Disgraceful Customer Service. My Boyfriend and I traded a car in at the end of April for a Skoda Fabia. We were informed that it had had a full service. However whilst driving it back to Cumbria, the car developed a fault. Throughout the three months of warranty we had numerous problems with the car. During the last month of warranty the gear box became problematic. As a result we lost third gear all together. When we spoke to SM Car Sales, they said they would fix the Gear Box with no charge. However we are now two months down the line and they have booked it in on numerous occasions, but then contacted us to cancel. It was booked in for tomorrow morning, we explained we would have to drop it off this afternoon due to work commitments. They said that would be fine and they would have a courtesy car ready for us. However we got there after nearly a two hour drive for them to inform us that they did not have a courtesy car. Not only did they not have a courtesy car, they didn't even have in written in the diary. We have felt that they have no interest in their customers once they have purchased a car. As we are at a loss both financially and not having a fully working car that is safe to drive, we are taking SM Car Sales, Lancaster to court. We have been fobbed off that many times, we are getting no where, we are just going round in circles. We will definitely not be buying or selling any more cars with SM Car Sales in Lancaster.
