bought a car from this guy 6 weeks ago!The day we bought the car the engine management light came on and it went into limp mode, they stated that they had fixed the fault and then returned it. It was a faulty o2 sensor. Two days later the same issue appeared, again they assured me that it has definitely been rectified. We had the fault checked over by someone else and it turns out that the o2 sensors were never replaced in the first place, they had just been erasing the fault and returning the car. He agreed to a refund when I made him aware that we knew he was just conning us. We have had to fight everyday for weeks to get him to collect the vehicle and issue us with a refund. He dragged his feet, having the cheek to complain that he's been left out of pocket for the money it cost him to recover the car. For 6 weeks we have had to pay out insurance and tax on a car that has been out of action because him and his dodgy mechanic Steve just kept clearing the fault code and returning the car to us. He never gave us an invoice or proof of parts that were changed when asked (because no parts were changed) and his son also ran up a parking charge on the car on the day the ownership was transferred into my name. We have finally had a refund in full but it still doesn't erase the way we have been treated.

Heather After discounting the car for you to help with your low budget and delivering the car for free. Yes unfortunately it had a sensor issue. The vehicle was collected and diagnosed and rectified at no expense or inconvenience to you Car was delivered back to you again free of charge and unfortunately the sensor was faulty. I lost my mum during all this and remained in contact which idon't need to do. I have now paid to have the car recovered without costing you a penny and refunded you in full. How dare you call me a dodgy dealer? A little advice young lady. Save some more money and buy a car that is not a budget £2000 car. The service you have received is first class and wouldn't receive if you purchased a brand new car. Good job your partner has sense. Wish you all the bad luck in the world with your next cheap car purchase. Disgusting

Bought a car from Chris recently and what can I say- firstly it was such an accommodating, helpful and kind man. Really easy and no messing around. STRESS FREE! Highly recommend and in the future if I ever want to change my car, this is where I will be going!

Bought a diesel car from Chris in June and asked specifically for evidence that the timing belt had been replaced. I was assured it had been but when I got the log book there was just a written note beside a service stamp for a timing belt. I phoned the garage that was meant to have replaced it and they had never even seen the car let alone replaced the belt. I gave Chris the benefit of the doubt that it wasn’t him who had altered the log book and suggested we go halves to replace the timing belt. He insisted his own mechanic do the work so I paid my half. I then took the car to my mechanic to check that the work had been done and no, the timing belt still hadn’t been replaced. It’s been three months of back and forth with Chris and his mechanic who agrees a day to come and do the work and then doesn’t show up which has happened three times now without any notice after I’ve rearranged work or plans. And now Chris has said it is nothing to do with him despite it being at his instance that I use his mechanic. I’m sure Chris will have a response to this review, such as seeing a receipt for a timing belt kit that was never installed in my car so if anyone would like more info, photos etc. please email me at beckihj@hotmail.com and I’ll be happy to provide them, but my main suggestion would be not to buy a car from here.

Rebecca 4.2 out of 5 stars ⭐️ can not be a lie? I try my hardest to give complete customer satisfaction to which most of my customers receive. Yes the service book was stamped with timing belt a few years before I took the car in as a part exchange. A courtesy car was offered and received and an extended warranty was offered FOC for 12 months to compensate any confusion with the validity of the service book. A company I use for my repairs who I trust has carried out the timing belt change to my knowledge and it has been paid for by both of us. A receipt is available for the new parts ordered and paid for. All you need to do is speak to the business that carried out the repair which you have and met the business owner when he collected and delivered your car to not cause any inconvenience. I am not a repair centre only a sales business. I have tried everything to assure you the vehicle is fine to use with extended warranty, money back option etc. I think your expectations .are exaggerated for 13 year old £2500 vehicle . Speak to SL autos as you warranty on the timing belt is with his company not the selling dealer as it was fitted after purchase and was not part of the original sales agreement . Regards Chris

This guy went above and beyond when selling me my new VW Tiguan. Contacted Chris on a Monday and he was round the next day to show me the car. He gave me a reasonable price for a part ex. After finding an issue with a door, he picked up my new car and fixed it the next day. While fixing it, he gave me a courtesy car so I could still get to work. Really happy with my purchase and the brilliant customer service.
