My situation is on going basically purchased a car which I drove home and is now parked up as its faulty. No regard for the consumer act 2015 or his customers. Please believe what you read. Keep your money and spend it with a reputable company with a good track record.

"The Worst Car Dealership I’ve used! "

The worst place I’ve ever had the displeasure of buying from. At first they really will come across as friendly and helpful, it does “feel” like a good experience to start with. You then realise, not long after handing the money over that they couldn’t care less about you the customer. James, the supposed owner or businessman, neither of which he can actually do effectively. Is a manipulative piece of work who doesn’t actually seem to know much about cars or even the car trade in general for that matter. Then con man has scammed people and myself out of their money for cars, servicing, repairs that don’t get done. He allows cars to be brought in. Left there to be fixed and picked up with even being touched! His own mechanics leave on a regular basis and his staff turn over is the worst if ever experienced in a company, I wonder why that is. He in fact had 2 employment tribunals last year alone… one was dismissed due to the lad not working there long enough fo it to Apply - shame. And the other the claimant (not James) actually won the claim against James. As far as I know, James hasn’t payed up. No surprise there, he does always seem quite desperate for money. The have stolen items from cars in the past and nothing has been done to try and rectify the situation. I have multiple cases opened with trading standards who are looking into things however their backlog is meaning a long wait for anything to come to fruition. I’m also in talks with the FCA authority putting together evidence of the selling unaffordable finance agreements without due diligence. I’ll hope to post more on here so you all and James can keep up to date! If you are reading these comments though #24 out of only #24 in the whole of bourton should be screaming at you right now. It’s just not worth the hassle when so many better dealerships are out there! Don’t let yourself be scammed! Don’t buy from MSP or James! They are voted the worst dealership in bourton - and they really really are!

My brother got a car from this company for £7000 one of the worst experiences he’s ever had we’ve had nothing but trouble The day we picked the car up the clutch went he then sent us home in another car of theirs and 5 miles down the road that broke down then he made the excuse he had no more cars so he give us a van which was a transit bREAKDOWN Truck with bold tires after him having the car for five months making every excuse going to say he was waiting for the parts due to Covid thanks Jim We have now got rid of the car Because it’s never been right since we had it back thanks to Jim again

Hi Paul, You purchased the vehicle back in 2020. Like normal, each story isn't exactly what it seems. You asked for a van as you required the vehicle for work and your workman. We then bought a second courtesy vehicle to your house in Manchester to swap it with the van. In regards to the vehicle you purchased, we replaced the clutch, flywheel and also replaced the timing chain all Free of Charge. We have spoken to you numerous times over the past 2 years, with you enquiring on other vehicles we had for sale. Not within any of these recent conversations did you raise a complaint. So it is surprising your brother now states this. Please get in contact with ourselves directly if you have a concern. Regards.

That’s not True Jim we paid for the vehicle in full as soon as we got in it and drove it to the petrol station which is about 20 yards and the clutch went. you gave him a car which 10 Miles down the road it overheated you sent somebody out with your breakdown truck and told us to take that home Tell we fix yours but that wasn’t the case was it Jim you’ve told us nothing but lies on the phone but it was different when I came down after lying on the phone again saying it was been worked on as we speak but that wasn’t the case again was it jim because it was still left in the same place you didn’t know what to say to me did you jim. And I did ask for a refund and you wouldn’t give me one. I was going to get the bailiffs involved to recover the money but paul stop me I’m only saying it as it was. But never again Will we ever buy again of you

There is always 2 sides to a story James Diffey… The customers side telling the truth ( no One spend their time on a review site to lie about an experience you absolute idiot. ) And the James Diffey’s side… the lying scamming totally untruthful side… all the reviews on here peak for themselves, you’re digging your self a bigger hole lying and the looking even less reliable!

I have put a review about this company & I know exactly where your coming from .James is nothing but a liar I’m still waiting for a refund for a car from March .He is nothing but a compulsive liar & has told me numerous times that the money is going into my bank account ,also sent me fake documents to try & proof the transaction is going through. Don’t trust anything he says !!

On the 28th November 2019, I left a deposit for a Ford Focus because I had every intention of buying this but also had the promise that this deposit I was leaving to ‘reserve’ the car, was 100% refundable. Unfortunately my situation changed and I couldn’t purchase the car, so I requested the deposit back, which was £200. This was NEVER seen. I thought it was suspect when rather than just sending it back, they said they would help out with some other costs etc. Please remember this was back in 2019!! Absolutely gutted and disgusted at the same time. I pray that no one leaves another deposit with them with the promise that it’s refundable; because it CERTAINLY is not. Completely gutted

He is struggling money wise, so probably didn’t even have the cash to give it back to you! Absolutely horrendous isnt it! I’ve had my issues which are being taken further now. But this scammer needs to be shut down very soon! I can tell why he has no cash with a“business” like this but I can’t believe he is still just about crawling!

Extremely disappointed. No words. Almost didn't get the car that I'd paid for, after being fobbed off constantly and left without a car for ages. All promises were broken. Car received in a state, which will cost lots to fix. DONT USE!

Good evening Lauren, I will give the other side to the purchase. Upon initial enquiry we sent you many extras photos and a personalised video walk around, showing the full condition of the 8 year old vehicle and highlighting any chips & marks. We agreed to have some scratches & chips repaired for you free of charge. We serviced the car for you free of charge and had it MOT’ed independently free of charge. Since leaving your initial deposit you would call us 5-7 times a day asking for progress updates. We upgraded your warranty from 6 months to 12 months free of charge and further discounted the vehicle by over £200! We delivered the vehicle free of charge and included a tank of petrol. We even paid for your taxi fare for multiple days before the vehicle was delivered. Since delivery you have stated about 2 items, the first being your brand new mats (which we included free of charge) didn’t fit perfectly and secondly that you couldn’t work out how to open the fuse box within the glove box. For you to say we have been unhelpful and not assistive is wholly untrue. Regards, MSP

I bought a ford s max from these guys. I needed something quick as my car had died. I wanted something with 7 seats and a big boot. I went to look at the car, it had obviously been sitting for a while but I don't think that's anything too uncommon following the pandemic. I put the deposit down and they said it might be a week or so so they could check it over and give it a fresh MOT. I explained I needed something quick as I was without a car temporarily so they gave me a courtesy car. A week later, I picked the car up, they had done a good few little bits (new back-box, rear mounts and a couple of other bits). After a week of driving around, I started to hear a slight clunk (I suspected a bushing or something), asked if they could take a look so I could book it in to get it fixed. This was on a Friday, they fit me in on Monday and just fixed it (near-side drop link) there and then for me. Considering that every other garage has a minimum of 2 weeks to get in at the minute in my area, I can tell that they went out of their way for me a valued customer. On top of that, although obviously incredibly busy, they never once made me feel like I was inconveniencing them or anything. Really friendly and chatty. Would 100% recommend but again, they are visibly busy. I'd say don't mistake them going out of their way for you as being incapable, they're probably just trying to go the extra mile for loads of people at the same time.

Seen a car on eBay and gave the guys a call, they sent me a video which was great and promised to service and mot it for us, that was all done and we picked up the new car over the weekend Kevin & James was great and went the extra mile and even picked us up from the train station!! Thanks guys and thanks for the brew !!!

To confirm again, as I have in my previous statement: You had as much of an opportunity to reserve the vehicle, it was You & Only You who decided not to do this (Albeit you stated multiple times you were going to reserve it). Left £200 over the phone, they had seen my car and agreed a px, before I was due to collect the one I had bought, mine had big problems mechanically. They said they would not honour the original deal,cwhich I understood, but wouldn't give me my deposit back either. I live locally and no one has a good word to say about them.

Hi, Each and every story has two sides. To explain in more detail to what happened: You came down to view a Ford Mondeo, you inspected the car (by yourself), you agreed you wanted to purchase the vehicle but wanted the rear bumper painting. A few days later you informed us that your BMW (the part exchange) had suffered serious faults, we explained we couldn't honour the same value as the car would require a lot of work. You stated numerous times (via phone, text & email, which we have proof of all) that you weren't happy that we wouldn't offer the same value. You even stated that you wish you had never told us about the issues and just bought the car down to us and "let us deal with the issues afterwards". You then stated you wanted to cancel the deal as we wouldn't stick to our original offer for your vehicle (again we have this on email & text, for proof). We stated you would be welcome to cancel the purchase but as you had viewed the vehicle in person and had asked us to complete paintwork your deposit would be non-refundable. We never once changed the original deal/agreement, it was only yourself who tried to do this. Everything I have stated above we have in emails & texts to yourself. Regards, MSP.

Contrary to other reviews on here i picked up my new Mazda Cx-5 at the start of September and received really good service. The part ex offered was better than other dealers. Mot’ed and serviced it included in the price. So far so good, overall the mrs and me and happy.
