Do not contact Stoneacre Peterborough unless you will actually purchase from them. They have not left me alone after enquiring from them early June. Even after I have asked them to stop as I am no longer interested in the vehicle I’m still receiving calls daily calls from their head office (even after they’ve said that they’ve removed my number from their contacts). I didn’t even view a car from there and I’m sure they’re a good company but are just annoying.

i am absolutely disgusted in the service and cars I have received from stoneacre Peterborough Newark road branch. I have purchased 3 cars from them within the past two years. Two cars which are not trustworthy cars. my first car was a fiat 500 which was absolutely brilliant car only reason for me having to change as it wasn’t big enough with expecting a baby to which I was gutted I had to change cars. To which I was then given a Vauxhall Corsa to which all seemed well until two months of having it the turbo blew up while having a young baby in the car with me. to which I then had to call a recovery to take me to Peterborough which is 59 mile trip each way. to which point I had said that I no longer wanted that car as it was not trustworthy. told by the guy on the reception “ so what you are abandoning your car?” To which I then replied no... I’d like a car which is going to be reliable and trustworthy with a baby who is very young only a few months old I was scared of driving it due to the experience I have had in it. To which the same day I sat and waited the whole day approximately 5-6 + hours for them to find me another car. to which I didn’t have a lot of choice as I only had £5,000 to spend apparently. so I ended up with a Ford Fiesta- wasn’t out of choice it was the only car they could get hold of straight away. now I’ve had this Ford Fiesta 6 months and the car have already had to go back to Peterborough two times with my baby it tow. once for a diesel leak not even 6 weeks after purchasing the car and then about two months later with a coil suspension snap. I have called stoneacre again yesterday as I have now got more problems with the same car. so within 6 months I’ve had nothing but disappointment from the car and the stoneacre branch. this time the problem is it needs an oil change, my driver side seat belt won’t pull back and the breaks don’t feel right.. so when I spoke to the lady on reception yesterday I was told that the manager would call me today first thing this morning. had no call back, so I called myself again at lunch time today saying that I would get a call back soon as possible. To which now it is 3pm and still no call back and I’m just getting fobbed off. so I called back once again to get put on hold and told that I will have to call back on Monday to sort the matter out. I am not only paying well over the odds for a car that is not worth it. so my car was purchased for £495,00 and I am paying back £12,300 which is absolutely disgusting as they are putting money on it because the car was returned due to the turbo blowing up after two months of having it. I am absolutely disgusted in Peterborough Newark road and the customer service and ignorance I am receiving from the sales manager. I will be taking matters further to trading standards and reporting this to watchdog.

Found them to be pretty helpful, dealt with Troy he is very polite and nice to deal with. Found the car I wanted at one of their branches up north, they went and got the car for me so I could have a look and test drive, I love the car it is just what I wanted.

I would laugh out loud if it wasn't so bad. Pre- booked a test drive with this company. As we had called in person to make the booking, salesman on the day said he would be on a day off and introduced us to a colleague he said would take care of us. He was friendly and polite. Arrived bang on time on the day and was kept waiting for a considerable time to be told the salesman we had been booked in with was now busy with another Customer and so would have to be taken on the test by another colleague. This Salesman was intrusive and overbearing to say the least. He sounded desperate and every car we looked at told us that it suited us. He tried to dissuade us from test driving the model we had gone to see. He His approach could best be described as 'flip-floppy'. We had booked to drive two models but had second thoughts following his 'killer' question. 'Are you paying by cash or finance?' When I said 'cash' I was astounded at his response. His voice dropped as it reverberated 'oh, he sighed... On a budget then?' How dare he make such assumptions about my finances? The irony, surely needing finance would suggest a tighter budget than being able to pay outright? Not in the topsy turvey world with "right" being the new 'wrong.' I have never felt so insulted in a showroom as I did by this man. His assumptive arrogance was breathtaking. I get it. His bonus would not be as lucrative with a cash buyer. He tried to put us off looking at more expensive cars telling me it would be cheaper if I looked at models. I stared in disbelief. 'Its not about the money..." I said. He offered to show us the second vehicle and asked if we minded driving a second hand one. This told us how valued we were to them as new customers and what they thought of us. Needless to say, we cut the visit short and decided not to waste anymore of our time or His. The sweetest irony, we were there to buy two cars not one! Will now be taking our real money to another dealership big enough to accommodate cash customers.

Stoneacre Peterborough were overly helpful in order to get a sale, and made all the right noises....until I had an issue. Car came with manual and service record missing when I collected. I was assured that they would sort it out and send the documents on to me.....that didn't happen! After countless ignored emails and phone calls I was told I would have to wait until they got another car the same as mine in and that they would then take the documents from that car to send to me....hardly professional! This however didn't happen and I was forced to visit the branch over and over again. Finally, after nearly 10 months after purchasing my car I received what was missing, no apology, and a manager that was conveniently "not available" when I asked to speak to him. They are very good at making the right noises....until they have your money, and then thy just don't seem bothered! Would NOT recommend this Stoneacre branch in Peterborough on Newark Road to anyone! Awful experience!
