I bought a car here a few months ago. I believe there are issues with them being off site some of the time, but it did say on the websit to call before leaving. I would suggest you do this. I just waited a while until one of them returned, but it can be hit and miss. Turns out the car I bought was fine other than a rushed respray that the car had received (I'm yet to discover why..) which is now peeling. Now I cannot be sure that the dealership was aware of this but it does pay to look at EVERYTHING carefully and test drive the car with fault finding in mind. The issues with the car were fixed hassle free, as the garage pays a third party garage to fix all faults, which you do yourself, but the garage they use wouldn't be my choice.
Just bought a Honda CRV from Cranfield. High spec., low milage, great condition and reasonable price. I received a fair trade-in price for the old car. All in all a good deal for both of us. In 50 years of buying and selling cars this has been amongst the best I've experienced, no pressure salemanship, no over or under selling, everything layed out up front, just a fair deal with margins we were both happy with. I've read some of the reviews on here and don't recognise either the Garage nor the behaviour described. Matt and Garry are both professional and reasonable and I would recommend Cranfield Garage.
My wife and i purchased a BMW Convertible from your garage we found you both helpful and professional and exceeded our expectations When we picked up the car there was no spare key however this was quickly resolved and a new key from the local BMW dealer was ordered there and then free of charged Very impressed and will be recommending you to colleagues and friends

Buyers be aware of this seller, I had a very bad experience with them when purchasing Mercedes E class for nearly £8000. Problems started straight away when I picked up my car from the garage,Matt and Gary gave me MOT certificate unfortunately the car lights were adjusted to the sky, different tyre rates on each side, the rear left tyre was not even legal to drive, break parts completely gone (no idea how the car passed MOT with issues like those) the car was jumping each time it was stopped, I rang Gary he said all cars do the same thing, went to the local workshop to change all four tyres,to adjust the lights, to replace the breaks and change the gear box oil which sorted the car jumping problem straight away. For all of these jobs I paid from my own pocket. Later on appeared the main issue, car lost it's power, I took the car back to Canfield garage as it was still on warranty, Gary promised to sort the problem in 3 days. Unfortunately, Gary and Matt kept on telling me they are still waiting for a part to arrive which was the turbo charger activator which was coming from Lithuania and that took nearly 3 weeks, they kept on lying that someone was working on the car, another time they said that they are still waiting for the car part to be delivered. They told me if I will take the car to the Mercedes dealer they will not pay, if I'm going to go to an independent garage they will pay for part but not the labour. Gary on the phone promised me £300, when I arrived he gave me a cheque for £250. He kept on blaming his mechanic Paul for a very slow service and when I spoke to Paul, Paul blamed Gary, he told me he does everything what Gary tells him to do. Turbo activator does not sell separately it comes together with turbo which costs over £1000 without labour. When the car broke down I asked for recovery they said I have to pay extra also there was no car replacement for 3 weeks, there was no service history book provided even though they said it was available ,intel port shut off motor broke down also the car had some suspension problems as well and they refused to give me back my refund. Buyers be very careful with these sellers, I found them very unfair and unhelpful, wouldn't recommend for anyone, once they have your money, they don't want to know about any problems. This is the worst car I have ever bought and worst people I have ever dealt with.

My family had a brilliant, experience at Canfield Car Dealers.. My son was looking for a Honda Civic Type R. We spoke to Matt and David. Who asked to ring when on our way, and comunicated back to us. As we appreciated many people break arrangements. I have to say Matt is both knowledgeable giving sound advice /information. We found Matt helpful, and honest and dedicated. We felt extreamly welcomed. We booked an appointment and Matt arranged for us to be collected it felt definitely a tailored service. Dave turned up in the Honda Civic.. It was all my son had anticipated. It was spotless and stunning. . I was in for a treat a grand prix experience. My nephew was just saying "wow!"..thoughout the experience.. ( Obviously within speed limits) we were Well impressed....the Type r was as described. Out. on the open road we were very impressed how the car handled the road. My son gave it the heads up. When we arrived at the show room. While they went on a test drive I got a guided tour "mmm" you can be spoilt for choice the show room is so impressive huge collection from luxury high end, classic and collectors to little runaround. I found the prices reasonable good for all pockets. I broused , defiantly felt that we were in charge of our choice. Matt gave a huge discount we paid a decent fair price. Even allowed us to leave a huge deposit to secure it. We would rank Canfield Car Dealers as top class, and "yes" we are singing high praises for friendly high standards.. After the sale Matt was so kind as to drive ahead of us to make sure we were on the right way back in to London. Matt I'm ever late, it just other people are early (smile!) "Thank you so much". My family feel so comfortable buying with peace of mind from your company. We definitely with out hesitation would recommend Canfield Car Dealers felt looked after and blessed by you help and fairness. My two daughters are next to visit. Honestly I can not fault the care and and smoooth service we received. This is a true reflection of our experience.

Very unprofessional, don’t waste your time with this Garage. I arranged to view a car a few weeks back with Canfield Garage. I confirmed a date and time with the owner and even gave him a courtesy call to advise I was on my way and to check the car was still in stock, as I was travelling over 90 miles I didn't want to be disappointed. Upon my arrival at the agreed date and time i was dismayed to find a garage closed. I phoned both the mobile and land line numbers provided on their website to no avail. Somewhat perplexed I decided to ask the local business in the industrial park if they knew where the garage owners were or if they had alternate contact details for them. The answers were all the same, no idea where the garage owners were and this is a very common occurrence with this firm. As I was about to leave, an older couple arrived and asked me if I work for the garage, I told them I didn’t and asked if they were here to buy a car. Their response was quite disconcerting; apparently they had recently bought a car from this garage and it’s been no end of trouble for them. They advised the garage owners agreed to take a look at the car on three separate occasions, but each time the car was brought in for inspection. Guess what?? Shop shut.

I have personally checked CCTV footage to see if i could identify a time where nobody was at the dealership to help customers. Whilst i don't want to accuse anyone of fabricating their experience they should know that this is not what any customer should expect, however after checking the cctv system, telephone calls, neighbouring businesses, emails and appointment book i cannot find a time inside our opening hours when the dealership has been left unattended or indeed closed up as you state or in fact any of the scenarios you have stated in your review. If you are were in fact a genuine customer and feel as strongly as you do then you should have given us the opportunity to help you i feel our customer service is excellent and anyone who has genuinely bought cars from us or used our service department is completely satisfied with the high levels of service we provide.
