I'd be very careful buying from this garage .. My husband and I bought a car from this garage just after lockdown. We noticed from the day of test driving it that it was smoking from the rear brakes ..long story short there was no room for movement on the cost of the car we were told, however we took the word of this "trusted family garage" as we were told that the car just needed to be driven having been sat for 3 months and the brakes are just sticking. We did however buy the extended warranty which was on offer and would cover the brakes if it was an issue 'apparently' which I now believe is a pile of missold rubbish as we have never received this warranty and have called multiple times to chase it up. Apparently they can't touch the car as it might void the warranty lol but we bought the warranty through the garage. We have now taken the car to a different garage now to be told that the brakes are actually seized and that it needs new brakes and calipers which is now costing us 1100 quid out of our own pocket. We have had this car since June by the way .. 5 months later, no help and no warranty through, if by some miracle we do ever receive the warranty through we have already lost 5 months use of it so absolute waste of money ! This garage is all just about money making, appalling aftercare customer service.

what a nasty review ? Your warranty is all live and registered and the email of confirmation sent on the 13.7.2020! We are family business and it not just about making money? But we try and make some? Generally some car brakes stick when they are stood still but normally are fine when back in use,this is the 1st I've heard of your fault? I'm sorry its happened but I totally disagree with your comments but thank you, not sure about the cost tho seems expensive?

ps check your e mails and yes the car had been parked up for 3 mths so we did presume maybe thats why? But you have not ever told up that it was still similar? We can't help if we don't no?

Hi Christian Thank you for reply. I don't think this was a nasty review ,I feel it is an honest review and sorry if it upsets you. I have got my husband to call more than once so when you say you are unaware of the fault I disagree,maybe you personally might be unaware but someone at your garage knows. I believe in local businesses matter and I've always known local companies to look after their customers and potential future customers hence why we don't go to corporate car dealers but at this point we feel we might as well have. Yes 1100 sounds very costly but because the breaks have been sticking it has caused other problems hence the nice expensive fix up ,possibly had the breaks been fixed when the problem first arised it might not have been so costly. It isn't hard for who ever we spoke to just pick up the phone and call to see if our issue was resolved or if we had our warranty through, a bit of common courtesy goes a long way to most customers. We honestly haven't had any email through regarding our warranty still. It's frustrating calling multiple times and getting nowhere hence giving up bothering to call that once more and resulting in me posting this unhappy and dissatisfied review. I will be happy to change my review if someone would call or email and we can resolve this all?

I rang 4 times today ? You definitely had the email you can check with the warranty company? And i asked all our staff here only 3 of us and we have not been contacted about this fault ? If you don't think ur review was nasty , god help a nasty 1 then? We are a family business who go above and beyond 2 help people but we can't if i dont no about it? We have been shut this year for a total of 14 weeks and stuff like this dont help? Thanx again 4 the nonsense review

Why does it always have to get nasty before anyone responds. I don't want to be on here leaving nonsense reviews. I would much prefer to be a happy customer enjoying our family car without the hassle. If you can tell me who the warranty is with, I will be happy to call up and find out because as I said previously I'm sorry but we haven't had any email so unless there is a misunderstanding there then I do not know as had I had the warranty to sort the car out I obviously wouldn't be on here leaving an unhappy review ?

Wow... have never ever experienced customer service like it. The way Christian spoke to me was like dirt on the bottom of his shoe. We went to look at DS3 for my daughter, my daughter has saved hard for this car and really wanted to purchase it, when asked for a deal his response was short and sweet ‘price is the price, take it or leave it!’ And walked off into his office not to be seen again. Safe to say we left promptly... I think he needs to learn the skills of negotiation. Absolute amateur.

at the moment cars are making top money and we are getting screen prices all the time since being back from covid? I've been selling cars 4 30yrs and generally doin ok? Sorry if you dident like my answer but I was being onest i generally treat all customers the same as I would like to be treated? Infact I cant seem to remember this sorry ? Can you remind me when and what car? Over the last 7 week we have sold over 65 cars?

was after a hyaundai ix35 for the last few mths was chuffed to find 1 at monkswood garage this month, great people to deal would definitely recommend them
