CAR BROKE DOWN AFTER 8 DAYS - CASE NOT RESOLVED OVER 5 MONTHS LATER This company is an absolute joke. Do not use them under any circumstances. Terrible service. Absolute crooks who brazenly breach consumer rights. My partner and I purchased a vehicle from Trade Centre Coventry in early July, which broke down 8 days after purchase. I write this in December, having had nothing but problems with the vehicle and the extremely unhelpful Trade Centre staff. We returned the vehicle upon the first breakdown. The Trade Centre firstly refused to issue a refund, insisting they inspected the vehicle first. This took over 5 weeks, leaving us without transport with no offer of a courtesy car. In the meantime, we wrote to the Trade Centre head Office to lodge a formal complaint, which was ignored entirely by the company. They claimed they could not find a fault, again refused to refund us, and we took our faulty car home again after an extremely unhelpful conversion with the condescending branch manager, who like the rest of the staff we encountered, showed no compassion towards us or our situation. I note that on collection of the car, the waiting room was full of other people with broken down vehicles purchased from the Trade Centre. Between late August and mid-November, the car broke down on 3 further occasions, and so the car was returned to The Trade Centre a second time. They again refused to refund us, kept our vehicle for inspection a second time, and again claimed they couldn’t find the issue - despite us providing various reports from the AA to support our claim. They did however find some separate issues, which they so far refused to fix. They now expect me to collect and take home an unreliable car which clearly had a fault when we purchased it. Dealing with them has cost us so much time, stress, and money over the last 5 months, and we are still not closer to resolving the issue. I will be sure to provide an update with the resolution of this case, which I am sure at this point will end in court proceedings.

Brought a ford focus from here , it broke down after 2 days and had to go back for inspection , I’m still waiting for inspection now it’s been 2 weeks , I’ve been left with no car and refused my money back until the car inspected I took the car back on 29.10.23 and there saying it’s not going to be inspected until 5.12.23 which is an absolute joke. Not one phone call for an update and they never call you back when u leave ur number on the automated service Joke of a company

Has this now been resolved? I am asking because I brought a ford focus from small Heath yesterday and it went into limp mode on the way home from the dealership. I took the car back first thing this morning however been told it has to be inspected. I am wondering if it the same car as it had trade center wednesbury on the registration plate - did it begin with WO17 ?
I am really not a person that falls for the sales talk, but they got me good and proper. I walked away 3 times and he approached again and again. I made the purchase in the evening, but the salesman said it would be cleaned and valeted (buff and polish) when I came to pick it up. I must admit I didn't see all 19 scratches but he assured me they would all come out with this Buff and Polish. I went to pick the car up, it was filthy, dog hairs, sand and 19 scratches on the bodywork with 3 split door seals. I had already paid, but I left the car and asked for it to be sorted. Cannot get through to them on the phone, however they can leave me a message, saying they were trying to call me, not true. A week later I go to pick up the car. It hasnt been touched, ontop of that there are two large holes in the drivers side floor. Now they are saying they cannot do anything about the cosmetic damage, and kept the car again to clean it. Now Trade centre is saying I can't have a refund. Trading standards says I have a 14 cooling off period and my bank is saying I have to wait 14 days to file a refund/dispute. Worst place to go. While looking around they try to con people into different things but i suppose the sale team are told to do this. Being told different finance quotes was very confusing. However i got a car that was ok on finance but then was told within 3 minutes the instalments had changed when i challenged this they changed it back?. The after care team are absolute idiots they are so rude and haven't got any idea what they are doing. The car my family took away had a wire hanging down and the radio was not working on the same day we phoned them back and was told that we need to book it in 2 months time. The wire was just hanging down so clearly with this and the radio not working the final checks not done. After several phone calls and emails i took it back as the wire actually caught fire on the mat on the floor. It also gave the manager of showroom a electric shock, BUT i was still told it was safe and to wait for the appointment. After care team should be investigated
Don't buy from here. The sales guy was lovely, very helpful. Shame the same can't be said for the business manager. Incredibly rude. Spoke so fast you couldn't tell what she was saying. So much information to take in but just couldn't process it. Bullied me into taking out dealer warranty for 13 months on top of the price we'd been quoted for finance (sales guy never mentioned this). Actually had the cheek to say to me and my husband "if you want an expensive car you have to pay for it". It's a lot of money to part with for something you can't even test drive. We walked out and bought from a main dealer. Much better experience

Purchased a car from them not 12 months ago. Have had issues non stop with it, suspension gone, brake pads gone, brake discs corroded to the point it is now dangerous to drive (I got accused today this was my fault when 2 independent garages told me that 10k miles on those discs would have not caused the state they are in and could have killed me and my children, brake fluid gone. Got sold their “lifetime warranty” which covers absolutely nothing. Went into customer care to be told I’ve had it 12 months (purchased it on the 23rd October) and all of it is wear and tear when the suspension went months ago and my car has been in the garage 4 months out 11 months because of the constant repairs. Absolutely furious. I will be taking it to trading standards as I’ve been sold a dangerous car.

Kim Sawbridge I bought my car on the 23/08/23 from the Wednesdbury branch. 4 weeks ago then 2 weeks ago reported it was slipping out of 3rd gear. They booked the car into the Wednesdbury branch for the 31/10/23. They said if things got worse to contact them. Well things got worse I couldn't actually get my car into 3rd gear at all. I've now been without my car for 2 weeks. Phoned customer care many times. Promised a call backs no call backs. I don't even know when my car will be collected. We have always purchased our car from Lookers but lookers let us down big time. Thought trade center UK was different but sad to say at this point they seem worse. Watch this space for an update.

Bought my car end of sept 23 from wednesbury....driving home 2 bham found a knocking noise and an orange glow light on...went bk next day......showroom manager didnt want to know...customer care guy next door even less.....got my appointment this wed 18th,got 5 faults......want a refund as this car is deffo not worth the money i paid and not fit for purpose
Please avoid this place at all costs. Signed for a car on the 16.9.23 Car returned on the 19.9.23 Tried to cancel fiance as was still in the 14 days cooling off period couldn't do so has trade centre wouldn't reject the car as I had signed for repairs for the car. The car was driven for an hour total and I was advised not to drive the car untill all repairs was undertaken.

How's things going? Did you get your car fixed at Trade Centre UK? My car doesn't even get looked at until the end of this month. I dreading it. I can't imagine ever driving it again 😢

Brought a Vauxhall Corsa a week ago got there at my appointment at 10am still there at 3pm they was saying they was doing checks and whatever only to notice the other day that my exhaust is hanging off not like bracket or anything more as the pipe in the middle as come out I am a qualified mechanic so I looked underneath to find it had been bodged with gum and a little bit of weld so I took in they said it had to stay there i asked for a courtesy car and they said that I'm in a queue for one when ones a available I tried phoning no answer then I emailed them I asked them for updates and they said it could take up to 5 to 6 weeks lol as I know it's 6 hour job max it's got to be bad there as there are no courtesy cars available I could of done it myself but why should I when I'm paying £50 a month for this bullshit lifetime warranty I know car craft was bad when it was there all they done is change the name
