sent the video straight away, but it wasn't detailed as requested. After speaking to Hasnat, he assured me this was because he couldn't find any. I travelled the 100 mile journey, and wasn't disappointed, the car was immaculate. I did the deal there and then, and put a deposit down. I returned the following day to pick up the vehicle, and it had been cleaned (again) inside and out. Hasnat asked me to look over the car again to make sure I was happy before the hand over. Thank you Hasnat for an easy and pleasant transaction. Oh and by the way, I love the new car, exactly what I was looking for.

Dont buy your car here unless you wanna spend 3 months chasing them up for issues that were concealed when purchasing the car, absolute nightmare to deal with, elusive team members and very difficult to organise an appointment to fix things with. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! They will only be responsive and helpful when selling you the car, and ask for a good review which you give, and suddenly they avoid your calls and emails when you need problems fixed

As always this branch has been the best in all my after sales services that I’ve received since I bought my car in 2018. They have been excellent and helpful in trying to accommodate all my needs. Especially now in my last visit I had a lot of complications and issues in my private life and my case handler (Chemaine) took all that into consideration and delivered an exceptional customer support and customer service I can’t thank her enough and if possible in my future visit I would love to be able to deal with her again. All the very best to you all team and keep up the amazing work and level of service as expected from Mercedes Benz.

I have had to repost this review again as it was deleted by Mercedes Colindale. Not even worth 1 Star and do not understand how this dealer ship is managed. Before you forward me the email of the branch manager, I have already emailed him (Dean) the full email trail of my complaint. I booked my car (about 22000 miles done) as I am on service plan and this is the third/fourth service at Mercedes. The tyre pressures were reduced whilst in service as I received notification on My Mercedes app. They tried to get further money for parts that did not require changing as well. See the last email sent to the after sales manager who has taken this matter lightly and chose to ignore the complaint, never investigating this thoroughly. Good Morning James, Thank you for your reply. I still await a written explanation to our discussion regarding the tyre pressures and your response yesterday on the phone. Please provide copy of recording of our phone call in case this issue needs to be escalated further as I have explained to you that your reasoning is not acceptable as it can not be an error since both tyres had been deflated to 195kPa (which is not the recommended pressures of the A200) and the pressure not filled back when the car was collected. As explained, you also did not know about the other issues I had raised before our phone conversation even though I had asked all the issues be looked into before you spoke to me. With regards to the phone call recording provided, you have also have had a chance to listen too. Following is what I have picked up and correct me if my understand is wrong so we can have this investigated: 1)Pads - MOT Failure, but you still have about about 1000 miles? I am sure, being a Mercedes dealership manager, you are intelligent enough to understand what this means. I await your reply. 2) Discs - Preety Badly Worn but you still have about you still have about 1000 miles? I am sure, being a dealership manager, you are intelligent enough to understand what this means and to a customer it would mean critial. I await your reply. 3) Hard Pressed to get the pads and discs done the same afternoon or Friday. I'm I wrong in saying and considering the above point, this was a pressure tactic for a customer to get the pads and discs changed by putting them in a worrying situation when there was no need for this to be changed? 4) Cost would be just over £1000 but can get it done around £950 (price quoted on VHC is around £873) . Again, by offering a discount, you would agree that this price was initially inflated and a discount offered is another pressure tactic for a customer to get the pads and discs changed by offering to get this done at reduced price when there was no need to get this changed? I can not see how you will not be in a position to agree that things have gone wrong and unnecessary sales tactics have been used to get more money out of a customer when there was no need to carry out the changes. If you are not in position to answer the above or provide a solution to put things right, I ask again that you provide me with the email address of the CEO of Sytner (which I will be able to easily find if you do not provide this) as I strongly feel that the above issues need to be brought to the attention of Mercedes UK & Germany as I may not be the only customer that has faced such an issue. I await your reply by end of business day Friday 1 Dec. 2023.

I bought a verified used car from Colindale Mercedes in 2018 by paying a premium. I trusted the brand and their checks. 5 years later, when I tried to sell the car, it was found out that there were multiple mileage discrepancies before 2018. I contacted them more than 3 months ago and still waiting for a resolution. They are just ignoring and wasting my time. I am stuck with the car as I am not able to sell it because of mileage discrepancy. I truly regret trusting them :(
