Very straight forward and looked after superbly. Nothing too much trouble. And car is brilliant. Definitely buy from Canfield Garage again.
It's very easy to sell cars where they are presented beautifully and there is an initial friendly experience. What differentiates the good, moral, trusty business from the opposite is what they're like when things go wrong. There were some issues to be resolved on my car after getting it home from the garage. Regrettably Canfield did not do much at all to remedy that, only offering to look at it and repair things if I returned the car. Living around 100 miles away I suggested I could return the car in my own time and expense but would need a courtesy car whilst it was looked at and put right. I thought there may be an offer to have the car brought back at their time and expense as in other reviews but this didn't happen. And they weren't prepared to offer a car I could drive (just an automatic) despite having quite a few in their garage. Other issues were rubbished and they took the offensive. This involved the part exchange "deal", the service history, oil problems, brake issues, water temperature problems and the MOT. The whole experience is made worse by the fact that they turned things round to suggest I was at fault and they had done all they could. They might reply to this and come up with their version of events. It's easy to do that. But I'm not unreasonable and believe in principles. I have had the car repaired and made good at a local business and feel better about that (despite the cost). So, just check everything before you buy and get it all in writing. Check service history carefully in line with manufacturer requirements, check the cars own service requirements from the onboard system, check the figures in the contract, check the dates on the MOT and ensure all equipment (like mats and the pump/liquid for tyre repairs are all there. Clarify what happens if things go wrong and report everything (good or bad) so that others can see. Hope this is helpful.

Unfortunately i am unable to respond as i would wish as the review is not specific in any way, there is no name, no reg number, no make and model so i am not even sure if this is a genuine review as i do not recall any such issues with a car. If there was a genuine issue i'm sure i would have been contacted by yourself.
Worst garage I ever been to bought vauxhall zafira 4 years ago it spent first year and half in garage every time I tried to get them to sort it out they just made up excuses.it didn't come with service book which Gary blamed mechanic for losing no car jack which after 2wks they took one of another zafira to shut me up engine management light come on less then a wk after buying when I asked for money back he refused saying I would have to pay for work on the car I part exchanged with him which he already sold luckily my local garage looked at car and got all problems sorted but I would not recommend these to my worst enemy now I see he trading under kiteley motors in Stansted.
I bought a BMW Z4 Sport from Canfield Garage back in April and I was very impressed with the service I received! I would really recommend them. The sales team are really professional and knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and were very friendly. The car is perfect and I have had no issues with it at all up to now!

My wife and I went on recommendation from a friend who bought a car from them. When we arrived we were greeted almost immediately but left alone to look, we had seen an Audi on the net and asked to look inside it, we were given the keys and left to look around the car without being pestered which made a change, we asked for a test drive which was not a problem even though the car was buried at the back of the showroom the guys were happy to dig it out if we were serious. When we returned we asked about our part exchange, they seemed happy to work out a price for us. Although not as much as we would have liked it compared OK with other prices we had been given, after looking through the paperwork and a little more discussion we agreed a deal but said we would like the car within a couple of days, although this was a tight schedule we were not disappointed with the result and i couldn't believe the speed they had done the work including a bumper scuff repair and all wheels refurbished i was even shown around the body shop and preparation areas When we came to collect the car we were looked after as well as we had been when we had first arrived. We have had the car for a few weeks now and would not hesitate to recommend the Canfield Garage to anyone else, they have changed my view on "used car dealers" !! I have read a few other reviews on them which were not very positive and feel they do not reflect them honestly we certainly couldn't see any negatives with them what so ever

I bought a BMW 116i (2012) recently and I am very pleased with the car. I felt the price was fair and I have had no problems with the car whatsoever. I was pleased with the offer of an AA warranty for peace of mind.
